What's hot this very minute? Diane Sawyer. Charlie Gibson is retiring as anchor of ABC "World News" and will be replaced by "Good Morning America" host Diane Sawyer. She will become the second woman to anchor an evening newscast -- Katie Couric being the first. Sawyer will take over in January 2010.

Your hot twoppic of the day is Indonesia. Earlier today, a powerful 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck the southern coast of Java killing at least 32 people and rocking buildings 120 miles away in their capital, Jakarta. No tsunami watches were in effect after the first 15 minutes of the aftermath.

Your hot twoppic of the week is singer and diva, Whitney Houston, who proved that her fans, would indeed, always love her. After years of personal struggle and public speculation, Whitney made her comeback this week. Her new album "I Look to You" was released on September 1st, followed by a performance in Central Park before thousands of devoted and often emotional fans. Whitney Houston remains in the Guinness Book of World Records as music's "most awarded female artist of all time."
