The showdown is over - for now.

A last minute deal being reached - very late on Friday.

"The right wing of the Republican party and the left wing of the Democratic party is not happy - and they're likely to protest by voting no - on Thursday - when the actual budget deal of  thirty eight and a half billion dollars in spending cuts comes to the floor of the house and the senate for a final vote.

Fox News Political Analyst Jeff Birnbaum - speaking with Trey at 92.5 Fox News in Fort Myers, FL.

Speaker Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid - say they're both happy an agreement could be reached.

The continuing resolution was agreed upon -- just one hour and twenty minutes before the midnight deadline on Friday -- and was signed by the President on Saturday.

Despite dissenters on both sides of the aisle - will the actual budget deal pass?

Birnbaum continued:

"There's clearly enough votes to pass it - and so - a shut down has been averted. 

We'll know soon - if it'll actually pass or if we'll see another "shutdown - showdown"...

Gas prices - are up to 4 dollars a gallon in some places - including the Nation's Capitol and California.
