Russell Crowe is a Washington D.C. investigative reporter leading the pack of DVD releases in this week's FOXLight. Ben Affleck is a politician-on-the-rise whose assistant is murdered in State of Play. Crowe investigates that murder and uncovers a conspiracy, lies and lack of integrity. In Washington D.C. Imagine that! Jason Bateman, Robin Wright-Penn, and the great Helen Mirren also star in this suspense thriller.

Documentary cameras followed three separate animal families: Polar Bears, Elephants, and Humpback Whales for a story usually told on Public Television. But, this time it's DisneyNature who presents this footage as Earth, a heartwarming, suspenseful and occasionally humorous look at existence on this great planet. And it's narrated by James Earl Jones, a voice as majestic as the visuals.

Also out this week...

Terry Fator: Live from Las Vegas captures the ventriloquist-cum-impressionist act that won him a million bucks on "America's Got Talent", and a hundred million more as the act that replaced the late Danny Gans at the Mirage in Sin City. If you can't get there, now you can see Fator and his many puppets and personalities in your very own La-Z-Boy.

And TV shows premiering on DVD this week include broadcast TV hits...

CSI: Season 9

Desperate Housewives: Season 5

Brothers and Sisters: Season 3

Supernatural: Season 4

Heroes: Season 3

Two and a Half Men: Season 6

and cable favorites...
