For weeks - Donald Trump has been extremely vocal about the necessity of the President to release his birth certificate... and today - unexpectedly -

The White House - did just that.

...releasing the President's long form birth certificate.

Fox News Radio's Mike Majchrowitz - has the story:

POTUS: "We do not have time for this kind of silliness."

MAJCHROWITZ: "President Obama expressing his bemusement and puzzlement over all the controversy surrounding his place of birth. The White House releasing a copy of his previously unseen long form birth certificate - in the hopes of finally quieting the issue. The President saying the last straw came when he released his latest budget proposal."

POTUS: "The dominant news story wasn't about these huge monumental choices that we're going to have to make as a Nation - it was about my birth certificate."

MAJCHROWITZ: "While the President hopes this settles the issue for most Americans - he says he expects that for some - even this won't be enough."

Mister Trump, had this to say:

"I am really honored, frankly, to have played such a big role in hopefully - hopefully - getting rid of this issue."

I don't think we've heard the last of "The Donald"...

Buzzing right along...

Students in one Texas school district do NOT have to stand for the Pledge -- if they don't want to...

A change that even the Superintendent doesn't agree with...

"It's an interesting issue though - because you know - it's funny - I think that they could argue that it's part of the exercise clause ...meaning that children need to exercise anyways... so at the very least they're not playing on their game boys - and they have to stand up and sit back down - and so you could argue that."

"Very pragmatic of you, Dan. Dan Conaway, Former Prosecutor on this thing..."

Conaway - speaking with Jack Harris at WFLA in Tampa, FL this morning.

"Has the school district complied? Did they say - OK We won't make them stand any more - and that's it - or is it going to have to go to the courts - again?"

"Well the thing of it is is that the problems that these small towns have is that there's no way they have the money to try to litigate this. BUT - right now in Texas - a lot of people are getting up in arms over this - and if you want to look at the counter argument and essentially the counter argument for this is very simple - and that is is that - we are all are Americans - and there is nothing wrong with expressing patriotism for our family - or rather our Country, and having that enforced by the school."

Sweeney Independent School District administrators - said that the change legally HAD to be made.

A change - which was prompted by the ACLU of Texas writing a letter to the district.

The letter - was in regards - to complaints that students had been disciplined previously for not standing...

We'll have to keep an eye on this one.
