A group of Occupy Wall Street protesters disrupted a Right to Life rally and threw condoms on Catholic school girls inside the Rhode Island state capitol building.

Barth Bracy, executive director of Rhode Island Right to Life, said their rally had to be cut short after the Occupiers began screaming and refused to allow a Catholic priest to deliver a prayer.

“This is their idea of civil speech but we believe it’s an outrage,” Bracy told Fox News & Commentary “They started heckling, chanting and blowing whistles. They shouted down a priest.”

Last week’s rally was held inside the rotunda of the state capitol in Providence. Bracy said the Occupiers, along with some pro-choice demonstrators, infiltrated the crowd of some 150 pro-lifers. He said the pro-life crowd was made up of senior citizens, mothers with young children, Cub Scouts, and school kids.

Bracy said one of the most egregious incidents occurred when an Occupier climbed to the third floor balcony and dumped a box of condoms on girls from a Catholic school.

“What kind of individual throw condoms at Catholic school girls,” Bracy asked.

Bracy said capitol police were outnumbered and overwhelmed by the protesters. At one point they even attacked State. Rep. Doreen Costa.

“This was one of the most disturbing sights I’ve ever seen,” Costa told Fox News & Commentary. “It was horrendous. “

Costa said a female Occupier hit her on the head with a sign and shoved her “moppy” hair in the lawmaker’s face.

“I told her that she really stunk bad and needed to take a bath,” Costa said.

Costa said she was “speechless” when they showered the young girls with condoms. So was Father Bernard Healey, the executive director of the Rhode Island Catholic Conference.

“It’s disgraceful behavior,” Healey said. “The week before, the pro-abortion people had their rally and no one bothered them. Apparently freedom of speech only applies to those who agree with you.”

Healey called the protesters “mean-spirited” and “ugly.”

He was trying to deliver a blessing to the crowd when the demonstrators shouted him down.

“I led the crowd in singing ‘God Bless America’ to try and down out their awful chants,” he said.

Joseph Little, the chief of the capitol police, told Fox News & Commentary that he did not receive any reports of condoms being dropped on children. He also said to his knowledge, nothing happened to that rose to the level of needing to call in additional support.

Little said no one was arrested.

  1. put a couple of thousand in the arizona jail in pink underware and put them out on the roads cleaning up the highways at least they will be doing something productive.

  2. People around the nation. This is a call to fight back.
If you are at a event and these people infiltrate your group. Make them wish they never had. It is time to beat the crap out of these people. When they arrive to pick up the pieces. the rest of us need to stand together and say they tripped.

  3. The "occupiers" ought to get a life and a job! Shame on them!

  4. Of course the occupiers threw condoms on Catholic school girls because the occupiers are animals and have nothing in common with human beings. Treat them like the animals they are. They might as well have been baboons throwing feces on people at the zoo. The occupiers look like baboons, smell like baboons, and behave like baboons. Let them receive the same reward that hostile baboons receive in the wild.

I think that actually is sexual harassment of minors. If any other adult did something like that they'd probably be arrested.

    • First of all, the anti-choice kids were there with their parents at a rally about reproductive rights. They invited speakers who talked about sex, drugs, and their abortions. Where do you get the idea that the occupiers could come up with anything more sexually damaging than that?

  6. whatever your political view, last I checked, it was illegal for adults to assault high school age girls or boys for that matter. so are we going to megans-law these occupiers who assaulted underage girls they KNEW were underage with sexual paraphernalia?

    • there was no assault. nobody threw anything at anyone.

    • Susan O'Connell the story read (see above written in The Queen's English) "threw condoms on" the students in question. Did we pass remedial English in our PS-432 public school?

    • Robert Germanovich The Pro-life group that marched wrote the story. They even interviewed themselves. There is a video on You tube that shows marchers and a few protester, but no one was throwing anything. You really can't believe everything you read.

    • Sandi Modrcin Hayes ok, that sounds slightly one-sided, but bear in mind, im a (looking for a word for this)pro-christian atheist… raised in a big catholic family, objective, and i know that lately, christians are the only religion in America getting persecuted by all the other views. so I'm a little defensive of them. And assuming someone threw a condom at a child, it is a sexually relevant crime and is defenitely not to be tolerated.

    • Robert Germanovich I agree, if they had actually been throwing condoms, that is repulsive, however, I cannot find any proof of this story anywhere else except fox and Christian websites. The video shows the police were there watching, and the police said they had no reports of anyone throwing anything. Instead of making all these people on this thread curious, they ignore my point and get ever more enraged.

    • Debi K Baughman /

Robert Germanovich, what susan means is that the story about the condoms is false. It is drummed up. and we are all basically having conversations about something that did not really happen because their were no condoms thrown at anybody

CATHOLIC SCHOOL OUGHT TO HIRE PRESIDENT OF SYRIA FOR THERE SECURITY OCCUPIERS WOULD LEARN SOMSTHING REAL QUICK!

  8. To bad the parents of the OWS losers didn't use condoms. Then there were would no punks to throw them!

  9. Occupy protesters enjoy the freedoms of America without the responsibilities of citizenship.

  10. This is a cynical attempt by the OWS folks to incite violence so they can claim victemhood. These folks believe that if they can get their behinds kicked they will be money ahead they are wrong and are in fact alienateing themselves from natural allies in their movement. It will be a long fight but I have become convinced that civility will win out as the OWS crowd gets more foolish and desparate to maintain relevence.

  11. Stay classy occupy…

    • That is repulsive. Honestly What do they think they are influencing or changing for the better??!! I don't understand!!!! all they've done is inconvenience people & make asses of themselves. impressive!!! Oh and bring more rats to DC, which we don't need.

  12. The original OWS is long, long gone. These freaks are just using the name as they create problems that the original OWS would have never done, throwing Bibles and now condums. They are just malcontents that want to cause a stink anyway they can to make headlines.

  13. Good for u Michael Ryan! No knives to a gun fight!

  14. What was that line again? These are just STUDENTS worried about their loans and angry at the rich 1%.
If you have money to buy condoms to throw away, you are not poor.

  15. “They started heckling, chanting and blowing whistles. They shouted down a priest.”.
OMG! NO WAY! THEY SHOUTED WHILE A PRIEST WAS TALKING? They make it sound like it's the worst thing someone in society could do! Ha! If I don't believe in your religion, do I give a f**k what slips out of my mouth in front of your priest/ rabbi/ imam /guruji/ pundit/ whatever the fuck you want to call them? You have the right to religion, doesn't mean it over powers my right to peaceful assembly. For the people that decided to go over the limit of "peaceful", you have the constitutional right to be ashamed of yourself. It brings a bad rep. on the cause you were supporting. Not cool. To the Catholic girls, welcome to the real world! S**t happens and your not always going to like it/agree with it. Just brush it off and keep believing in Catholic faith, if you actually believe it in the first place.

I may not be responsible for my actions if you threaten my children. If you threaten me I will do my best to laugh it off and turn my cheek, but do not expect me to stand still when my offspring are threatened by violence.

  18. This was a sexual assault and the cops should have opened fire on these rioters to protect the girls.
The PARENTS of the girls should exercise their 2nd amendment rights and take care of these commie scumbags.

  19. If Todd Starnes told me that the sun is shining and I would have to look as he is such a filthy liar.

  20. Would like to see some media start asking occupyers for voter ID cards.

  21. You realize this story is not true, right?

  22. I m a Vietnam Vet and a catholic also a full fledged 99%. And this behavior is not what this movement has ever been about. I had a good job in construction , the company was shut down by the bank. The company had in excess of 12million in signed contracts in addition to 3 million in work in progress. The banks shut us down , because they could. That was in September, this past week that bank itself was closed, then reopened the following Monday.under a new name.no one lost a days pay. What happened to justice in America? The Feds need to come out with some reinstated banking regulations for banks to follow.

    • Kelly Calder /

I don't think it happened. If you read the article, the police said no arrests were made and there is nothing to prove the condom incident happened. I think maybe Starnes needs to do some more research before writing articles.

In every bushel there are a few rotten apples ,weed out the rotten ones .!

  23. Debi K Baughman /

    yes.

  24. Dave Cvengros /

What kind of person throws condoms? The fact that they are Catholic has nothing to do with it.

  25. Aaron Layes /

you realize they killed people in NY, and Philadelphia, several rapes are connected with it as well, and all while others in the group stood around, and watched. gotta love the lib mentality.

  26. So the Oakland Occupy group is suing police over arrests at city hall. Yet video clearly shows no police presence while OWS group breaks in and commits vandalism and violence. How can any sane human think these are peaceful people. They sound just like the people in Egypt now violently protesting blaming the government over the soccer riot. Not good company, in my opinion.

  27. "Joseph Little, the chief of the capitol police, told Fox News & Commentary that he did not receive any reports of condoms being dropped on children. He also said to his knowledge, nothing happened to that rose to the level of needing to call in additional support."

Can you people not read? This story is a complete fabrication.

  28. "Joseph Little, the chief of the capitol police, told Fox News & Commentary that he did not receive any reports of condoms being dropped on children. He also said to his knowledge, nothing happened to that rose to the level of needing to call in additional support."

Here is a example of your so loved FOX News caught in a lie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_uftNgx40Q and here is another one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAsDBP6EwKo and another http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCQ4gAAVW2k And everyone believes what they see in the "News" You people are so vulnerable.

  30. "Joseph Little, the chief of the capitol police, told Fox News & Commentary that he did not receive any reports of condoms being dropped on children. He also said to his knowledge, nothing happened to that rose to the level of needing to call in additional support."

Leave it to Fox to print unsubstantiated accusations. Then bury the truth in the last few lines. You sheep it it up and ask for seconds.

  31. Also, there is video showing this article is a lie. So anyone who is getting all worked up about it just got fed from the propoganda machine.

  32. Heather Silvey /

Don't believe anything written by Fox news! This is more than likely a fabricated story, or it was done by provocateurs trying to smear the reputation of the Occupy movement. PROPAGANDA people. And you're all buying into it. Maybe you should do a little research into how often Fox news has been caught lying. Do a quick search on Google, "Fox news lies".

  33. This is another faux news lie, you all drink way to much koolaid

  34. You people will believe anything Fox News tells you. How funny!

  35. Show me proof where's the pictures or video? If this were true something this drastic would be on camera, fail by fox news again, and you all need to find better insults then get a job or take a shower, I'm a plumber, I bathe, I occupy

  36. Hawk Eye /

do people seriously think this is not a fake article? “I led the crowd in singing ‘God Bless America’ to try and down out their awful chants,” – are you actually kidding me?

  37. Ashley Garrison /

    Yellow journalism for the masses.

  38. Kelly Calder /

I think most of the "Occupiers" aren't even people who originally started the movement. I think now it's just full of thugs. I mean – really? Throwing condoms at school girls? Was that necessary? I don't think so. Am I pro-life? No but they have the right to rally as much as the "Occupiers."

    • Kelly Calder /

I just read the last part: Joseph Little, the chief of the capitol police, told Fox News & Commentary that he did not receive any reports of condoms being dropped on children. He also said to his knowledge, nothing happened to that rose to the level of needing to call in additional support.

Little said no one was arrested. — So did that really happen? Did anyone throw condoms at girls? I agree with a few others, where is the proof it happened? If it had escalated that much someone would have been arrested.

To hell with this… can't find a comment or a reply to one here so how do you unfollow this piece of crap blogspot?

  40. omg…first: the ows people do not identify with the democratic party, nor with any party for that matter. they do not identify themselves to be of the "liberal left wing". I could never understand how obama, who had absolutely nothing to do with the organizing of the ows ever came to be associated with the ows. if you are convinced he is the leader of the ows, I am sure you would have the direct link to connect him to this action. or are you just making an illogical assumption based on what, the fact that you just don't like him? if you have the evidence that directly links obama to the ows, please post so that we may all see this evidence that will support your claim.

second: there are plenty of people, such as myself, a registered democrat, that cannot stand despicable behavior from anyone. this action by those few extremists is a despicable act. stereotyping is illogical.

third: violence is never an answer. if I were to hit you over the head with a baseball bat, do I expect you to lie down and take it? do I expect your family not to do anything about it? the answer to those questions is obviously, no. so don't threaten to do something really stupid because the ones you are threatening with physical violent physical will only react in kind. we have had enough of that nonsense already. don't let stupidity reign your thought processes.

fourth: bob noble; your comment about liberals wanting to wipe jews and christians off the face of the planet is pure idiocy. every person that I know, who is liberal, is working hard to end violence against all people. many of these liberals that you talk about are devout christians who work hard to stop violence against others. many of them are also atheist, agnostic, muslim, jewish (imagine that, mulsims and jewish working together, what this world come to? maybe peace? finally?) budhist, hindu, etc., and we all have the same goal: stop the violence. violence is violence regardless who is committing the act. timothy mcveigh was a terrorist. the una bomber was a terrorist. and just a bit history for you: it's the liberals that fight for the rights of everyone to assemble in public places, which means liberals actually support the right of christian organizations to form clubs on every single public campus in the united states. to not permit the christian organizations to form their own clubs would be an act of discrimination. here is some good reading for you to choke on. I am sure you will red with anger at this bit of truth:

    http://www.christiananswers.net/q-wall/wal-g010.html

On August 10, 1995, Secretary of Education Richard W. Riley, working under the direction of President Clinton, issued a "statement of principles" titled "Religious Expression in Public Schools." At a time in our nation's history when religion, and Christianity specifically, experiences the wrath of scholarship and academia, Secretary Riley's effort attempts to inform and guide school superintendents across the country.

when you finish reading this article, if you dare to do so, I hope you will inform your associates how religious activities in public schools are constitutionally protected.

oh, if you want to FORCE prayer on students during actual class time, then you are nothing but a control freak.

  41. manufactured pat, have you ever studied the constitution? your statement makes no sense. I have studied constitutional law and I carry a pocket sized copy of the bill of rights in my wallet so that I am never without it. your statement seems to be confusing capitalism with the constitution, or capitalism with democracy? just what is it are you actually trying to say?

  42. I somehow stumbled into a hate echo chamber! Good Lord, get a grip people! The Occupiers (I'm talking about those at the rally in question): almost all work, are all ages, from teen to retired, don't smell, love America, many are not Democrats, and none of them threw condoms. The anti-rally protest was in conjunction with at least two other groups, was not an Occupy "action" (i.e. was not an action that was approved by the group). No person from Occupy Providence brought or threw condoms. No person from Occupy providence did any "mic checking" or interrupted the program until it was over. The eyewitness accounts by journalists who were there and video from the event all contradict the "story" being told here. The Occupy Providence group is the most peaceful Occupy group in America, and has the distinction of being the only Occupy group in America to actually effect change, as they have successfully negotiated with the city to open a day center for the homeless in Providence. (The city passed the buck to the church) Occupy Providence has also been occupying a hospice care facility and is holding a fundraising event to prevent the building being foreclosed.

I know most of this from personal experience, having spent several nights in the Occupy Providence encampment in a tent. I remain very impressed with the level of intelligence, compassion, eloquence, civic-mindedness, and involvement they have shown.

Many here would do well to emulate these dedicated and hard-working people. They have gone to some lengths checking with each other and the police and journalists present at the rally attempting to authenticate this "story", and have been unable to do so.

  43. Alexander Kreynin /

The Occupiers are nothing but a bunch of thugs. Nothing more.

  44. Chris Moses /

Another Black Eye for Occupiers….and the Whitey House who SUPPORTS.

  45. I don't get it these people say "No" to violence then they behave in a violent manner. The liberal media says that conservatives are mean spirited and hateful, then you have a jerk radio host that tells pro-Romney listeners to buy arsenic and drink it. So, am I nuts or is it the far left who are not tolerant? Gay Radio Host Tells Pro-Romney Caller to Buy Arsenic And Drink It [LISTEN] http://bit.ly/U1IfzS go to this site and listen to this jerk. Gay or not evil is as evil does.

  46. They will keep pushing untill someone looses patience and kills one of them. That may start a trend, it's a good way to be rid of a whole bunch of worthless scum. A civil society does not act as they do, they are animals of the lowest order and have no qualities that will contribute to a peacfull existance. People who have morals do not behave like they do, I will bet their mommys are very proud of them.

  47. The police do not need to arrest them. They should require identification. If false ID is provided, then arrest. Post all names of protesters for their parents to be proud of the job they did, and cut off financing now that they are famous.

  48. Vic Moss: The Brown Shirts of the Nazi Party had a beginning also. I am certain they didn't seem all that bad in the beginning.

  49. Shouldn't todays Hate Laws apply to this kind of thing? Or do they only protect todays politically favored groups?

  50. Ranger Bagel /

Condoms and other birth control lower the incident of pregnancy, which in lowers the abortion rate. So, I don't really see how screaming and tossing out items that cut down on abortions is really so horrible. You don't have a right to protest without the threat of counter-protest. That's how freedom to assemble and speak works. No special treatment. Pro-life protesters are often extremely hostile and sometimes violent. So, really, don't be hypocrites.
