Dave Matthews Band has this week's FOXLight music release round-up all to themselves, as the only new release of any consequence this week is Europe 2009, a boxed set compiling "Live From Lucca", a 3 CD document of their 3 hour marathon show in the Italian city, and "Across The Pond", a DVD shot at the Brixton Academy in London.
Rounding us out for the week, and the year, are the U.S. Top Ten biggest selling albums of 2009 according to Billboard magazine, using sales data compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.
Starting at the top, is Taylor Swift's Fearless, her second album and with sales of over 5 million, likely not her last.
Just behind at number 2 is I Am...Sasha Fierce, the latest from red-hot Beyoncé.
Number 3 belongs to Nickelback with Dark Horse, which was co-produced by former AC/DC and Foreigner knob-twister "Mutt" Lange.
The soundtrack to the film Twilight sinks its teeth into number 4, on the power of tracks by Muse, Paramore and Linkin Park.
Miley Cyrus' alter-ego Hannah Montana has the fifth biggest selling album of 2009: the soundtrack to Hannah Montana: The Movie.
Britney Spears got her career back on track with Circus, selling almost double platinum, good enough for number 6.
Holding the number 7 position is Kanye West's 808s and Heartbreak, ending a sobering year in which his mom died, but his ego sure didn't.
Lady GaGa took off like a rocket, and her debut The Fame holds steady at number 8.
The number 9 top selling album of 2009 was the return of Eminem, Relapse, which Slim Shady plans to follow up in early 2010.
And rounding out the list at number 10 is The Black Eyed Peas with The E.N.D. (or The Energy Never Dies), which no doubt would have charted higher had it not been released halfway through the year.
And a look ahead to 2010 shows plenty of new music to look forward to from the likes of Peter Gabriel, Barry Manilow, Nick Jonas, k.d. lang, Natalie Merchant, Eminem and Sade.
