Twoppics, the stories behind the hottest topics on Twitter.

Hot twoppic of the moment is baseball great Don Mattingly, who will replace Joe Torre as the LA Dodgers manager.  Mattingly has been the Dodgers hitting coach since 2008, and was a six-time All-Star as a first baseman for the Yankees. Torre, at the age of 70 will step down after a disappointing year  -- the Dodgers are battling to reach the .500 mark. This will be the first time Torre's team does not reach the postseason in 14 seasons.  Actress and avid Dodgers fan @Alyssa_Milano tweets Dear Mr. Torre, I'm sad u're leaving but I understand. It was awesome seeing you in Dodger Blue while it lasted. Sincerely, a Dodger fanatic

Hot twoppic of the day is the national holiday Constitution and Citizenship Day, which is observed on the anniversary of the day the Constitution was signed - September 17th. The holiday was made by law in 2007 which requires all government-funded institutions to "complete instruction of citizens in their responsibilities and opportunities as citizens of the United States..." Events are planned at schools and universities across the country.

Hot twoppic of the week is the Pope, after six men were arrested on Friday over an alleged terrorist plot against the Pope hours before he delivered one of his trip's key addresses in Westminster Hall. Five of the men were London street cleaners. Despite the scare, the Pope continued with the second day of his four-day state visit without interruption.
