Rep. Grayson: The Democratic Establishment Are ‘Losers Who Lose For A Living’

Wednesday on "The Alan Colmes Show," Alan spoke with Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL), who is running for Sen. Marco Rubio's seat despite not being supported by the Democratic establishment in his home state. Rep. Grayson explained to Alan his stance on Medicare and Social Security, why he's says he's not an "errand boy" like his opponent Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-FL), and even a little bit about Donald Trump:

COLMES: Why is the party backing (Rep. Patrick Murphy) over you?

REP. GRAYSON: Because they want someone who's an errand boy for Wall Street. That's the way things work now in Washington DC. It's a conscious decision on their part. Just as we saw people attacking Elizabeth Warren a month ago or two months ago. The party actually wants to beat down the progressive wing of the Democratic party and instead elevate the Wall Street wing of the Democratic party.

COLMES: I guess the Democratic establishment, they're the ones saying, "He's abrasive," they want you to play nice with other people, they claim you don't do that.

REP. GRAYSON: They're losers, Alan. These are people that lose for a living. Look what happened last year with the Senate races. There were seven open seats, they lost six of them, alright? How many Republicans who were incumbents lost? Zero! How many Democrats who were incumbents lost? Six! These are losers who lose for a living, now they're trying to screw up my race.

COLMES: It would be nice if Donald Trump weren't sucking all the oxygen out of the room so no other candidate gets any attention right?

REP. GRAYSON: You know how it is in the media. We go through these obsessions. I don't know what else you call them just obsession. And Donald Trump is the obsession du jour.

COLMES: And that will pass?

REP. GRAYSON: Of course, like a kidney stone.
