Abbey Road studios - where the Beatle's recorded many of their classics... and where bands like Pink Floyd and Radiohead have recorded - can you imagine it being torn down and turned into upscale housing?! Not if National Trust of London has anything to say about it. National trust - which protects and preserves special places in England, Wales and North Ireland -- is considering purchasing the famed studios... the studios are thought to be worth between 16 million and 48 million dollars... Former Beattle, Paul McCartney hopes that the studio is saved... but made no offer to buy it himself...

The US Olympic team leads in medal totals - having earned 14 medals thus far, 5 of which are GOLD.
Leading the charge was superstar and defending champ SHAUN WHITE - Earning Olympic men's half-pipe Gold yesterday. 23 year old White scored 48.4 out of 50 on his SECOND RUN after 46.8 in his FIRST, which by itself was enough OWN the gold. White's "MOVE" for the gold winning run - the infamous Double McTwist 1260... White entered this years Olympics as a hot favorite having won his third consecutive gold in the X Games super pipe, last month.
