A Florida man jailed over a facebook "friend request".

The 54 year old man was jailed for requesting his soon to be ex wife "friend" him.

She - had an order of protection against him.

Chicago based employment attorney Kelly Saindon thinks that eventually the law will have to be changed to catch up with technology.

"It would be a good idea for the law to be updated to reflect the technologies available. No texting, no contact via cellular phones, no internet contact. That would be important.

A police report shows the man contacted his wife twice last month via facebook.
