The Talk Radio Buzz – Bachmann 2012? Chuck E. Cheese Lawsuit

The Radio Buzz... the top talk radio stories of the day...

Audio clip:

Minnesota Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann... a Tea Party favorite - about to throw her hat into the Presidential ring?

Bachmann - a polarizing figure amongst her party...

But...

"She doesn't have the widespread name recognition maybe that some other candidates have... so does it benefit her to get in sooner rather than later when it comes to fundraising, and name recognition, and making sure that you're out there on the front lines?"

That was Forrest Goodman - the morning host at WREC in Memphis, TN...

The question - posed to Fox News Political Analyst Jeff Birnbaum...

What do you think, Jeff?

"Yes. I think so. I was actually a little surprised that she did not attend the first Fox News sponsored Republican Presidential debate a couple weeks ago in Greenville, SC. She normally is very eager to get herself out there, to be on television, to get herself better known in preparation for a potential run like this - so yes, but getting in earlier rather than later will help her."

Her advisers putting out word that a run was "very likely"... and just yesterday Bachmann told Fox's Martha MacCallum - she may be "moving up" the June deadline for announcing her decision of whether or not to run - based on recent "outpouring of interest."

As we buzz on...

Chuck E. Cheese... being sued - by a San Diego Mother -- for promoting gambling addictions in ...CHILDREN??

Does this case have legs?

Ted Webb and Mark Larson - at WFLA in Tampa - wanted an answer....

"Minimal."

The answer - from Joe Kelly - a Professor of Business Law at the State College of New York at Buffalo.

"Absolute minimal" - actually... or at least that's what Professor Kelly thinks...

"The bottom line is this - she has a 5 year old and a 3 year old - and they pay a quarter to play a game at Chuck E. Cheese - and if they're successful - they might be able to win a plastic ring or o a piece of candy."

So what is she upset about?

"Well, some of the games are games of chance and not skill, and she says this violates California gambling law..."

The mother - Debbie Keller - is suing for 5 million dollars - in advance of her children's FUTURE - gambling problems... ??

While Attorneys for Chuck E. Cheese are moving for dismissal of the suit - on grounds that the games are LEGAL and when the law was enacted by the state's Legislature - it wasn't intended to make operating a children's arcade game a criminal act.

...What are the odds???
