With Midterm elections just two weeks away - are democrats - running scared???

President Obama thinks that American's are so "SCARED" about the upcoming election - that they aren't thinking straight.

That said - by the Commander in Chief - over the weekend - in an attempt to drive up turnout - as a means to minimize his parties expected loss at the polls.

Is he right? Is fear driving the minds of potential voters?

"Fear is in the eye of the beholder. I think most democrats would say that's what it is. I think most republicans would say its enthusiasm and anger or disgust at what's going on in Washington. So I think it just depends on what your point of view is."

Sean Trende - Political Analyst for Real Clear Politics speaking with Scott at WERC.

Will the President's attempts to motivate his base work? We'll have to wait and see.

Buzzing right along...

The alternative minimum tax...  needs patching.

The tax -  UNLIKE the Bush Tax cuts - applies to the year 2010.

"And it's happening at a time when unemployment is at 9 1/2 % - and people are being foreclosed on their homes - and America is having a tough time. And here is a situation where the President says that we've given tax cuts to 95% of the tax payers - but people between 40,000 - 70,000 dollars of total taxable income - if nothing is done will wind up paying an additional - AN ADDITIONAL - 2,000 - 5,000 of federal tax - when that was never indented to be the case."

That was Jonathan Krasney - President of Krasney Financial LLC speaking with Matt Patrick at WTRC in South Bend, IN.

Middle-income tax payers could face a huge increase on their tax payments if Congress doesn't act soon. Some say it's the most urgent issue to face congress AFTER midterm elections.
