People just can't stop talking about shamed New York Congressman Anthony Weiner... after news broke over Memorial Day weekend, of allegations that he'd engaged in online sexual discussions - with at least six women - including sending some lewd photos - over the past three years.
Allegations that he denied...and then later admitted to.
"Well, I think by not telling the truth in the beginning - that was a huge problem. You don't want to lie to the media, because then everybody digs in, and they expose every last detail that they can... so he's already made the first major error that he can't recover from."
That was Crisis Communications Expert Angela Hale, speaking with Forrest at WERC in Birmingham.
"Can they force Congressman Weiner to resign?"
"No. They can't force him to resign... they can make his life very uncomfortable and have been."
Fox News Political Analyst Jeff Birnbaum, speaking with Gary at WPLZ in Chattanooga, TN.
...so then, Jeff -- if he does decide to ride this scandal out, and stay in office... does he even stand a chance for re-election?
"Well, there's a question about who would run against him. That's been a fairly solid democratic district for a long time. And so - is there somebody who can beat him - is the question I think, and I don't know the answer to that question."
Now what about these six women... will we see legal action being taken?
Criminal Defense Attorney Elizabeth Kelley spent some time this morning with Sean at KKFT in Reno, NV - and had this to say:
"It all depends, Sean, on what these women want. If they want 15 minutes -- if they want privacy they won't do anything. If they want their fifteen minutes of fame, there may be other, and better ways to do it, like get a reality show, or write a book."
This certainly won't be the last we hear of this story... Sounds to me like the Weiner roast will continue.
