President Trump's proposed budget is out ... and just as he promised on the campaign trail, it puts a l of government programs on the chopping block.
According to USA TODAY, 60 programs -- including the Corporation For Public Broadcasting -- could be axed if his plan gets passed.
This has liberals and even some Republicans upset.
But Tom Sullivan has a message for anyone who is upset their favorite program may be effected: you can open up your wallet and support it yourself.
On Thursday's show, Tom pointed out there was a time when charities and local communities helped the folks and we weren't so reliant on the federal government.
Tom says if you like CBP's programming or programs like "Meals on Wheels", Tom says you can also donate them your own money if they're impacted by budget cuts. Because of our massive debt and bloated government, Tom says even programs that "sound nice" need to go.
