The tea party and its candidates - building momentum in the polls...

"It's an important voice - that will have to be reckoned with in congress - if the numbers that we just heard - come true."

A Florida judge - ruling to ban the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.

The Obama administration now asking Judge Virginia Phillips to stick to her decision - pending an appeal.

"I think the administration really wants it to be repealed...not just a stay."

That was Ruth Gardner-Loew, Executive Director of Atticus Circle - the largest organization for straight supporters of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender rights in the nation.

Why? Gardner-Loew says that the fear is:

"That as long as the law is still on the books - there's a chance that it can raise its ugly head and come back to haunt all of us."

That was Gardner-Loew speaking with Matt Patrick at WTRC in South Bend, IN.

The Obama administration - though seeking an end to "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", does think that an immediate termination of the policy would be chaotic for the military and gays actively serving.
