The radio buzz... the top talk radio stories of the day...

The debate rages on - over the proposed building of a mosque in the shadow of the site of the 911 terror attacks.

Politicians on BOTH sides of the aisle are being very careful taking a position on whether or not it should be allowed to be built there.

"The mosque issue does not seem to be going away. Almost every democrat is being asked about it essentially, and they will have to respond in one way or another - and even responding - taking a side is a negative probably, for the democrats."

That was Fox News Political Analyst Jeff Birnbaum speaking with Kevin at KIDO.

The most notable democrat to step out AGAINST the building of the mosque - going against the Presidents stance - is Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

...Political pandering due to his upcoming election this November?

Will his stance make a difference in the voter's decision on who to elect?

Only time will tell how it'll play out in the polls on election day - along with many other democrats who are in the hot seat.

And that's just the beginning of the buzz:

Fourteen days of deliberating is what it took for a jury to find Former IL Gov Rod Blagojevich -guilty on just ONE count - out of a total of 24 - for lying to federal agents.

The judge - declaring a mistrial on the remaining counts.

Prosecutors intend to proceed with retrying the case.

John and Amy at Chicago's WIND wanted to know: it worth another go round?

"The numerical count was 11 to 1 for conviction. Any trial lawyer, like myself, is going to tell you - well that doesn't necessarily bode well for former Governor Blagojevich on a retrial."

That was Former Federal Prosecutor Doug Burns.

The one count the former Governor was found guilty on - carries a sentence of up to five years in prison.
