Twoppics, the stories behind the hottest topics on Twitter...
Your twoppic of the moment is Rodney King. The man known for the police brutality video and trial that sparked riots in southern California in the 1990's has found himself in the back of a police car again, this time arrested for drinking and driving. King admits to a long standing drinking problem, and it was the attempt by police to pull him over for DUI that led to the high-speed chase in 1991 that ended with officers being caught on video striking King as they arrested him. Four officers faced charges, but three were acquitted and the fourth left a hung jury. The ensuing riots left 55 dead and damage in excess of $1billion. This time around, @TheChattyMomma...
Why is it news that Rodney King got a DUI? Just cuz he was whooped by cops in the 90's doesn't make him a saint. My neighbor has a DUI, SO!

Your twoppic of the day is Dear Netflix, as the Twitterverse sends Tweet letters to the movie company, which is set to make customers reach deeper in their pockets for their subscriptions...FOX News Radio's Sabrina Sabbagh. So what does the Twittersphere think? Well, they're overwhelmingly against it...@ItsCalledClass is cancelling...
Dear Netflix, I'm breaking up with you. We're done 🙂

Dear Netflix, you're jeopardizing our relationship with your rate hike. I think I will have to cut you back! It is you, not me!
— Rob King (@Kall_me_King) July 13, 2011
and @Capt_Curmudgeon is cutting back...
Dear Netflix. You'll keep my mail business but now I've got to look at Amazon and Hulu for streaming (or even *gasp* doing without).

Your top twoppic is the US Women's National Team (USWNT), which is heading to it's first World Cup Final since 1999, when it won it all on home soil. Lauren Cheney, Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan scored in today's 3-1 win over France. Next up, Japan in Sunday's championship. The Japanese upset the host - and 2-time defending champs - Germany in quarters before beating Sweden 3-1 in their semifinal today. The US beat Japan 2 times in one week this past May, picking up a pair of 2-0 decisions as both teams tuned up for the tournament. Congratulatory messages are coming from all over...From everyday folks like @meghankling...
USA vs. Japan. Oh yeah! Here we go! One last game to be the best in the world. #USWNT #WWC2011
