Twoppics, the stories behind the hottest topics on Twitter.
Hot twoppic of the moment is Joran van der Sloot, the 22-year old Dutch playboy who was arrested in the disappearance of American teen Natalee Halloway. Halloway vanished after being seen last with van der sloot outside an Arubian nightclub in 2005. Now he has been named the prime suspect in the death of 21-year old Stephany Flores, who was found dead in a hotel room in Lima, Peru. Flores was beaten and stabbed to death in a room booked in van der Sloot's name -- authorities believe he has fled Peru and may be headed to Argentina.
Hot twoppic of the day is the "Twilight" Eclipse Soundtrack, which won't hit stores until June 8th. But, for those who can't wait, or who just want to get a sneak peak - the soundtrack will be streaming for 24 hours online, until Thursday afternoon. The album has been labeled by critics as a hipsters dream, featuring indie bands like Muse, Band of Horses, Sia, and the Dead Weather. So, even if you might be embarrassed by the cover art on your iPod, it may be worth the download.
Hot twoppic of the week is the Gulf oil spill as communities in Florida prepare for the oil to hit their shores. Pensacola mayor Mike Wiggins tells FOX News the city isn't waiting for BP to protect them from the incoming oil... they already have skimmers in the water, plans to deploy booms, and teams on their beaches.
