Coulter: I Will Give My Speech at UC Berkeley, Despite Its Cancellation

A conservative commentator still plans to make a speech at a university in California next week, despite her no longer being welcome.

    FOX’s Dave Anthony reports:

It could get interesting or ugly next Thursday in Berkeley when conservative Ann Coulter shows up, even though the University of California already cancelled her appearance:

(Coulter) “I am giving the speech. I don’t know. What are they going to do arrest me?”

She says two student groups invited her and then came Berkeley demands:

(Coulter) “You can’t speak in the evening. You have to speak in the daytime when kids are in classes. We’re not sure which room you’re going to use, we won’t tell you until the last minute.”

    Telling FOX’s Tucker Carlson:

(Coulter) “Intermediaries kept encouraging me to say, you know this is unfair they never do this to Liberals. I kept saying nope, I’ll do it. Okay. Okay.”

UC Berkeley spokesman Dan Mogulof says:

(Mogulof) “Our commitment to the First Amendment is unshaken.”

But he says so is the commitment to student safety, citing security concerns after recent protests in Berkeley turned violent.
