Annoyed aliens lead off this week's FOXLight DVD Release roundup.  They've been kept waiting for 28 years while world governments argue about what to do with them, and now they've grown restless in District 9.  The stars here are the effects, all the more terrific knowing that this was actually a low-budget affair.

An offbeat office romance is followed over a year and a half, in no particular order, in (500) Days of SummerJoseph Gordon-Levitt thinks new co-worker Zooey Deschanel might be "the one", and he might, or might not, be right.

Double Golden Globe nominee Sandra Bullock did not earn one for All About Steve, her seemingly only failure in a banner year. Here, she plays for laughs, some unintentional, as a woman falls for Bradley Cooper and thinks they're an item...but he thinks she's a stalker.

Also out this week...

Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill creator Mike Judge returns to live action absurdity with Extract. Jason Bateman stars as the owner of a flavor extract factory about to cash in and sell his business when a freak workplace accident threatens to derail the sale and his personal life. Also starring Mila Kunis, Kristen Wiig, and Ben Affleck.

The Edge, Jack White, and Jimmy Page meet, talk about, and play music together in the guitar-fetishist documentary It Might Get Loud. Their respective careers are also covered individually, but their summit is the centerpiece of a film about unabashed love of the electric guitar.

And TV on DVD this week includes:

Family cable favorites Kyle XY: The Complete 3rd and Final Season, and Secret Life of the American Teenager: Season 3.

Classic comedy Taxi: The Compete 5th and Final Season

And Family Guy Presents: Something Something Something Dark Side is The Empire Strikes Back retold with the cartoon cast taking over each role.  Need I say more than Baby Stewie is Darth Vader?
