The big lie is coming from the White House and the President and the Democrats, and here it is: the economy has been saved by President Obama.
They know the Republican nominee, whoever she or he is, will be running on the economy. It's a no brainer. With a double dip recession hanging over our heads like the sword of Damocles, unemployment rising not falling, and housing prices about to take another fall, the economy is the issue in the next election.
And if you're running the President's campaign, what do you have to brag about? Not jobs. Not deficit fighting. Not the housing market. So what do you do? You try to convince the public that things are a lot better than they really are.
That's where the Big Lie comes in. Just say the economy is better. Just repeat it over and over. Maybe you'll get lucky and maybe some people will believe it.
