THE INVASION OF THE UNITED STATES. I’M TODD STARNES WITH THIS FOX NEWS AND COMMENTARY NEXT.
ACK – COMMERCIAL
IN EIGHTEEN FORTY SIX, TWO THOUSAND MEXICAN SOLDIERS
INVADED AMERICAN TERRITORY AND KILLED AMERICAN TROOPS.
THE ATTACK CAME TO BE KNOWN AS THE THORNTON AFFAIR – AND LED TO THE MEXICAN-AMERICAN WAR.
MORE THAN A HUNDRED SIXTY YEARS LATER,
OUR NATION HAS BEEN INVADED BY MILLIONS OF ILLEGALS — STREAMING ACROSS OUR SOUTHERN BORDER.
THE ONLY THING STANDING IN THEIR WAY – BORDER PATROL STATIONS.
NOW COMES WORD THAT THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION WANTS TO SHUT DOWN
AT LEAST NINE STATIONS IN FOUR STATES
AND ONE OF THOSE BORDER PATROL STATIONS
IS LOCATED ALONG A MAJOR CORRIDOR FOR ILLEGALS.
THE DECISION COMES JUST WEEKS AFTER PRESIDENT OBAMA
GAVE EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND ILLEGALS WHAT AMOUNTS TO BLANKET AMNESTY.
I’M SURE IT WAS JUST A COINCIDENCE.
LET’S JUST HOPE THE GOVERNMENT DOESN’T TURN
THOSE BORDER PATROL STATIONS INTO VOTER REGISTRATION STATIONS.
I’M TODD STARNES.
So I'm guessing all those independent stats about illegal Mexican immigration being way down and deportations being way up over the last five years don't mean much, huh? By all indications the "streaming" has long stopped, but let's not let facts get in the way of a good "rile up the masses" story! Not that I think closing the border patrol stations is a good idea, we still need them. But let's be a little clearer about the current state of illegal immigration.
Mr. Starnes: Two points (conveniently not mentioned in your rant):
First, Republican icon Saint Ronald of Reagan granted blanket amnesty to about 3 million illegal aliens by signing the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. That's blanket amnesty, which Obama has not done.
Secondly, the Obama administration's deportation of illegal aliens is up over the Bush administration's. It's about 6% higher for all illegal aliens and about 70% higher among deportation of illegal aliens who have committed crimes in this country. (Both figures verified by Politifact).
Ooohhh… Facts and reality aren't very popular here…. Watch it!
Fact is you are a flaming-fag-asshole-child molesting-sissy.Do the world a favor and go jump off a very high bridge.Flaming jerk.
Howard: I know exactly what you mean. I expect to be blocked here for posting inconvenient facts like this. It's already happened on the main Faux News comments section even though I never posted anything offensive there — other than facts and stats that refute their party line.

Reagan admittedly regretted the amnesty and was persuaded some members of his party to go through with it in that it would only affect a small number of illegals. Boy did he find out otherwise. Contrast that with McKenyans attempts to get a dream act passed, his push for an amnesty that would legalize far more illegals than Reagan, and his back room attempts to bypass congress in trying to make it to where only non-criminal illegal criminals are allowed to stay but those really bad ones must go. If the boy blunder is deporting more people than Bush, then how is it that he refuses to streapngthen the border and hear the cry for help from boder states? Why does he sleep in bed with the racist La Raza and pro illegal politicians? Why does he tell Arizona that the problem there is a federal issue and responsibility, yet the government is doing not one thing, nada to keep that part of the border secure and enforce the law? The Usurper-in-Chief's numbers are overly inflated and he has done nothing except to earn the congratulations of the Mexican president or the good job he's doing on this issue that neither enforces the law nor deports the desired number of illegals. The will of the legal American people is being completely ignored, and he will pay dearly.
You can just call him President Barack Obama, Joel. After all, he did beat the best you and your ilk could put up against him the last time. Then slow down when you write; it might look more like a real comment and less like an incoherent, misspelled rant. Lastly, go take your blood pressure medication, Joel. You're gonna blow an o-ring!
Edwards Greg It already happened to me here. I posted a number of comments on the "Homeowner Jailed" story that Starnes put up yesterday, and 95% of them are gone – including the ones that questioned why my posts were removed. So much for fair and balanced free speech, huh? On the bright side, it now looks like the other commenters are taking their attitudes out on some phantom guy named "Joe" who has no posts in their threads.
As for the illegals thing, you have it quite right. Several INDEPENDENT studies have shown illegal immigration way down, deportation way up, and voluntary returns way up as well over the last five years. Obama is pushing for a dream act for kids of illegals who are actually contributing to our country. He isn't sparing the parents from what I can tell (correct me otherwise please). I don't see what is wrong with that.
Edwards Greg
My blood pressure is always low sweetheart, thanks for showing your concern, but I didn't ask. At least I speak as someone who gives a damn about the country as opposed to members of the party of the jackass who welcome this current situation of the topic at hand with open fanfare and much ado about nothing. For your information, I can address McKenyan to you and your candy-ass, socialist loving ilk however the hell I want to. There were no great choices from either party to begin with, but blind ignorance, race and buying into inexperience won out, albeit in a sharply divided electorate. Half of the country is against him, and he didn't become president by a landslide to begin with. What he is is an abject failure at its finest, who can't even manage anything bigger than his pocketbook let alone the economy and problems of a nation of three-hundred million, while allowing immigration and a porous border to continue to be out of control, at the same time attempting to maintain an illusion of so called leadership and control of the situation. Regardless of this forum topic, the fact of the matter is that its dangerous to remove personnel from the border while violence in Mexico, human and drug trafficking, and incursions from rogue elements of the Mexican military continue to thrive. Your boy best get down on his knees and beg Michelle to give him his back his balls, that way he can try and prove that he's not the coward that everyone sees him as on this and many other issues.
Joel, according to your own Facebook page, you're on 'disability' for 'depression' you claim was caused by being sh*t canned from your job (probably for incompetence)…… You also have a history of domestic abuse… not really strong indications of low blood pressure….

It's common knowledge hat you're an un-American, a sexually twisted deviant, an ignorantly racist son of a bitch, and religious bigot as well as a molester of kids and a rapist who enjoyed having our way with innocent Vietnamese during your army days. How you escaped justice and the. Firing squad is anyone's guess. By the way, I got a bullet here for you whenever you man up enough to use it on yourself.
Joke Rivers,
Projection- 'a psychological defense mechanism where a person subconsciously denies his or her own attributes, thoughts, and emotions, which are then ascribed to the outside world, usually to other people.'
Thanks for playing, ya wife beating drunk!
Coward Crybaby
Practice what you preach you un-American, sexual deviant, religious bigoted, molester of kids, rapist of women, ignorantly racist son of a bitch. The bullet has your name etched on it, so whenever you feel like a man.
A 'man' doesn't need a weapon, tinkerbell…. Of course, a 'man' can take care of his wife, and keep a job!
A 'man' doesn't go on disability because he's 'depressed'….
Hmm, quite a resume, Joel. You've failed in pretty much every aspect of human existence…I'd suggest you kill yourself but you'd probably fail at that, too… Then the taxpayers would have to keep taking care of you forever….
Congratulations, loser!
Looks like McKenyan is hungry for voters. But yes, leaving the border weak like that is not only dangerous, but dastardly when this laughing stock of a government is supposed to be protecting "all" borders from any and every illegal entrants. Self serving intent, personal agendas and extreme stupidity on this issue will eventually serve to fracture even more an already fractured America. What ever happened to enforcing the laws that are already on the books that aren't broken and just not being enforced? I say deport the politicians starting with this anti-American charged with defending the Constitution and our nation, Herr McKenyan.
Hush, Cletus.
Edwards Greg
Stifle Edith.
Oh look, I posted another reply that I can no longer see. The free speech movement at Fox is continuing strong! Hey Joel, how's that for you, you complain about freedoms being broken by Dems all the time, but my comments have been being deleted for the last two days. Apparently I can post a regular comment, but my replies are gone, unless you can somehow see them and I can't. Fair and balanced my Aunt Fannie.
Todd Starnes for your daily herpderp in support of religiofascism, nationalism, homophobia, and lunacy. Lol – I'm certain that Christ is face palming. Jean Luc, where are you?
We allow Mexico to export their poorest and most disgruntled constituency to the USA. The taxpayers provide various welfare payments to this constituency. This Mexican constituency then proceeds to send money back to Mexico. Get the money trail, welfare from US taxpayers morphs into aide to Mexican govt. Remittance from Mexican in the US is second largest income for the Mexican govt.
No comprende.

This country is going to pot. We need to start at the top and remove all of them from office. The system is broken. Before we know it China will refuse to renew our debt to them and then we will simply fall apart because we can't pay the bills. Then it won't matter. Someone else will take us over. Mexico, China or who ever.
Um… wow. Starnes takes his ability to twist facts to new heights with this one. The Nueces Strip was hardly US territory at the time of this 'invasion', the 'treaties' of Velasco not withstanding. Ask Abe Lincoln about that one. Does Starnes take his history lessons from Glen Beck?
It would seem that Mr. Lincoln disagrees with Starnes: http://lincolnpapers2.ncsa.illinois.edu/1848/05/200488.pdf , a letter to the Reverend Peck, in which Mr. Lincoln takes Peck to task for his rabble-rousing speech, and the lack of facts and incorrect statements contained within. Here is an interesting excerpt from Lincoln's letter to Peck: "It is a fact, that the United States Army, in marching to the Rio Grande, marched into a peaceful Mexican settlement and frightened the inhabitants away from their homes and their growing crops." Lincoln goes on to list more facts ignored or obfuscated by Peck (sounds like Peck and Starnes are birds of a feather, hey wot?) that strongly support the position that the US was the aggressor and the invader in precipitating not only the Thornton Incident but also the war.
I don't think Starnes expects his readers to do any research on his claims. Given the histrionics pitched by what appears to be a majority of his readers, I'd say his expectations are well-founded. Talk about lemmings being led over the cliff …
We're on a roll this morning … After calling to question the obfuscatory Reverend Peck's position and listing facts that show Peck to be either ignorant or deliberately misleading, Mr. Lincoln then challenges Peck: "If you admit that they are facts, then I shall be obliged for a reference to any law of language, law of states, law of nations, law of morals, law of religion – any law or (can't read Lincoln's handwriting for that word)- in which an authority can be found for saying those facts constitute "no aggressions."
We don't deport them when they get here, why have any stations?
