Ron Paul isn't getting his due. And his supporters are hopping mad.
The loopiest of Presidential candidates came in a strong second in the Iowa straw poll, and yet none of us began talking him up as if he's the next Rick Perry. So Paul-nuts--excuse me, Paul-oids--think they are being treated unfairly, and they may even encourage the 76 year old (who would be turning 78 in the first year of his administration) to run as an independent. That possibility holds great potential for Ron Paul morphing into Ross Perot, thereby defeating the GOP nominee and handing a second term to Barack Obama.
And since Paul-oids don't' seem to care because they don't see much difference between the GOP person and BHO, they will probably encourage him to run as a third party candidate.
That will be really really bad.
