Twoppics, the stories behind the hottest topics on Twitter.
Hot twoppic of the moment: The Teen Choice Awards (TCA). Hosted by pop star Katy Perry and the boys of the hit show Glee, the big winner was (who else) Twilight. Robert Pattinson won four surfboards, including Choice Male Movie Star of the summer. Team Jacob also took home a few, with Taylor Lautner beating out Pattinson for Choice Male Actor and Choice Male Hottie. The Teen Choice Awards air Monday night on FOX.
Hot twoppic of the day is Oscar winning actress Patricia Neal who died on Sunday at the age of 84, succumbing to lung cancer. Neal won an Oscar in 1964 for the movie Hud opposite Paul Newman.
Hot twoppic of the week is embattled supermodel Naomi Campbell. Last week Campbell testified at the war crimes trial of former Liberian President Charles Taylor. The prosecution is trying to prove that Taylor exchanged blood diamonds obtained by Sierra Leone rebels for weapons. The model testified that she received a pouch of "dirty little stones" at a celebrity dinner in 1997 in South Africa, but said she didn't know who they were from or even what they were. Actress Mia Farrow was also at the dinner and testified on Monday, contradicting Campbell's testimony. Carole White, Campbell's ex-agent, corroborated Farrow's account.
