Gift and RE Gift alike?

Deny it all you want - you've re-gifted at least ONCE in your life.

<SKINNER WOC 1222 CUT 1> TRT :14

<Sean Patrick - WOC> "I am slightly ashamed to admit that I've taken part in re- gifting."

<Robin Skinner> "There's no shame in regifting."

<Sean Patrick - WOC> "No?"

<Robin Skinner> "It's ok."

<Sean Patrick - WOC> "Really? Ok."

<Robin Skinner> "Yes. Re-gift without fear. Without shame. You can do it. It's ok."

That was Re-Gifting Etiquette Expert Robin Skinner - speaking Sean Patrick at WOC in Davenport, IA.

<Robin Skinner> "Re-gifting can be funny, but also can be done in a way that it's ok. And it shouldn't bring that shame along with it. You know - as long as you're gifting in the right spirit. You know - in the giving spirit - then it is ok."

<Sean Patrick - WOC> "And what we're talking about is essentially you get a gift that's not really your taste - or you don't have any use for - or maybe you already have one - and you give it to somebody else who might be able to make use of it."

<Robin Skinner> "Really."

So... with that said - will you consider giving the gift of "RE-GIFT" this year?  ...I just may.

Buzzing right along...

The START Nuclear Arms Reduction Treaty - with Russia - faces its final hurdle with the US Senate - today.

Are you in favor of the START treaty? That question asked of DAVID SHORR -- Program Officer at the Stanley Foundation, longtime observer of diplomatic efforts, national security and foreign policy by Scott Vorhees at KFAB in Omaha this morning.

His answer?

<SHORR KFAB 1222 CUT 1> TRT :15

"It's very much a step by step process. But this is certainly one that we can take now and will help us as we try and keep the heat on countries like Iran and North Korea -- which is the real concern."

The Treaty - commits the World's 2 largest nuclear powers - the US and Russia - to reach parity on the number of nuclear warheads - the US would have to cut our numbers significantly.
