As many as 300 National Guardsmen — along with Army and Air Force personnel have been bunking down at the Lexington Army in Manhattan, the New York Post reported.

But those numbers will be reduced to 60 by Wednesday — to accommodate a Victoria’s Secret runway show featuring Rihanna and Justin Bieber.

The Post reported that military crews will be relocated to hotels and other armories across the city — where they are expected to bunk five to 10 per room.

“It’s going to be tight. It’s not ideal,’’ said one Air National Guardsman.

    Our priorities our horrible sometimes…..

  3. What are they thinking? This is an inopportune time for nonsense. How many peoples lives are dependent on those National Guardsmen? Love of people comes before all else.

  4. The fawning over celebrities in this country is ridiculous. Let Bieber & VS find another venue!!!

The entertainment elite can drop dead. Their sh*t stinks like everyone else. Ain't nothing special about them compared to the troops.

  6. If this were Bush 43, it would most certainly be his fault…..O shows up, shakes a few hands, hits the road and everything's peachy

  7. I think NY is nuts and I'm an expert as I'm from Staten Island.

    Absolutely Ludicrous!

  9. Best thing to do was cancel the show, but, oh no, can;t do that! Little Justin might get his feelings hurt and the models can't strut their naked stuff before a bunch of men! The first priority is the cold and starving people!

So much for honoring our servicemen. Sad

  11. What is wrong with people…why doesn't Bieber donate some help for those in need and set priorities straight…………..

  12. Why in the hell is a fashion show going on? This is like nothing I have ever seen during a disaster!

Sounds like that NY mayor just needs to get him a shovel and get out there and fix things himself.

Question…..are ALL the proceeds from this "thing" going to help the cold, hungry and homeless people in NY and provide protection for the ones who are being robbed by looters? Otherwise, CAN IT!! Waste of time and priorities!!

What person in their right mind would worry about the Bieb, Rihanna and the VS models when NY is facing one of their worst disasters??

Well this is a load of crap. Our military deserves better than this BS.

  17. funny how the right claim to want to support private business and now when the government is trying to accommodate the private business of a fashion designer that will bring revenue, they cry like a baby. I am grateful for the troops service, sacrifice, and inconvenience but they are trained to experience uncomfortable situations to make life better for civilians and country. complaining about a crowded room for a little while is silly in my opinion; especially from someone who knows they are 'paid' to do uncomfortable things.

Should we allow the entertainment elite use the Pentagon for the next Oscars? I'd sleep comfortably if this Victoria's Secret show and its celebriturd ilk would relocate to, lets say Kandahar?

  19. 'Yo, dude! It's like, Justin Bieber, man. He's here, man, he cares so much. I mean like, what's up, man? Why so much hate? Like, your little storm thing can't hold back the love, man. The 'show' must go on. Suuuck on it, little man. You don't get no free sexy underwear, niether.
