Thursday on "The Alan Colmes Show," Alan spoke with Democratic pollster Douglas Schoen, who has written The Nixon Effect, which explains how Richard Nixon's presidency still influences the politics of today.
Schoen told Alan that if President Nixon were observing the 2016 race for the GOP nomination he would admire the success Donald Trump has had, would be sympathetic to Gov. John Kasich, and have a sense of loyalty to Jeb Bush because of President George H.W. Bush, but Schoen wasn't sure who Nixon would actually vote for. Schoen also told Alan to watch out for a decision from former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg on whether to run for president as an independent in the next two to three weeks, and why Schoen thinks Hillary Clinton will be the nominee for the Democrats.
