Emile is 39-years-old. She cares for her elderly mother. And Emile has Lupus.
She voted for President Obama thinking that the Affordable Care Act would work for someone like her – someone with a chronic illness. But like many other Americans, Emile was deceived.
“I thought that Obamacare was going to be a good thing,” she told Americans for Prosperity. “Instead of helping me, Obamacare has made my life almost impossible.”
It wasn’t long before her health insurance plan was canceled. She said the plan was “stellar and affordable.”
Emile said she is struggling to make ends meet. She’s had to take a second job to pay for the higher out-of-pocket healthcare costs.
“I’m very disappointed in Barack Obama,” she said. “He made promises he didn’t keep and that’s disheartening.”
Americans for Prosperity passes along info on Marsha Blackburn’s guest to the State of the Union tonight.
AFP has also launched an ad campaign about Emile, a woman suffering from a chronic illness who lost her health insurance.
The ad is exclusive to Fox for now… Let me know if you are interested in using it and I might be able to keep it exclusive for a while longer.
Tonight, Emile will be attending the State of the Union address as a guest of Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN).
