I wrote this response to Christians who are saying there is no way President Obama could be a believer in Jesus Christ, since he approves of leaving the decision of abortion up to the individual parent. I thought it connected with this general topic, so I decided to write it here;.
I have 8 beautiful grandchildren whom I adore and value as precious gifts from God. I would never encourage anyone to get an abortion, nor would I ever consider such a thing as being “the right thing to do” let alone a good thing. IT IS CLEARLY EVIL…but as abhorrent as it is to make the choice to kill your own child, there is a dynamic taking place here on a deeper level that most of us have not really thought through or considered in depth;.
First of all, that God has given SO much free will to humanity, one could actually blame God for all the evils in this world…and even go so far as to say God is evil; for allowing a Hitler, a Hussein or other evil dictator to even be born…and then worse…to allow the masses the free will to allow or support such tyrants to come to power and brutally murder thousands or even millions of people. Along with this thought…have we considered that A CHILD BEING RAISED BY A PARENT who could be SO SELFISH and SO EVIL to end their own child’s life in the womb, COULD ACTUALLY BE A WORSE OPTION…or WORSE EVIL? Causing FAR more evil and pain for both the child and the rest of us as this child becomes a selfish and evil adult in the parents image…or even worse than the parent?
Secondly, perhaps you have not considered that God gave each one of us free will to not only kill an unborn child, but kill one another or even kill ourselves (and suffer for the outcome of our choice). The President did not give us this free will…God did. Therefore, the question for the leader of any nation is not; Should we GIVE A PERSON POWER to do this? (But rather) Should we do whatever we can to TAKE THIS POWER AWAY? (Which is like taking the free will away thru a law, when it comes to certain crimes by making it ILLEGAL)? As we all know making abortion ILLEGAL years ago did not stop it from happening behind closed doors, any more than the PROHIBITION or the ILLEGAL drug trade, that has caused untold suffering among millions of our loved ones along with all the violence and brutal murder taking place in Mexico and South America for decades now among the cartels and evil drug lords. Regardless of the fact it is ILLEGAL… it is OUT OF CONTROL and FUELED by selfish people who are “out of control” of their own lives who are buying and using these drugs…in effect SUPPORTING all the murder and carnage going on in the drug trade WORLDWIDE.
This brings me to my next point which is simply that the drug trade is FUELED by people who are EMPTY ON THE INSIDE…people who don’t know the warmth and satisfaction of having the Spirit of the Living God dwelling within their own hearts…which is also the dilemma of the parents who don’t know the Love of God, and likewise have no love for their unborn child and see the responsibility of a child as putting a crimp on their own selfish lifestyle…being SO selfish in fact, to the point of making the decision to kill their own child…fulfilling the scripture in 2Timothy 3:1-4 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. FOR MEN SHALL BE LOVERS OF THEIR OWN SELVES…
We can therefore conclude that the great problems and evils of society (as they always have been) are SPIRITUAL at their core and have their root on a much deeper level within the heart and mind of humanity and MUST BE ADDRESSED AT THIS LEVEL OR WILL NEVER BE RESOLVED.
Like Bill O'Reilly said tonight…"Planned Parenthood does 300,000+ abortions per year and about 1,000 adoptions…Shouldn't those numbers be reversed?" And, Pro-life, it means wanting to save innocent babies…Is that so wrong? It is true…Good v/s Evil and Evil is flailing about! Gives me hope!

Of course there is nothing wrong about wanting to save innocent babies. Especially if the child could be placed in a loving home with a husband and wife who have a normal, healthy relationship. Sounds to me like a far better option than abortion, however I hear there are legal hurdles in the adoption industry that make it extremely difficult…do you know…is that the case?
Michael Basalyga I don't know anything about the adoption industry. I do know our country is in decline and our birthrates are way down…Simplifying the process seems like a smart idea.
Since you insist on your 'war on religion' phrase, Todd, lets examine why that might be. This is the 21st century and yet you and other believers would have America shackled to the mores and rules of pre-1st century dwellers. And said people believed in a magical sky god. I can excuse them for that since they had NO knowledge of modern sciences like biology, cosmology, genetics, evolution, etc. What is your excuse for believing in a creator god though? Its not like this particular god is even worthy of a respect either since he commands murder and condones rape and sexual discrimination. If there is a 'war on religion' its because there are moral people who can think past the 1st century's mythologies.

Cathy Gardino – Your question is invalid. I oppose all forms of religious foolishness. Our Constitution is all the stronger without religion on any kind imposed upon it. No real problems have ever been solved by superstition.

I look forward to a day when all men, including politicians can honor the truth when spoken, regardless of whether the one speaking is a perceived enemy or friend. What took place in the Fox video of "why Obama is wading in religious waters" is a tragedy. President Obama not only spoke the truth in quoting the words of Jesus; it was very intelligent of him to make the connection and application to our nations present situation of national debt that is now out of control. On the contrary it was disappointing to see the response of the Republicans. The comment by Orrin Hatch was powerless and meaningless. Obama was simply quoting Jesus, not claiming to be Jesus. If we can’t quote the words of the wise and apply them to our problems today, then such thinking would leave us without access to any of the wisdom spoken from our past, regardless of who it was that spoke. While the gospels ARE concerned about weightier matters, God cares about everyone and everything as it applies to our well being. Our nations financial health certainly qualifies. Furthermore, the suggestion to “keep religion out of it” has no application to this whatsoever. This is about quoting wisdom and truth from an Ancient wise man…be it Jesus, Buddah or Plato who defined evil as “ignorance”. Truth leads us out of ignorance and the many evils caused by it. The world will eventually be led out of the ignorance that exists in religions into the reality of Truth, AS RELIGIONS ARE ILLUSIONS. Jesus was not even sent here to start a religion, but rather establish the Kingdom of God in men’s hearts. In reality there is only God and the Collective human soul which the bible calls the bride of Christ and Jesus was sent to reconcile the two and join us all together as the Children of God, unlike world religions, which have separated men for thousands of years, creating wars and strife seemingly without end. The words of Jesus are spiritual wisdom…not religious. Men create religions. God speaks the Truth. Rick Santorum was right…he did miss that passage or more accurately passages from the bible. Jesus both sanctioned paying fair taxes and went much further in telling the rich young ruler to sell all he had and give to the poor. I am not suggesting giving indiscriminately or supporting a welfare state, but there is nothing that makes sense about people hoarding wealth, especially while others are starving. Luke 16:19-31 and Luke 12:16-21. Mr. Santorum needs to spend more time reading his bible, and our leaders need to care more for the populous and use their God given common sense that tells us all there is no sense in hoarding wealth above what any person needs to be comfortable. Such hoarding is pure selfishness and the very opposite of love, which is the one new commandment Jesus gave us…that we love one another…for God is Love. Also see James 2:15-17.

Cathy Gardino, have you ever picked up a history book? :/ People, when left to their own devices, treat other people horrendously. If anything, HISTORY has proven just how abhorent people can be without laws and regulations. It's a sad proof of your ignorance and naivety to hold such beliefs.
Cathy Gardino; I am not current on US domestic or foreign policy, nor do I pretend to know where all the money is being spent…or wasted (no doubt it has been wasted). Regarding waste (what you call indiscriminate and frivolous) I am also not aware of what policies or programs in particular are failing and would welcome someone who is qualified to educate me, as I have spent very little time following these stories. Yet these are all separate issues from the one I addressed here as my focus is the Truth and Spiritual things, which I see as the foundation of understanding anything and everything that truly matters. My passion is not politics but the Truth, regardless of which political camp it comes from. It is a mistake for either one of the parties not to recognize the Truth when spoken; regardless of who spoke it…this principle is also true regarding Spiritual Truth, whether it is spoken by Jesus or Ghandi or fill in the blank. Truth is Truth. I have also heard a lot of Obama bashing along with his “failed policy” bashing, but have heard few particulars about what has failed or why they failed, and even less REGARDING WHAT NEW POLICIES WOULD BE A SUCCESS in transforming our Nation’s future. It is SO easy to bash the guy in office…AND IN THIS CASE A MAN WHO LARGELY INHERITED ALL THE PROBLEMS FROM PAST ADMINISTRATIONS.
We also need to separate two subjects here; the supply of where capital will come from VS where it will be spent. I don’t pretend to be a genius in financial matters, but even I can understand being we are 15 trillion in debt, we clearly need MORE MONEY TO PAY THIS DEBT OFF (while keeping the nation running) AS IT HAS ALREADY BEEN SPENT. Otherwise please qualify how you can ascertain we don’t need more money? Who has the numbers on the Federal Budget and where it is being spent? If there is waste going on, it would obviously have its source in either incapable or corrupt government officials and/or politicians, so this would be at the core of what needs to be exposed and cut out of the budget.
I was addressing the hoarding of wealth as being ludicrous and even corrupt…a spiritual dilemma that has its source in the greed of the human heart. If $15 trillion of our Nation’s wealth has vanished, then the simple question is…where did it go? The simple answer? Into a minority of peoples bank accounts. In fact I hear the 500 wealthiest Americans have more combined wealth than the 100 million at the bottom. At this point our only hope as a Nation may be that these same 500 Americans see the greater value of possessing Eternal Wealth as in TRUE GODLY VIRTUE…expressed in actually caring for the rest of the populous the way God would. Caring enough in fact to put their heads together, along with their combined wealth and come up with an answer to meet our financial need, even if that means changing the Constitution to do so.
A non-profit Oil Company might be a great start, along with building the proposed gas pipeline from Alaska to Chicago; which I hear would be the largest single construction project in US history, along with another gas pipeline built in Alaska to Valdez where the gas could be shipped overseas to start paying down our debt. Someone is going to have to start thinking outside the box…or we may never get out of it.

We do not need the gov't to take care of our healthcare, the feeding and clothing of our people or deciding which companies should prosper and which should fail…As for horrendous behavior, I would think you with your self esteem being so high would do well to remember to kill 11,000,000 people, all you have to do is lie to them.

Yes I do…I've made a real effort to simplify my own writing, taking the advice of Davinci who wrote "Simplicity is the ultimate Sophistication"…so I began writing the "Arrows of Orion"…along with "The Mountains of God" (both on my facebook page)… a new revelation of God the world has never heard, which I beleive has the potential to break down all the walls of religion that have separated both Christians and people of all religious persuasions worldwide and create a unity we have never known before. To put it in its simplest terms…Our problems have their source in our misconception of God. My new revelation of God exalts the NATURE of God which is LOVE.
A name represents a NATURE which is the SUBSTANCE of the name. If WE THE PEOPLE and our leaders don't exalt the nature of LOVE in our everyday lives in this Nation…God will also not be exalted…for God is Love. In particular the Holy Spirit is Love…She is the Original God who in Her beautiful Humility has largely hidden Herself from the masses…including the masses of Christianity…as She never seeks Her own (ICor.13:5) neither seeks to be worshipped, nor be the greatest…She is Pure Holy Love which all of us as the Bride of Christ across the earth need to see for who She is (The pure in heart shall see God) and emulate Her in our thoughts, words and actions 24/7(which is worship)…how we relate to one another, treat one another…in essence how we LOVE ONE ANOTHER. She exalts Her Son Jesus…in order to exalt a NATURE…the Divine nature of Love seen visibly in Jesus when He refused to fight back to preserve His own life or SELF; for the good of all humanity…teaching us an Eternal lesson of what Real Love looks like. This new Revelation of God takes on even greater perspective when we realize that as Her offspring…the Children of God, WE THE PEOPLE are in fact the 4th dimension of God…so when we love and serve one another, we ARE loving and serving God. Matt 25:40 I also agree with you…with Gods power we can do anything together…Even enlighten America's Wealthy Elite of their own much deeper and much greater wealth of Wisdom and Love that God has planted in the deepest places of their being… to stir their hearts and minds to use their Collective Intelligence, Wisdom and Power to find a solution for our Nation in this…its time of Great Crisis. The only war regarding religion I can percieve is from religious folks trying to pass legislation based on their personal religious beliefs. There is, or should be, a separation of church and state in this country. You have the religous freedom to practice your religion within the limits of the law (no stoning people or sacrifices allowed), but nobody has the right to impose their own religious beliefs on anybody else. Religion has no place in politics. And if you want to keep your religious freedom, you should feel the same way.

The Bill O'Reilly who claims to stop the spin, is now creating spin to protect the power of the Catholic hierarchy; The idea that mandating birth control coverage and making it available to Catholics violates their religious freedom or beliefs is ludicrous. No one is forcing anyone to use birth control; it is simply insurance coverage to make it available should a person choose to use it. Each person still has their individual freedom to choose according to what they believe. Jonathan Morris in representing the Catholic hierarchy in the recent Fox video clip is obviously not concerned about the religious freedom of individual Catholics (who we all know already take birth control with their freedom of conscience before God), Jonathan's concern is about what he defines as the INSTITUTIONS right to religious liberty…in this case the institution of the Catholic hierarchy…who are attempting to translate the "freedom of religion" granted to US citizens…to the "freedom of the Catholic hierarchy” to do all they can to control the people against their own free will…which of course is not liberty, but religious bondage. I would suggest they are more concerned about making more Catholic babies, than the conscience of their followers being violated. We all know God gives abundant free will to everyone to do much more than use birth control, which I clearly addressed in the post below this one. God also gave the pure freedom to priests or any other spiritual leaders to marry, BUT THE HIERARCHY TOOK THAT AWAY TOO. We all know what the abhorrent results of that has been, with the priests turning into homosexuals and molesting boys. The Catholics are SO lost at sea…they are not even in the right Ocean. I Timothy 4:3 & Heb.13:4.
If the Pope and his ignorant Bishops were in the garden of Eden 6,000 years ago, they would have objected to God planting the tree of the knowledge of good and evil there as a violation of their conscience…and had a much bigger problem with the two innocent lovers whom God clothed with nothing but the lovely radiance and Majesty of His own likeness; who were making passionate love and multiplying like God told them to. 98% of Catholic women have proved they don’t give a hoot about the “authority” of their Pope and his underlings since they already use birth control. Most of those women are also honest enough to admit they are fine with the new insurance mandate. The rest of those women who claim to oppose the President’s plan are obviously only giving lip service to the hierarchy…knowing of course…lip service is what they love the most.

I look forward to a day when all men, including politicians can honor the truth when spoken, regardless of whether the one speaking is a perceived enemy or friend. What took place in the Fox video of "why Obama is wading in religious waters" is a tragedy. President Obama not only spoke the truth in quoting the words of Jesus; it was very intelligent of him to make the connection and application to our nations present situation of national debt that is now out of control. On the contrary it was disappointing to see the response of the Republicans. The comment by Orrin Hatch was powerless and meaningless. Obama was simply quoting Jesus, not claiming to be Jesus. If we can’t quote the words of the wise and apply them to our problems today, then such thinking would leave us without access to any of the wisdom spoken from our past, regardless of who it was that spoke. While the gospels ARE concerned about weightier matters, God cares about everyone and everything as it applies to our well being. Our nations financial health certainly qualifies. Furthermore, the suggestion to “keep religion out of it” has no application to this whatsoever. This is about quoting wisdom and truth from an Ancient wise man…be it Jesus, Buddah or Plato who defined evil as “ignorance”. Truth leads us out of ignorance and the many evils caused by it. The world will eventually be led out of the ignorance that exists in religions into the reality of Truth, AS RELIGIONS ARE ILLUSIONS. Jesus was not even sent here to start a religion, but rather establish the Kingdom of God in men’s hearts. In reality there is only God and the Collective human soul which the bible calls the bride of Christ and Jesus was sent to reconcile the two and join us all together as the Children of God, unlike world religions, which have separated men for thousands of years, creating wars and strife seemingly without end. The words of Jesus are spiritual wisdom…not religious. Men create religions. God speaks the Truth. Rick Santorum was right…he did miss that passage or more accurately passages from the bible. Jesus both sanctioned paying fair taxes and went much further in telling the rich young ruler to sell all he had and give to the poor. I am not suggesting giving indiscriminately or supporting a welfare state, but there is nothing that makes sense about people hoarding wealth, especially while others are starving. Luke 16:19-31 and Luke 12:16-21. Mr. Santorum needs to spend more time reading his bible, and our leaders need to care more for the populous and use their God given common sense that tells us all there is no sense in hoarding wealth above what any person needs to be comfortable. Such hoarding is pure selfishness and the very opposite of love, which is the one new commandment Jesus gave us…that we love one another…for God is Love. Also see James 2:15-17.

Cathy Gardino, have you ever picked up a history book? :/ People, when left to their own devices, treat other people horrendously. If anything, HISTORY has proven just how abhorent people can be without laws and regulations. It's a sad proof of your ignorance and naivety to hold such beliefs.
Cathy Gardino; I am not current on US domestic or foreign policy, nor do I pretend to know where all the money is being spent…or wasted (no doubt it has been wasted). Regarding waste (what you call indiscriminate and frivolous) I am also not aware of what policies or programs in particular are failing and would welcome someone who is qualified to educate me, as I have spent very little time following these stories. Yet these are all separate issues from the one I addressed here as my focus is the Truth and Spiritual things, which I see as the foundation of understanding anything and everything that truly matters. My passion is not politics but the Truth, regardless of which political camp it comes from. It is a mistake for either one of the parties not to recognize the Truth when spoken; regardless of who spoke it…this principle is also true regarding Spiritual Truth, whether it is spoken by Jesus or Ghandi or fill in the blank. Truth is Truth. I have also heard a lot of Obama bashing along with his “failed policy” bashing, but have heard few particulars about what has failed or why they failed, and even less REGARDING WHAT NEW POLICIES WOULD BE A SUCCESS in transforming our Nation’s future. It is SO easy to bash the guy in office…AND IN THIS CASE A MAN WHO LARGELY INHERITED ALL THE PROBLEMS FROM PAST ADMINISTRATIONS.
We also need to separate two subjects here; the supply of where capital will come from VS where it will be spent. I don’t pretend to be a genius in financial matters, but even I can understand being we are 15 trillion in debt, we clearly need MORE MONEY TO PAY THIS DEBT OFF (while keeping the nation running) AS IT HAS ALREADY BEEN SPENT. Otherwise please qualify how you can ascertain we don’t need more money? Who has the numbers on the Federal Budget and where it is being spent? If there is waste going on, it would obviously have its source in either incapable or corrupt government officials and/or politicians, so this would be at the core of what needs to be exposed and cut out of the budget.
I was addressing the hoarding of wealth as being ludicrous and even corrupt…a spiritual dilemma that has its source in the greed of the human heart. If $15 trillion of our Nation’s wealth has vanished, then the simple question is…where did it go? The simple answer? Into a minority of peoples bank accounts. In fact I hear the 500 wealthiest Americans have more combined wealth than the 100 million at the bottom. At this point our only hope as a Nation may be that these same 500 Americans see the greater value of possessing Eternal Wealth as in TRUE GODLY VIRTUE…expressed in actually caring for the rest of the populous the way God would. Caring enough in fact to put their heads together, along with their combined wealth and come up with an answer to meet our financial need, even if that means changing the Constitution to do so.
A non-profit Oil Company might be a great start, along with building the proposed gas pipeline from Alaska to Chicago; which I hear would be the largest single construction project in US history, along with another gas pipeline built in Alaska to Valdez where the gas could be shipped overseas to start paying down our debt. Someone is going to have to start thinking outside the box…or we may never get out of it.

Yes I do…I've made a real effort to simplify my own writing, taking the advice of Davinci who wrote "Simplicity is the ultimate Sophistication"…so I began writing the "Arrows of Orion"…along with "The Mountains of God" (both on my facebook page)… a new revelation of God the world has never heard, which I beleive has the potential to break down all the walls of religion that have separated both Christians and people of all religious persuasions worldwide and create a unity we have never known before. To put it in its simplest terms…Our problems have their source in our misconception of God. My new revelation of God exalts the NATURE of God which is LOVE.

A name represents a NATURE which is the SUBSTANCE of the name. If WE THE PEOPLE and our leaders don't exalt the nature of LOVE in our everyday lives in this Nation…God will also not be exalted…for God is Love. In particular the Holy Spirit is Love…She is the Original God who in Her beautiful Humility has largely hidden Herself from the masses…including the masses of Christianity…as She never seeks Her own (ICor.13:5) neither seeks to be worshipped, nor be the greatest…She is Pure Holy Love which all of us as the Bride of Christ across the earth need to see for who She is (The pure in heart shall see God) and emulate Her in our thoughts, words and actions 24/7(which is worship)…how we relate to one another, treat one another…in essence how we LOVE ONE ANOTHER. She exalts Her Son Jesus…in order to exalt a NATURE…the Divine nature of Love seen visibly in Jesus when He refused to fight back to preserve His own life or SELF; for the good of all humanity…teaching us an Eternal lesson of what Real Love looks like. This new Revelation of God takes on even greater perspective when we realize that as Her offspring…the Children of God, WE THE PEOPLE are in fact the 4th dimension of God…so when we love and serve one another, we ARE loving and serving God. Matt 25:40 I also agree with you…with Gods power we can do anything together…Even enlighten America's Wealthy Elite of their own much deeper and much greater wealth of Wisdom and Love that God has planted in the deepest places of their being… to stir their hearts and minds to use their Collective Intelligence, Wisdom and Power to find a solution for our Nation in this…its time of Great Crisis. The only war regarding religion I can percieve is from religious folks trying to pass legislation based on their personal religious beliefs. There is, or should be, a separation of church and state in this country. You have the religous freedom to practice your religion within the limits of the law (no stoning people or sacrifices allowed), but nobody has the right to impose their own religious beliefs on anybody else. Religion has no place in politics. And if you want to keep your religious freedom, you should feel the same way.

The Bill O'Reilly who claims to stop the spin, is now creating spin to protect the power of the Catholic hierarchy; The idea that mandating birth control coverage and making it available to Catholics violates their religious freedom or beliefs is ludicrous. No one is forcing anyone to use birth control; it is simply insurance coverage to make it available should a person choose to use it. Each person still has their individual freedom to choose according to what they believe. Jonathan Morris in representing the Catholic hierarchy in the recent Fox video clip is obviously not concerned about the religious freedom of individual Catholics (who we all know already take birth control with their freedom of conscience before God), Jonathan's concern is about what he defines as the INSTITUTIONS right to religious liberty…in this case the institution of the Catholic hierarchy…who are attempting to translate the "freedom of religion" granted to US citizens…to the "freedom of the Catholic hierarchy” to do all they can to control the people against their own free will…which of course is not liberty, but religious bondage. I would suggest they are more concerned about making more Catholic babies, than the conscience of their followers being violated. We all know God gives abundant free will to everyone to do much more than use birth control, which I clearly addressed in the post below this one. God also gave the pure freedom to priests or any other spiritual leaders to marry, BUT THE HIERARCHY TOOK THAT AWAY TOO. We all know what the abhorrent results of that has been, with the priests turning into homosexuals and molesting boys. The Catholics are SO lost at sea…they are not even in the right Ocean. I Timothy 4:3 & Heb.13:4.
If the Pope and his ignorant Bishops were in the garden of Eden 6,000 years ago, they would have objected to God planting the tree of the knowledge of good and evil there as a violation of their conscience…and had a much bigger problem with the two innocent lovers whom God clothed with nothing but the lovely radiance and Majesty of His own likeness; who were making passionate love and multiplying like God told them to. 98% of Catholic women have proved they don’t give a hoot about the “authority” of their Pope and his underlings since they already use birth control. Most of those women are also honest enough to admit they are fine with the new insurance mandate. The rest of those women who claim to oppose the President’s plan are obviously only giving lip service to the hierarchy…knowing of course…lip service is what they love the most.
