Deployed Soldier Surprises Mother at Nursing Pinning Ceremony

A nursing student gets the surprise of a lifetime.

FOX’s Krystin Goodwin has the details:

A deployed soldier returns home to surprise his mother at her graduation from nursing school.

Margaret “Penny” Pearson of Mankato, Minnesota, was about to achieve her lifelong goal of becoming a nurse. It was her pinning ceremony.

An emotional day, which got even better when her son U.S. Army Sgt. Dustin Pearson turned up to surprise mom after a year-long deployment in Kuwait…

Mom was brought to tears. She hugged her son tight.

Rasmussen College where Pearson graduated, shared the sweet moment on Facebook.
