Are we going into a recession?
Despite all the enthusiasm and the "Trump Bump", there are some signs showing the economy slowing.
The markets saw major gains after Trump's victory last November, but some recent economic 'red flags' have put the brakes on the Trump Rally.
On Friday's show, Tom asked George Mason University Distinguished Professor of Finance Tony Sanders what those red flags are and if we're headed toward a recession.
Sanders, who is comparing our current sluggish growth to the GDP of struggling countries like France, says a recession is very possibly, but it is still avoidable.
And one factor that could keep us out of a recession, Sanders says is Donald Trump -- and specifically how much confidence consumers and the business world has in him.
