One pilot's need for relief caused some panic for his co-pilot, ending with a terror scare in the skies above New York City Wednesday night that can be blamed on the pilot's bladder.
FOX News Radio's Chris Hoenig explains:
The Chautauqua Airlines flight was en route from Ashville, North Carolina to New York's Laguardia Airport when the First Officer radioed in:
(FO) "The Captain has disappeared in the back, and I have someone with a thick foreign accent trying to access the cockpit."
Fighter jets were alerted. The Captain? He was caught with his pants down, stuck in the plane's bathroom. A helpful passenger was trying to alert the First Officer of the toilet troubles. The flush-faced pilot eventually freed himself from the powder room predicament, explaining to Air Traffic Control:
(Captain) "I, myself, was at the lavatory...uh, the door latch broke, and had to fight my way out of it."
The plane landed safely.
