After more than three decades and millions of dollars, John Menard has his victory at Indy...and it came through family.  His son, Paul Menard, picked up his first ever Sprint Cup victory, winning the Brickyard 400...  Menard on ESPN after the race.  Twitter is celebrating the occasion, including @jeff_gluck...

and @RutledgeWood...

Speaking of wheeling...the trade deadline in baseball means plenty of wheeling and dealing.  One of the biggest moves of the day sees injury-prone pitcher Erik Bedard heading from Seattle to the Boston Red Sox as part of a three-team trade with the Los Angeles Dodgers.  No other big names come as part of this deal, the rest of the pieces are prospects.  Opinions of Bedard are mixed...  @tbullard16 welcomes him to Boston...

@dannyoneill is happy to see him leave Seattle...

And while we're talking about changing teams, with the NFL labor deal done, free agency is in full swing.  And among the big names making a splash today, Plaxico Burress.  The wide receiver isn't going far from home, though.  He last played with the Giants before heading to jail for weapons offenses after shooting himself in the leg.  He'll still call the New Meadowlands Stadium home, this time with the Jets.  And former Jet Damien Woody is excited for the addition...

And NY fans on both sides, like @NiickOsma...

and @N_Monaco09...

...are happy to see him hang around.
