President Obama once accused the Christian right of intolerance and narrow-mindedness and alleged the Christian right had “hijacked the moral high ground,” according to a story published in 1995 and recently revisted.
The article, written by Hank De Zutter, appeared in a 1995 edition of Chicago Reader. At the time, the future president was running for the Illinois senate.
“What Makes Obama Run,” was the headline, noting that Obama was “entering politics to get back to his true passion — community organization.”
Obama’s comments about Christians came during a rhetorical question he raised over what would happen if a politican “were to see his job as that of an organizer.”
“What if a politician were to see his job as that of an organizer,” he wondered to the Chicago Reader, “as part teacher and part advocate, one who does not sell voters short but who educates them about the real choices before them? As an elected public official, for instance, I could bring church and community leaders together easier than I could as a community organizer or lawyer. We would come together to form concrete economic development strategies, take advantage of existing laws and structures, and create bridges and bonds within all sectors of the community. We must form grass-root structures that would hold me and other elected officials more accountable for their actions.”
Then, the future president unloaded on Christians.

“The right wing, the Christian right, has done a good job of building these organizations of accountability, much better than the left or progressive forces have,” he told the Chicago Reader. “But it’s always easier to organize around intolerance, narrow-mindedness, and false nostalgia. And they also have hijacked the higher moral ground with this language of family values and moral responsibility.”
During his 2008 presidential run, Obama came under fire for blasting Americans who cling to their guns and religion. He labeled them “bitter Americans.”
Fox News & Commentary host Todd Starnes wrote a new book about that subject called, “Dispatches From Bitter America.” The book explores why Obama believes people who worship God are somehow bitter. Click here to get his book.

In his own words, Barack Obama reveals his true thoughts about Christians.
First he was a Christian extremist with a radical pastor, and now he's a Muslim. Non sequitur hour is it?
Mac Mather, Obama did not just hand Egypt to the Muslim brotherhood. The Arab spring, albeit an oxymoron for us, happened DESPITE Obama and America's foreign policy which supported the regime of Mubarak with weapons and money. Just out of interest sake, what would you have done that Obama didn't?
Tim Gale whoa budy. . .reign up with that al Jazera crap you're trying to unload. . . .only a bloody moron, or muslim. . .would ever mistake that islamic jihadist terrorist who calls himself President , with Christianity. don't get me wrong . . .christians are deadly dangerous assholes too. just the muslims cant take the ass-whoopins from thwe crusades and behave themselves. we was minding our own business, happy as clams in the mud and 21 of your "innocent muslims" attacked our country in such a cowardly as that every damed one of you should wanna crawl in a hole and die.. I kept my silence for 30 years, but did you ever wonder why the repressed homosexual jihadists are so willing to die? Religious repression. the second your boys get away from your german gestapo style culture, it's straight to the sports bar for a bacon cheeseburger, pack of smokes, jug of liquor, and stopping by the dopeman's on their way to the whorehouse.. don't expect us to be as stupid as a god damned Democrat.

Tim Gale Nobody called him a Christian extremist, just an extremist with a radical pastor!
No he said the Christian RIGHT. He's talking about the Christian extremists. Not Christians.
Kelly Calder Every Christian is right of him!
Tim Gale He, obozo, is nothing but a muslim. Straight from his mouth, not a quote from others.
Tim Gale – Take a logic course & actually want to read and understand what is said, not what your mind just limits itself in & just parrots talking points & shallow distortions.
RADICAL pastor, RADICAL ideas.
You seem to take an idiotic comment and never come back to answer, never mind answer intelligently, the replies to your drivel.
Harry Ricker, Your ability to write in clear and concise English is terrible. I've answered thousands of responses to my own comments on these pages. What on earth are you talking about?
He's right. They are mostly narrow minded and intolerant. The Christian Right is the same group that backed a Senate Republican effort in 1999, led by Sen Bob Barr, to outlaw the practice of Wicca. Where's the tolerance there folks? Where's the tolerance for anyone who wants to marry the person they love? Where's the tolerance for atheists and allowing other religions to make themselves known? Take a bible out of public school, the claim is persecution. Put a Koran or a Wiccan spell book in public school (or heck, even Harry Potter) they're the first to protest. Equal access for all, or keep it all out of the public and governmental arena.
Hey Joe, speaking of tolerance: Why are atheists trying to bring down every cross, every mural that says Heavenly Father, or Nativities, or Xmas trees, why can't we say Merry Christmas, why is Tim Tebow made fun of constantly by the likes of maher, is the football field off grounds for Christians too. Talk about tolerance….. Go try being a practicing Christian in Iran, Egypt, Iraq and see how tolerant they are. Everyone is allowed to practice their religion, but please, allow Christians in America to defend their culture and their roots. We are a Christian nation.
Hey Joe, go back to where you came from. This country was founded by Godly men. God should be in our class rooms. The down fall of this nation started in the 60s with the free love movement. You left wingers have chipped away at the moral fabric of this country and now you and your kind have elected a person who is anti American. You should be so Proud. I hope the so called Christian Right bans togeather in Prayer and asks God to spare this country from the destruction you and your left wingers have brought upon America. May God forgive us as a Nation for the immoral country we have become!!
Carmen, we are a nation of many religions, atheists, agnostics, and humanists. We all have a right to be here without having to have solely Christian symbols in public schools or government buildings. If the cross was up there with a Star of David and a Buddhist lotus flower, no problem. If those other symbols aren't allowed, that's an issue. I admire Tebow for being so staunch in his faith and for how he acts in public, and I disagree with those who pick on him. As much as you say try being a Christian in Iran, try being a Wiccan in America. The bigotry we face is ridiculous, and even at the hands of Christians. Rodney, I come from America, so I don't have far to go now, do I?
Joe Gonzalez–Why would you teach Wicca in schools? Do you want kids playing bewitched? The Koran,do you know what the Koran teaches to do to anyone who disagrees with you? Do you realize the unrest and the wars that are raging around the world are the results of those who practice the Koran? When our supreme court in all it's infinite wisdom allows sharia law into our justice system then you will know the meaning of intolerance.People who worship Obama are blind sheep, you're like mushrooms, you grow in the dark.Educate yourself, studies show that crime has increased by 550% since 1962,the year prayer was taking out of schools.
Joe Gonzalez , TRY that tolerant thing out on Muslims. They kill gays let alone let them marry, if their daughters want to marry out of their faith they can be killed, under Sharia law if she is raped she can be forced to marry him because of honor.
The fact is Muslims, atheists, agnostics and which craft is they are against Christians they want to take our Bibles, crush our traditions, beliefs and celebration of God as our personal savior. Sure Christians are against those who attack our faith. Obama is clearly anti-Judaic-Christians and favors Muslims. And even though Obama said" we are no longer a Christian nation." He is wrong because each Christian has a personal individual relationship and the Constitution protects that right. Pesky thing isn't it. Saying the sky is polka dot does not make it so.
Rodney G McCollam Sr. I was a child hn our teacher did her best to explain why we could no longer say morning prayer every day and recite the Golden Rule. Or talk about God when that had been somthing every American school child did since entring public school. it was first a morning prayer thn reciet th Golden Rule an then the Pledge then we all sang some song likee God Bless America, My country tis of thee the and followed by any school annocemnts by th school prinipal or secretary and lastly class annoucments for the day or week , now we kids cried uncontrollable for weeks as we beleived our God died. Can you imagine how those teahers and parents tried so hard to calm us down, it was horrible. and still is. nodays hildrn have no moral ground and have no foundation. trouble in my shool days as sttled ith boys littl fists and then it as over an they beame friends later. no days it guns knifs you nam it bully . we were taught to lov ah other. what a differnce. did othrs have same exxxpriene when God died for us little kids?
way to go tell him the way it is when u can't even say merry christmas ???? well i'll say it and be proud to – I LOVE MY LORD, JESUS CHRIST. life's choices are up to u, we are being channeled to stop showing our faith, and they have taken it out of the schools. And look at the shape the country is in.
Please defint "Christian Right" so I'll know if I qualify.
Joe Gonzalez Your an idiot
Bonnie Paulk You realize of course that your reply and other similar replies here are only reinforcing Obama's comments. Resorting to inane name-calling only shows your ignorance. Why not engage and tell us where Obama is wrong if that is what you believe?
Terry Nugent Hi Terry. To follow your lead, why would you want to teach Christianity in schools? Do you want the kids to go around crucifying each other? Not so sure of your statement " that crime has increased by 550% since 1962,the year prayer was taking out of schools." A very quick search on the net brings up contrary claims such as: "In 2009 America's crime rate was roughly the same as in 1968" , "America's serious crime rate is plunging" among many more. What's your source? (say hi to Ted for me too:)
Joe, how did that legislation work out? Failed, right? The system worked. Those "Christians" were a minority, not the majority. One more question: Where does it say in the Constitution that we have to tolerate anything and everything? "Tolerance" is a code word for leftist-think. I am a very patient, understanding person but I won't tolerate pedophilia, murder, rape, robbery, assault, etc. The left will have us "tolerating" all sorts of perverse behavior until there is no more civil society. Then they get to take over by force.
Don MacMurray "I won't tolerate pedophilia, murder, rape, robbery, assault, etc." No one is asking you to. These are crimes and as such punishable by the law. They are not the domain of religions (although the Catholics seem to have a penchant for pedophilia).
Terry Nugent Where did I say I was an Obama supporter? I agreed with this one comment. I am far from a supporter. Fact is, I don't want to teach Wicca in schools, nor do I want to teach Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, or any other religion. That is for church, home and private schools. I am a firm believer that all religions in this country need to be treated equally under the law. Last I checked, the Supreme Court seemed to agree. For those so afraid that Sharia Law will sneak its way into the American legal system, you have zero faith in our country. It will never happen, it is a fear tactic. And your statistic about crime going up after prayer was taken out of school is false. I believe someone else pointed that out. I am not anti-Christian. I belong to a Unitarian Universalist church, and firmly stand by the UU tenets that all people's path to spiritual truth is to be respected. I happen to agree with Obama's statement about the Christian right – in my opinion, a fringe subset of the overall Christian religion that in no way reflects on the religion as a whole. Though some comments on here make me wonder about that.

Bonnie Paulk Thanks for the intelligent response. It has added so much to this conversation.
Bonnie Paulk Thanks for the intelligent response. It has added so much to this conversation.
Rae Michael Gladly. As I explain in my comment above, I consider the Christian right to be a fringe group of extreme right wing evangelical Christians that all of the GOP candidates are inexplicably falling all over themselves trying to court. They are a group bent on getting the Christian religion codefied in US law at the expense of all others – basically a theocracy. I do not believe this fringe group is in any way reflective of the Christian religion as a whole, any more than I believe that Muslim extremists are reflective of all of Islam. If you did not support the legislation to outlaw Wicca, then you are likely not a part of this group.
Don MacMurray Never did I dispute the fact that it failed or that the Christian right are a minority – you are correct on both counts. I pointed to their support of that legislation as proof of their intolerance and narrowmindedness. Much like you I will not tolerate things that are serious crimes. Being Wiccan is not a crime. Neither is being an atheist or a Christian. Those things are to be constitutionally tolerated under the first amendment. You don't have to agree with other religions, just respect others' rights to practice them freely.

Steve Smith Are you aware of NAMBLA and their push for legitimacy? Are you aware of the light sentencing by the liberal courts over the past 40 plus years? How much longer until we "tolerate" these things by law? All of our laws are based on Judeo-Christian morals so I'm not sure what you mean when you say those laws are not the domain of religion. BTW, that was a cheap shot about Catholics. There's no evidence that Catholics participate in pedophilia any more than any other religion. If you're talking about the priesthood, it's still a minority of priests. To tar the whole of Catholicism like that is like saying all muslims are terrorists or all black people like watermelon.

Vicki Cubeiro Bringing up the Muslim thing as a response is a deflection. The fact that anyone supported the outlawing of a religion in this country is dangerous. It is equally dangerous that one cannot get the GOP presidential nomination without publicly declaring their Christianity. Ironic considering that if Jesus came back tomorrow the GOP would brand him a socialist hippie liberal. I'll know this country is making progress when a non-Christian gets the GOP nod. Mormons don't count. Still falls under the Christian umbrella.

Don MacMurray I'm with you on the Catholic thing as well. I used to be Catholic and never experienced anything of that sort. I was an altar boy for years. I will disagree that our laws are based solely on Judeo-Christian morals. The morals of our laws span many religions, including religions that predate Christianity. Our government is based on models such as the Magna Carta. We are a Republic, not a Democracy, so that minorities are protected as well. And only 3 of the 10 Commandments are represented anywhere in our legal code.
Don MacMurray NAMBLA will never gain any legitimacy as its basically a defunct organization and has been since about 2006. Three strikes and you're out is a liberal court in action? You're right: it was a cheap shot at the Catholics. I apologize.
Rodney G McCollam Sr. Well said
Joe Gonzalez As far as I can tell you are alive and well, your home or church are standing, and I don't hear a Christian attacking you physically in the name of Christianity, and if there are, they are in the minority, kind of like the so called Christians praying for the death of our troops. How can you possibly compare being a Wiccan in America to being a Christian in Iran, or Iraq? there's no comparison to how they are persecuted, and killed, by the hundreds. The point is; Christians in America are being made a target of jokes, are being forced to stop carrying a bible, can't hold hands in prayer at schools, they are not forcing anyone to join hands with them, it was not like this 50 years ago, because Americans could enjoy being Americans in their own Country, that is no longer the case.
Joe Gonzalez You can't be that stupid. Your rights to be here without having to have solely Christian symbols in public schools or government buildings. Want them put them up. Where have you seen a cross in a school/gov building? I know many different religions and they don't have your stated problems. You want to do something, fine. Just don't try to take down what someone else wants to do. Don't try to change someone else's mind on what they think or believe. Leave others alone and do your own thing. God bless you and yours, and show some intolerance to others, that's all we ask.
Carmen Velasco about 200 years or more past. . .the Pilgrims came to America seeking FREEDOM FROM RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION. THEY made a real good fuss about it, went thru all sorts of "riligious fervor" like the salem witch hunts,. . .totally unnecesary murdering of their own people for hidden agendas such as hiding an affair with a married woman or some such nonsense. A LOT of PEOPLE liked that "FREEDOM thing" and decides to not bow and grovel at the pressure from the "CHURCH" to conform to their narrow-minded vicious l;ittle views of "community control". . .they became NON_BELIEVERS and did their independent best to throw off the shackles and constraints of the corrupt clergy who were so desperately working to enslave their congregations. suddenly the non-believers find themselves under attack by the very same "practioners of love and forgiveness" who are once again out to dominate us, take away our freedoms, and browbeat our intelligence into the narrowly defined parameters of "RELIGION" as far as a free man (Atheist, heathen, infidel, or what ever other filth you wish to call us) the worst danger to ANY society is a power-hungry, stupid, lying controlling idiot. . .yes, you may use OBAMA as an example. . . .the second worst thing is the militant crazy "enforcer". whether that enforcer be some rag-headeed mullet, or some 25,000 dollar silk suit wearing preacher hiding his homosexuality behind a bible while playing the jesus con to millions.
why atheists want to destroy the symbols of their religious oppressors for the last 200 years??? geeze. . .lte me take a wild guess. . . .it's y'all's war you started. . .try finishing off the muslims first. . .you been fightin them for over 2000 years. we just wanna be left the hell ALONE!!
Carmen Velasco Yes I am alive and well. I have also been the subject of personal ridicule and death threats because of my religion. Many of those threats came from Christians. I have been verbally assaulted a number of times. Several people in my UU church left when the church started allowing us to do ritual services twice a year. Quite frankly, hundreds of thousands of pagans died at the hands of Christians throughout history. But basically what you are telling me is, hey sorry you are being discriminated against as a minority religion, but people are taking crosses out of public schools, and hey at least nobody is trying to kill you! Somehow I'm not comforted. Just because it isn't like Iran doesn't mean it is difficult. Have you ever had to witness a legislative battle trying to make it illegal to practice your religion in THIS country? America? No, you haven't. I have. Not even the atheists can say that.
Rodney G McCollam Sr. YOU CAN RELY ON YOUR UNANSWERED PRAYERS FROM YOUR INVISIBLE GOD. THIS ATHEIST WHO HAS BEEN PERSECUTED BY NARROW MINDED WEAK WILLED CHUMPS HIS ENTIRE LIFE, WILL DEPEND ON SCIENCE. . . THE SCIENCE OF BALLISTICS, THE SCIENCE OF MILITARY HISTORY AND SMALL UNIT TACTIC, THE SCIENCE OF ANTI-TERRORIST SMALL SQUAD TACTICS.. . .WILLING TO DIE TO PRESERVE YOUR FREEDOMS, REMEMBER THAT THE NEXT TIME YOU'RE BANGING ON MY DOOR TELLIN ME WHAT A SINNER I AM FOR WORKING A 75 HOUR WEEK AND SLEEPING IN ON SUNDAYS.
Steve Smith You called Bonnie ignorant for her comment, and yet, you have no problem being insulting to the Catholic religion and basically calling all pedophiles. That's being a hypocrite in my book. Kids in Christian schools do not go around crucifying each other because they pray, on the contrary, there is less crime, they get better grades and pursuit a college education in higher numbers than in public schools where no one is even allowed to carry a bible and pray in their own time. Having attended both, public and Catholic schools, I can tell you the difference in behavior, honesty, and tolerance is more obvious in Catholic schools.
Joe Gonzalez You have a lost sole. You can be what you want and no one cares. Just quit trying to get everyone else to believe what you think is better than what they think.
Don MacMurray Good comment on Catholics. Did you know that many of the atrocities said to be done by Catholic Priests were really done by leftist communist infiltrators of the Catholic religion. The Book AA1025 is a published diary of just such a one. He died in a car accident with no relatives. The nurse opening his briefcase found his diary. He was the top student in the seminary. The number 1025 refers to how many comminist infiltrators had gotten into the priesthood. He was the 1025 one. The goal was to discredit from within.
Yes the Christian right is intolerant of his lies, ignorance, stupid policies and allegiance to the protection of Islam!
Tell me one right afforded Muslims but denied Christians in America? You comment is nonsensical.
Tim Gale The right not to be insulted seems to be on of the worldwide rights that the cowards of the left have granted to muslims.
Tim Gale The right to escape scrutiny in almost all situations, both of their person and of their beliefs and priorities. The mere mention of Muslim intolerance toward Christians, Jews and other religions, an intolerance which is well documented, brings on the verbal attack of "racism and prejudice". The instructions to the TSA originally gave muslims in muslim garb a "pass" in scrutiny for the supposed safety of airline passengers. I can't say they still have that protection from scrutiny, but I imagine they do. Is that sufficient?
Don MacMurray, No one has a right not to be insulted. I attack the beliefs of Muslims wherever and whenever I can, but I also defend anyone's right to believe whatever gobbledegook they wish. However, in America, it is not the Muslims who want Government to sponsor their supernatural beliefs,; it's the christian majority.
Rae Michael, Muslim intolerance of Christians overseas is a fact and categorically wrong. But, in America Muslims are granted no special privileges over Christians and vice-versa. This is the way it should be. America is righteous, Saudi Arabia is not. Moreover, it appears that the claim that Muslims are, or were, exempt from screening is a myth: http://www.examiner.com/conservative-in-atlanta/are-muslim-women-exempt-from-screening-other-tsa-myths
Tim Gale The majority of Christians honor the Constitution. They are just sick and tired of the secularist left and atheist minority dictating terms. I don't see a great swell of Christians rioting in the streets or pushing "Christian legislation" all over the country. There may be isolated incidents of local legislation but it is a small minority of people. I agree that we don't have a right not to be insulted but Muslims have granted themselves the right not to be insulted by rioting and intimidation. Blacks have also granted themselves that privelge. An honest discussion of race is not possible in this country because, as soon as someone makes an accurate observation about a minority community and the cause of its problems, they are labeled "racist". As to muslims not being granted special privileges, give it time. They are pushing for Sharia law wherever they go. I recently read an article about a judge who thinks it's not a bad idea to let the courts consider foreign law and sharia law when deciding cases. That is so dangerous, it's beyond common sense and unconstitutional.
Oh, one more note about TSA screening. Profiling works. It should be implemented with real profiling experts instead of "Take off your shoes, Grandma." When muslim extremists tell you they want to kill you and destroy your country and you don't profile for fear of offending people, you will get burned again. (Fort Hood comes immediately to mind.)
Don MacMurray, The Constitution guarantees a separation of church and state, something that "some" Christians constantly try and infringe upon.
Moreover, where in America are these Muslims rioting in the streets that you mentioned? If a Muslim threatens someone with death, they will pay the consequences, just as a Christian who threatens the same thing against an abortion doctor will. A person threatening someone is not a special right that has been afforded one group over another, but instead a crime. You may claim that blacks are getting "all uppity" by voicing their opinions, but that does not contradict my claim that no group in America has special privileges that are not afforded another.
Finally, Muslims can have Sharia law over my dead body.
Tim Gale The Constitution does not even MENTION the separation of church and state. You are thinking of a letter that Jefferson wrote to the Danbury Baptist Church where he coined the phrase. That was used by the Supreme Court, specifically Hugo Black, who hated the Catholic Church BTW, to create the myth that all things religious should be banned from government-owned venues. Here is the full text of the 1st Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." No seperation there. The key word is "establishment". Putting a manger in the public square is not the Congress establishing a religion. It's just a local community honoring their faith. If they want to put up a menorah or a Kwanzaa bush (sic) or a muslim goat idol, that's okay, too. The interpretation of that clause, along with the commerce clause has been abysmal. One final note…I am an agnostic, if anything. I don't have a vested interest in "prayer in school". I just love the Constitution.

Don MacMurray, The phase "separation of church and state" is used to paraphrase the First Amendment as interpreted by the Supreme Court. In America there IS a separation of church and state. All the Supreme Court judges, both liberal and conservative, agree with me, and not you, on this issue. Government employees are forbidden to lead or coerce others to pray, nor can they demand that public institutions sponsor their supernatural events through the display of mangers and banners etc. I too love The Constitution
Tim Gale Yes, I do realize that they have misinterpreted the Constitution for political purposes since the early 19th century. The language is plain and simple. How they got "separation of church and state" from those words required a lot of pretzel logic. Did you ever read "Men in Black" by Mark Levin? Give it a try. He's quite a brilliant constitutional lawyer and does a good job writing about the Supreme Court.
Tim Gale -The constitution does guarantee separation of church and state, that phrase does not appear in any of the documents this country was founded on. The constitution says the goverment will not establish a religion or infringe on the free practice thereof. The judicial system is now considering allowing sharia law into our court rooms, sharia law is based on the Koran{an religion} in that case the goverment would be establishing a religion, that would also void the mythical separation of church and state.
Tim Gale According to a FEDERAL COURT last week, a North Carolina town meeting may not be opened by prayer by a Christian, but prayers by Wiccans,Muslims, and others are still allowed. The ruling specifically stated no mention of Jesus, God, Savior and a few other names that Christians use.
Matt Jennings, You are wrong: "The decision means prayers are still allowed, but the county must police the words to make sure one faith group is not represented over another faith group." I'm disappointed to read comments here which are either lies or ignorance. Which is it?
Tim Gale your comments? I suspect they are both lies and ignorance. The judgement was that certain words (words that are hallmarks of Christian prayer) are not allowed. That effectively discriminates against Christians because they cannot pray in the name of Jesus while a muslim is not limited in what he prays and a wiccan is not limited in what she prays.
Terry Nugent, Your very first sentence makes two contradicting claims. Are you agreeing or disagreeing with me?
Matt Jennings: and Muslims can't use prayers that specify their god either.

Tim Gale -You are correct, i misspelled, i meant to say the constitution "does not guarantee" You say the supreme court agrees with you, perhaps, but the majority of Americans disagree with the supreme court. As for the argument of Christianity we teach children that the universe was created by the big bang theory, though it can't be proven. We teach homosexuality is acceptable,we teach that humans somehow evolved from monkeys but fail to explain why monkeys no longer evolve. If you believe in tolerance and education, then why not teach creationism also? If you believe in equal treatment then why not moral teachings on the same level play ground as the immorality that is being taught? P.S. when the supreme court meets, before the justices enter the chamber the marshal say's "May God bless this honorable court and the United States" Ironic for a court that struggles to remove decency and moral standards that our country was built on.I cease to be amazed at the double standard of liberals who scream "equality" yet attack anyone who disagrees with them.
Tim Gale point out which words the judge outlawed by muslims. That article only states words Christians cannot use.
Read the actual decision Tim, the judge said that muslims can reference their deity as they were not doing as many of the prayers as the Christians. He found that the Christians ending their prayers "in Jesus' name" (which our scriptures tell us to do) was what made the prayers illegal. Isolated references were allowed. But since the majority of those who accepted the offer to pray were Christian, then it amounted to state sponsored because of the number who actually did what their religion told them to do. The ruling actually sets up a double standard. The Christian cannot mention Christ, but the muslim can reference Allah and Sharia Law.
Tim Gale Prayer in School
Terry Nugent, Creationism, unlike evolution, has no working mechanism or applications as evolution does, that of natural selection. Creationism is not a science but a stance against naturalism. If creationism was to be taught in science classrooms, it would consist of: "And as you see children, God did it"
Moving on, the big bang theory states nothing more that the universe expanded from a singularity. It is still visible in the night sky today making it clearly demonstrable. It can also be scientifically recognized in a variety of other ways such as by the cosmic microwave background radiation which appeared as a percentage of static on TVs back in the day.
Moving, moving on, in accordance with The Constitution, god can be mentioned, but a specific god cannot take precedence over another. The mention of a generic god is fine. I would rather see no god mentioned at all, but I'm willing to adhere to the law of the land.
Matt Jennings, Please reference your claims. I did an internet search and never read the things that you claim. The article specifically says that a reference to a general god is acceptable.
Tim Galehttp://www.iml.org/files/pages/6616/10-1232.pdf
I would say since you cannot even actually find the actual court case and only know the reporters takes on it that you fall more in the ignorance end.
Matt Jennings, Where on earth does it say that Christianity based prayer is banned, but other religions are free to proceed? Give me the page number! The problem was that the prayers that were being said were repeatedly referencing the tenets of Christianity, and other religions were being poorly represented. The article I put to you in fact paraphrased the judgement with all the details in tact. Other religions have NOT been given a predominance free-for-all as you claim at all. If you take it upon yourself to propagate a lie, that Christian prayers have been banned in favor for Muslim ones, you could get someone of a different religious persuasion killed on the streets by an angry mob.
Tim Gale page 16
"The case law thus sets out clear boundaries….Infrequent references to specific deities, standing alone, do not suffice to make out a constitutional case….Nor was the December 17 prayer the exception, rather than the rule, as our friend in dissent suggests." So, basically the majority said that if the minority of speakers chose to speak of their God, that was OK. But since the majority of speakers were Christian, they were not allowed to speak of their God. That is a double standard, Tim Gale!
Finally note the summation of the dissent starting on page 48: "Finally, I note that the majority’s logic in prohibiting only an invocation of Jesus during prayers in Forsyth County, but otherwise allowing other prayer content, escapes me….Yet we now legislate, based on the imprecise notion of nonsectarianism, bowing to political correctness or universal inoffensiveness and censuring only what offended Joyner and Blackmon on December 17, 2007, without regard to the dan- gers of governmental censorship of religious expression….The ruling today intermeddles most subjectively without a religiously sensitive or constitutionally compelled standard. This surely cannot be a law for mutual accommodation, and it surely is not required by the Establishment Clause." So basically one of the judges agrees that the ruling was ONLY holding on Christians. Again, are you a liar or ignorant?
Matt Jennings, Read it twice. It says the complete opposite.
The original policy- and the amended policy- of the county board was to open the meeting invocation up to invitations to religious groups. If other religions were under represented, it was because THEIR leaders did not take advantage of the invitation to come pray. The court decision outlawed Christian prayer at the board meeting while NOT outlawing other prayer! How is that so hard for you to understand? Or are you incapable of reading an entire ruling on your own without having a reporter give you their spin on it?
Matt Jennings, writes: "The court decision outlawed Christian prayer at the board meeting while NOT outlawing other prayer!" However, the court, in fact, ordered that all prayer must be non-sectarian. It says so right there in black and white. You are wrong, but I defend your right to live in la la land.
Tim Gale It is you who is wrong. The court stated that the occasional reference of a diety is legal, so long as the referencer is not a Christian. Some are more equal than others.
To argue that the decision of the court requires ONLY non-sectarian prayer without any mention of a deity requires ignorance or an amazing amount of lying! Read pages 16 and 17. Then the dissent. Both make it very clear that the majority opinion ONLY applied to Christian prayer.
Tim Gale Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. In laymen's terms, the government is to be limited in regard to religion. It is not meant to limit religious influence. Our country was founded on religious principals.

Lynda Wyndham Bussing Puff, cool, so you're happy for a Muslim teacher to attempt to convert your child to Islam then? Moreover, tell me the religious principals America was founded on?
Tim Gale I can tell you one. Muslims are allowed to openly pray in the streets of New York City, thereby stopping traffic from getting through until the prayer is over. The Christians can't even put up a nativity scene on public property at Christmastime. Muslims can go to a Christian university and demand that crosses be taken down. Imagine if you or I entered a muslim university and demanded they remove their icons….do you think they would aquiesce? NOT!
Tim Gale Schools honoring Ramadan but refusing to acknowledge Easter for one!
Ma Slo, Can you show me the law that you are referring to that states Muslims are allowed to block the streets in New York. All you have referred to is a bunch of Muslims breaking the law. Moreover, Muslims cannot go to a PRIVATE university and demand that the crosses be taken down. They, and other non-Christian groups, can go to a PUBLIC university, which takes Government money, and demand that the separation of church and state be upheld. Tell me where I'm wrong and you are right!
Tim Walker, What public schools honor Ramadan and refuse to acknowledge Easter? That is against the law!! Reference your comment.
Ma Slo, It seems that you are in fact talking a pile of garbage. You need to check your facts before making an unfounded assertion that puts a minority group into the cross-hairs. Such lies and/or misinformation can get people killed: The mass praying in the street was done by Muslims, but it was done on the day of their annual parade. And they had a permit. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2578148/posts
The more I read on Obama, the more clear it becomes that not only is he a socialist, he's anti God, and he's a racist. If Obama wants to talk about intolerance he should look into the muslim brotherhood, the Koran, Tavis Smiley, Jessie Jackson, and Al Sharpton.
Is Obama just anti-christian or an aetheist? If the latter he should be in opposition of the Muslim brother hood as well.
What is it exactly that the Muslim brotherhood and others you mentioned refuse to tolerate? I don't like any of those on your list either, but a refusal to tolerate another ends in a prison sentence in America. The aforementioned don't have a lot of respect for much, but they do tolerate, and if not, they pay the consequences.
Tim Gale the Muslim brother hood? don't like you don't know. . .nobody can be that stupid unless it is on purpose.. . . .like obama. Lte's start with their severe intolerance with personal freedoms, how a person dresses, how they don't shave their face, how they abuse their women as property and NOT provide, protect and love as in a free society.. How about the fanatical devotion to whatever ass-hole gives them a few copper piece3s to go blow themselves to hell and take an infidel american target packed with innocents with his suicidal ass? THE MUSLIMS, in practice, show themselves to be Patriarchial Dictators who value any human life but their own as less than minimal. . .forever seeking to dominate and destroy, with a major flair for the "do what I say, NOT what I do". . .but face it. . .for 10,000 years, criminals have sought refuge in the wastelands to avoid the LAW. that's 10,000 years or rape, murder, lying, stealing,. . . .10,000 years of every action that would have gotten a decent person executed. . .raised twisted, and perverted into a semi"culture" that We have need to deal with now. . . .My best suggestion would be "kill them all and let ALLAH sort out the trash."
The bondsman will met up with the devil on day and will take him down. Just Pray to GOD it IS before He dis troys AMERICA
Will Hefler, It's clear you didn't understand, or read, my comment.
Tim Gale You must live under a rock somewhere, as long as AG holder is working for obozo, none of these muslim's will ever pay the consequences.
Reva Perkins – Shallow, Reva. 1) If he claims to be a Christian, but has a false profession, then he's anti-God/God of the Bible. 2) IF he is actually PRO-Muslim Brotherhood, WHY is he? Also, do you know the MB is NOT a true moderate Muslim group, or are you deceived by the peddlers of misinformation? SINCE they are RADICAL Muslim, they ARE quite solidly ANTI-GOD.
Think deeper, and do fair and honest study in places the Left t want you to go to.

Will this make a difference in the votes of black christains? Or will race trump religion?
There are conservative black Americans, one who is truly a Christian will not put race before their faith
Phony, Imposter, Puppet… Uselsss
3 years or promoting the robbery, rape, and murder of the American People ("Obama's continual calls for class WARFARE"), 3 years of supplying Mexican Drug Cartel soldiers with the latest and best Hi-Tech military weaponry (Operation fast and furious), add to this another year of passport quotas (Increased 400-2000% in the disguise of increaseing tourism to create the Super Hiway to America's Heartland for insurgents, terrorists, illegals and War materiel…add to this 3 years of irresponsible declarations of WAR, Anti-Semitic Denouncements, and creating an air of hostility amongst our best allies (Israel)…the second Obama looks to lose His Power, look for the DNC holocaust…Riots, robberies, murders, by the Food Stamp Militia, enforced with the terrorists, drug cartel insurgents, and illegals. Congress will be traditionally ignored, the Democrat Controlled Senate grants Emergency Presidential Powers, Martial law declared, constitutional law suspended indefinitely, U.N."Peacekeeper" occupational forces invited to "quell the unrest" with the usual Chinese efficiency of Mass Murders, FEMA forced to construct city sized Internment/Re-Education/Death camps in every state….America destroyed, from the inside by this islamic Jihadist who pretends to be President.
I couldn't have said it better
2005 associated Press Kenya, front page report "Kenyan Born Barak Hussein Obama wins democratic Senate seat in Illinois" what folowed was 2 years of Barak Obama supporting a Muslim Juhadist candidate in Kenya against a constitutionally elected president, the Muslim lost the election. the following wave of terror by the muslims resulted in the rapes, robbberies and murders of thousands of Kenyans. including 500 Christians who were locked in their church as it was burned to the ground killing men, women and children inside.
while there is NO requirement for a Senator to be a natural born citizen, the constitution is very clear…not even a naturalized citizen can be president…ONLY Natural Born Citizens.. that means born within the boundaries of the United States. a U.S. Citizen born in germany for example is NOT qualified to be President.
The DNC refuses and is inable to produce an actual birth certificate for Barak Hussein Obama. the 37 odd birth certificates offered have all been proven to be forgeries and non-officaially recognized documentation…with His current birth Certificate, Obama could not even qualify for an identity card in Florida.
John McCain, born to two American citizens in the Panama Canal Zone, is a natural born citizen. The Constitution doesn't explicitly define who is a natrual born citizen. If Obama's father had been a US citizen, like his "Uncle" Frank, one of his Marxist idols, instead of B.O., Sr., this would never have been an issue. The fact that Obumble obfuscated and refused to release all of his records, has allowed this to fester and become an issue. I'm convinced he's hiding something between his college records and his birth certificate. Too many unanswered questions and no media people are interested in investigating. We've been had.
Don MacMurray > 2005 associated Press (liberal controlled) reported "KENYAN-BORN, BARAK HUSSEIN OBAMA WINS DEMOCRATIC SENATOR SEAT IN ILLINOIS" IT CONTINUED WITH A LIST OF OBAMA'S CRIMES IN AND AGAINST KENYANS RESULTING IN THE MURDERS OF THOUSANDS. INCLUDING 500 CHRISTIANS LOCKED INSIDE THEIR CHURCH WHILE IT WAS BURNED TO THE GROUND, KILLING THE 500 MEN WOMEN CHILDREN AND BABIES INSIDE.
Will Hefler I'm aware of the article. I sent a link to it to my favorite Obama apologist. I think he had a stroke.
Don MacMurray > ty and keep up the good fight
it's funny really. . .the DNC never suspected we'd actually consult the official news paper of kenya. . . .what other treats are the DNC terrorist collaborators hiding?
Know too, the pride of the American Military, the Naval Carrier Battlegroup/Persian Gulf are currently being held hostage by OBAMA and the DNC. operational orders being to "Make no hostile or provocative actions EVEN WHEN BEING FIRED UPON". Our Country's best and Bravest…held as hog-tied SACRIFICIAL LAMBS the the Great God of Islam and the terrorist state of IRAN. if things appear to go badly for OBAMA, look for their sacrifice a couple months before the november election.
Once the DNC and OBAMA have sacrificed our entire fleet, severely crippling our Nation's Naval Power, a simple harmless missile fired in retaliation, deep into the Iranian desert, hitting nothing but sand, could result in a wave of "Patriotic Votes" which are hoped to be the tsunami that takes Obama back into Power.
I completely agree that the Christian right is intolerant. They want the government in our bedrooms. They want to decide who is allowed to get married. They want to stop people from teaching science. They want to stop people from building a mosque (forget about the first amendment). They want to censor the airwaves. They want to tell me how to die. They lead the cheers when we start wars (so much for the Prince of Peace). They blamed the G A Y for 9/11 and hurricane Katrina.
You are full of it brown eyes. You know nothing of the Christian right. Before spouting crap do some research and tell everyone where to find what you say. It isn't available. You sound like another gay democrat, trying to force Christian's to change to your way of thinking. Fat chance of that.

I am not gay, but I would like to change minds so our country becomes less oppressive. I agree that many Christians are unlikely to change their minds on these issues, though there are signs of hope:
http://www.gallup.com/poll/147662/first-time-majority-americans-favor-legal-gay-marriage.aspx
If you are a right wing Christian who wants the government out of our bedrooms, wants science taught in science class, believes in the first amendment for all, and wants the US to adopt a less aggressive foreign policy, then please accept my apology for stereotyping.
Erik Jensen DON'T BLAME ME FOR ALL THEM POINTS. . .WHILE I AM AMERICAN, I RETAIN MY FREEDOM FROM RELIGIOUS PERSECUTORS OF BOTH THE RIGHT AND THE LEFT. THE ONLY DANGER TO ANY SOCIETY IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD, HAS BEEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE. . .FUNDAMENTALIST REACTIONARY TERRORISTS. . .I'N NOT JUST TALKING ABOUT OBAMA AND HIS AL QUEIDA BROTHERS, BUT EVERY RELIGIOUS FANATIC WHO FEELS THE NEED TO "CHASE THE DEVIL TO HELL". . .THE PROBLEM WITH THOSE TYPES. . .IF EVERYTHING IS EVIL, PRETTY SOON EVERYTHING MUST DIE. . . .WE SHOULD PASS LAWS EXTERMINATING FUNDAMENTALIST EXTREMEISTS. . .IT WOULD SAVE THE WORLD A VERY MUCH QUIETER AND PEACEFUL PLACE.
Erik Jensen Another great site which covers the Christian "Right" is http://www.rightwingwatch.org some of the stuff that is being reported is absolutely terrifying!
It really helps to know what you are talking about before you make such stupid comments!
Erik Jensen Well I decided to look up your references and found this:
1. government in the bedroom, a democratic paper spewing garabage.
2. they are only talking about marriage between a man and woman. no one cares if gays, etc have a union. They just don't call it a marriage. All the gay community wants is to make noise.
3. that was a republican trying to further science.
4. only where it was being built, not the mosque itself.
5. This is being pushed by the potus, democrats, not republicans or the christian right.
6. The law of the land has always been against anyone killing another.
Everything you spout is left leaning. The Christian doesn't care about what you think just leave they alone and allow them to have their opinion also.
Paul Brown Since you brought up civil unions being ok for homosexuals….you do realize that many states DON'T allow or recognize civil unions? Some of these states include FL, ID, UT, ND, SD, NB, KS, OK, TX, AK….you get the idea. Maybe instead of raising a stink about how gays shouldn't marry and just settle with unions…Conservative Christians should work to see the recognition of unions in these states.
Now, for the record…I'm all for equal marriage rights….but I find it quite pathetic that many who are against equal marriage rights are quite ill-informed about the status of same sex unions in this country.
Paul Brown
1. The Republican party platform in Montana calls for outlawing gay sex. This is a fact, but feel free to invent your own reality. Here is the source text: http://www.mtgop.org/platform.aspx
It took an act of the Supreme Court to invalidate many of these bedroom invading laws. Rick Santorum, among others, wants to overturn that ruling.
2. You have just confirmed my point. Right wing Christians want the government deciding who can and cannot get married.
3. "Furthering science" comes from doing work in the lab, not legislating that religion masquerading as science should be taught in a science class. I am a scientist, and I don't know a single one who want a legislature to mandate this stuff.
4. Freedom of religion means being able to build a mosque anywhere a church is allowed. There isn't a Muslim exception to the first amendment. And plenty of right wing Christians opposed a mosque in Tennessee simply because it was a mosque:
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/08/28/national/main6814690.shtml
5. I agree that lots of groups want to control the airwaves for various reasons. Right wing Christians are particularly vociferous regarding sexual content, especially when it is gay. If you are for complete freedom on the airwaves and in print, then I think that is great.
6. So you agree that Christians want to tell me how to die.
I'm happy to leave Christians alone. They do not always return the favor.
Amber Younger Thanks for the link. Bryan Fischer is quite the entertainer!
Erik Jensen No prob! Also, there's this excellent documentary which is available free online on Netflix called "Outfoxed". It's about Fox News Corp and their abuses on journalism and how right-winged and bias they REALLY are. Hopefully you'll read this before Fox News or Mr. Starnes himself deletes this post lmao!!!!
Will Hefler ."THE PROBLEM WITH THOSE TYPES. . .IF EVERYTHING IS EVIL, PRETTY SOON EVERYTHING MUST DIE. . . .WE SHOULD PASS LAWS EXTERMINATING FUNDAMENTALIST EXTREMEISTS. . .IT WOULD SAVE THE WORLD A VERY MUCH QUIETER AND PEACEFUL PLACE." Will, I hope you weren't serious…. or if you were, I hope you realize the unmitigated hypocrisy in the statement.
This is one sorry excuse for a potus if there ever has been one. All he can do now is try to purchase the WH for another 4 years and put an end to the USA as we have known it.
for a NATION based on FREEDOM, the right to PERSUE Happiness, the Right to FREEDOM of SPEECH, the RIGHT to keep and bear arms…there sure seems to be a hell of a lot of idiots out there who try to control us. Whether it is destroying 20,000 jobs by veto of a pipeline by a muslim Jihadist President, or some towel-headed mook yelling allah akbar, or some other "Religious Leader", historically, NONE of their track records are worth a spit… or they seem to be saying "can't we all Play Nice? while secretly promoting the rape, robbery, and murder of the very people they claim to protect (Obama's Class WAR, coming soon to a main street near you) those precious few who remember what true FREEDOM means…the FREEDOM to WORK, the FREEDOM to solve our own problems best we can, the FREEDOM of "being your own boss…win or fail, depends only on yourself". Why do we have those masses of LOSERS that we are forced to pay for THEIR CHILDREN, (Welfare Mothers) PAY for THEIR bad choices (for most of us, NO Work = NO FOOD) and now OBAMA now demands that WE are responsible to pay for their "RIGHT" to a free college education?" Buddy…I been working days and going to vo-tech schools at night for 21 years, no help from NOBODY, and suddenly I have to pay to educate fools that are too damned LAZY to WORK FOR IT?
Sheesh, Obama has not learned a thing since 1995. He is still the community agitator steeped in marxism, but now to an entire country. I wonder how many Obama voters ever took the time to read his specious "book" in which he made his ideology and intentions crystal clear? Probably as many as Germans who read Hitler's "Mein Kampf".
ANOTHER FRAUD PERPETRATED BY THE DNC, OBAMA, AND THE DEMOCRAT ECO-TERRORISTS! 20,000 jobs for hard working AMERICANS PISSED AWAY BY OBAMA! WHY? the Ogallala aquifer, they have us convinced that an oil spill from the proposed pipline will pollute the water.
THIS MAY BE TRUE OR A REGULAR AQUIFER, which is an "OPEN SYSTEM" the aquifer recharges from rains, lakes, rivers, seepages, etc….but we are NOT TALKING ABOUT AN OPEN SYSTEM AQUIFER. THE OGALLALA Aquifer is a closed system! think of it as an I.V. Bag with a book sitting on top of it….once the bag is empty…it is empty forever…the ogallala aquifer DOES NOT RECHARGE AS OTHER AQUIFERS DO…IT IS A SEALED SYSTEM. CURRENT ESTIMATES (WITH SEVERE LIMITATIONS ON PUMPING) PLACE THE LIFE OF THE aQUIFER AT BEING BONE DRY IN LESS THAN 25 YEARS!
IF ONE STOPS TO THINK ABOUT THE BILLIONS OF GALLONS OF PETROLEUM PRODUCTS PURPOSEFULLY DUMPED ( YES, DUMPED…. BEFORE THE CAR, GASOLINE WAS CONSIDERED A WASTE PRODUCT OF REFINERIES AND COMMONLY DUMPED INTO WHATEVER WATER SOURCE WAS HANDY.) OVER THE oGALLALA AQUIFER FOR THE LAST 120 YEARS…AND NOT A SINGLE DROP IS TRACEABLE IN A WATER SAMPLE TAKEN FROM THERE TODAY….OR DO THE DEMOCRATS DENY THE COMMON STANDARD PRACTICE OF DUMPING OIL WASTE PRODUCTS EVERYWHERE FROM GALVESTON TO GREAT FALLS AND DENVER TO DETROIT FOR THE FIRST 100 YEARS OF OIL REFINEMENT AND PRODUCTION IN THE uNITED sTATES? (ROUGHLY THE SIZE AND LOCATION OF THE OGALLALA AQUIFER) no oil, even MAJOR SPILL COULD EVER WORK ITS WAY INTO THE CLOSED, SEALED OGALLALA AQUIFER. IF FACT, IF THE DEMOCRATS WERE NOT COMPLETELY USELESS IDIOTS…WHY COULDN'T WE "BREAK THE SEAL" AND RECHARGE THE EMPTY BOTTLE THRU A SERIES OF AQUADUCTS DRAWN FROM THE NEAREST GREAT LAKE? SOLVE 3000 PROBLEMS WITH A SINGLE STROKE.
THE CHRISTIAN RIGHT IS TIRED OF OBAMA'S LIES AND STUFF? THEN WELCOME TO THE COMPANY OF THE HERETIC SCIENCE WORSHIPPERS WHO HAVE BEEN AS MAD AS HELL AT THOSE LEFT-WING LUNATIC LYING THIEVING MURDEROUS HYPOCRITS….FOR THE LAST 5OO YEARS.
And? I don't see the issue…
Open your eyes and ears and your mind might follow.
Paul Brown Opinions are like assholes – everyone has one…
Holy Crap! We actually have something negative that Obama said or did before his miraculous eruption on the national scene that has NOT been re-written by his handlers? It actually demonstrates his anti-Christian bias in favor of Leftist Double Speak about "Moral High Ground". WOW!
Maybe we'll actually get to see someone who actually met him when he supposedly in College. This guy has got more skeletons in the closet than the Haunted Mansion in Disney World!
Christians should be "intolerant" of sin. Too many are not and this is what got us a president like Barry.
So, let me get this straight: Obama has a problem with Christians not agreeing with abortions, homosexuality, welfare? HELLO? This is bibical teachings. I'm sure (matter of fact, I'm positive) that isalm has the same "policies" on those issues. where is his attacks on them?
He's asking us Christians not to be Christians. Is that right?
NOT only is OBAMA telling us to NOT be Christian, BOTH OBAMA and the DNC clearly have a plan to get rid of Christians, JEWS, and ALL THINGS NOT MUSLIM OR COMMUNIST. 3 YEARS the DNC and OBAMA have incited the minorities to rob, rape, riot, and murder (OBAMA'S "Class WARfare") assisted by the congressional Black Caucus, (Maxine Waters' loud and repeated claims that all Conservatives want to see Blacks hanging from trees, also lately, that ALL Conservatives want to re-instate the Jim Crow Laws: Blacks only allowed to ride in the back of the bus, Blacks only allowed to eat outside "WHITE" restuarants, Blacks only allowed into "White" businesses thru the back door and other vile crap like the democrats did to them since they were freed by Lincoln) add to this, 3 years of OBAMA, and the DNC arming the MEXICAN MAFIA with THOUSANDS of the latest HI-Tech Military weapons. add to this OBAMA's Command to increase visa approval by as much as 4000% creating OBAMA's SUPER-HIGHWAY TO THE HEARTLAND for TERRORISTS, MEXICAN INSURGENTS< ILLEGALS AND WAR MATERIEL. add 3 years of OBAMA and the DNC granting massive increases to Welfare, food stamps, medicaid, and you have an instant "FOOD STAMP MILITIA" READY, ARMED AND WAITING for the signal to begin the violence when OBAMA loses the election. . .all it would take is for some idiot democrat to say on the evening news "HONKEY STOLE THE ELECTION !!!!!" and we can sit in our bomb shelters as America is torn apart and burned around our ears.
what happens next. . .the real point for the Troubles of OBAMA and the DNC to have done this? the answer is simple. . .OBAMA ignores Congress, the Democrat controlled SENATE illegally grants "Emergency Presidential Powers" enabling OBAMA to declare Martial law. . .once OBAMA declares Martial LAW. . .it effectively strips every AMERICAN CITIZEN OF EVERY SINGLE RIGHT WE HOLD DEAR, NO FREEDOM OF SPEECH, NO RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS. . .WE WOULD BE INSTANT ANIMALS IN THE EYES OF THE LAW. OBAMA WOULD BE "OBLIGATED" TO CALL IN THE U.N. "pEACEKEEPERS" WHEN aMERICAN FORCES REFUSE TO OPEN FIRE ON CIVILIANS. THE U.N. OCCUPATIONAL FORCE WOULD HAVE THE BLESSINGS OF THE DEMOCRATS AND OBAMA TO USE "WHATEVER MEANS NECESSARY (INCLUDING MASS MURDER) TO "QUELL THE UNREST"
ONCE THIS HAPPENS, IT IS TOO LATE, THE UNITED STATES COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY ERASED FROM THE MAP, CHRISTIANS, JEWS, AGNOSTICS, ATHEISTS. . .ALL DEAD OR DYING. . .ONLY THE DEMOCRATS AND MUSLIMS LEFT BREATHING.
We all know there's a very good chance that our current islamic Jihadist pretender to the president is perfectly positioned to destroy our nation, killing a vast majority of us in the process…I mean…look what all his talk about class war did to Gabrielle Gifford…if his big mouth can get his own people shot…we really need to concentrate on how to get rid of this wart on a rat's ass.
Which brings Me to My current point….is it just me? or is everybody tired of hearing all those old gas-bag politicians ripping each other to hell with a vengence? Personally, I'm bout sick of every damned one of them. I don't reall give a flying fruit-loop thru a rolling donut about all that "He said, she said" crap. Iwant to know what they plan to do for Me. I want to know how they plan to stop all this asinine spending, I want to know HOW THEY plan to WORK FOR ME.
Let's get very damned real for a minute here…do YOU want to hire some crooked gas-bag that will tap-dance around the question? do YOU want to really have to deal with that crap? NO…NOT ME…they want MY vote, then they better realize mthat they are dropping an application for my perusal…if they don't SHOW ME they will DO THE DAMNED JOB…THEN WELCOME TO THE UNEMPLOYMENT LINE…OBAMA'S SAVING YOU A PLAce.
IF YOU'RE UP ON THAT SORT OF THING…WHY does OBAMA and the DNC pay for hundreds of thousands of abortions annually with our tax money> I have more important things to have MY tax money spent upon. I mean..keeping crack-whores employed would be a good thing…IF they paid taxes instead, they suck up My tax money for all that free OBAMA medical, are dreadfully overpaid with all that foodstamp money, and definitely live in a much NICER house than I do…also paid for with MY tax Money, and MOST Likely has a much larger flat-screen with FREE cable, FRee, cell-phone, sounds like we're ALL getting Screwed…without even a kiss or a wink.
Mr. Obama seems to have forgotten that The United States of America WAS founded on the Judeo-Christian principals and still maintains them! If he is Not aware or disagrees, He needs to re-learn his/our history. Another point HISTORY needs to be taught again! True History. HE has another option as well; Go back to Kenya, or any place he feels or thinks the way he does.
Carl, he didn't forget US History….he was busy learning KENYAN history as a child.
RE: During his 2008 presidential run, Obama came under fire for blasting Americans who cling to their guns and religion. He labeled them “bitter Americans.”.
Just can't wait to read Dispatchs From "Bitter America".
Obama seems to be a Christian as long as he gets what he wants but then nobody knows what he is when he don't get what he was after. Obama has grown up bumbing his way through life without ever working and holding any kind of job. He let welfare and different support groups give him what he wanted. These people gets addicted to welfare and all the free stuff that they depend on that life style and refuse to give it up. They think what ever you have is theirs also or that you are required to share everything with them so they have what ever you worked for instead of them working for their own. If they have a job they want to show up when they want but they want a paycheck equal to yours when they didn't show up half the time. Once people gets lazy it is impossible to get the lazy out of a person so they will support their self.
What a joke, family values and moral responsibility. the only thing that fool knows about them is how to try to destroy them. The Democratic Whitehouse has almost declared war on Christianity, the Constitution, family values and moral responsibility. It's time for him to be removed from office. Prediction for November, Dems loose in a landslide.
President Obama and the Holder Justice Department evidently have no interest in clean elections this year, so this responsibility has now fallen to Judicial Watch. And given the rampant election fraud that occurred during the last two election cycles, this is a matter of the highest priority as we head into the 2012 election season. It is simply impossible to have any faith in the integrity of an election where dead people remain on the voting rolls. This is a recipe for voter fraud and stolen elections,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
Oh I agree President Obama will not be running a clean election again this year, just like the fact that there were more votes cast than registered voters to get Senator Frankin, DEMORCRAT, from Minnisota elected. Or how about ACORN fraudiently registering Mickey Mouse to vote many time over. Maybe it was having Mickey and Minne Mouse sigh the petetion to have Govener Scott Walker removed from office in Wisconsin. What about the fact that Attorney General did not prosicute the Black Panthers who were intimadating voters in 2008 even though there was video proof.

How is any of this contrary to his stated position now. All you of have to do is listen to people like Mr. Falwell and Pat Robertson and their right wing christian flock and realize he was speaking the truth. They have called him every name in the book except a christian. This is further strengthened by all the self-righteous indignation of the posts from the RW here.
