Atheists are using a music video that celebrates the burning of churches and synagogues to promote an upcoming atheist-themed festival at Fort Bragg.

“Rock Beyond Belief” is scheduled to be held on the parade field at Fort Bragg in March. The event was created in part as a response to a Billy Graham Evangelistic Association event that was held last year.

Justin Griffith, who organized “Rock Beyond Belief,” said he was personally offended that a Christian evangelical event like “Rock the Fort” was held on the base.

“We felt it was entirely inappropriate for anyone to say your current religion is wrong,” Griffith told Fox News& Commentary. “We view all soldiers as already spiritually complete. Whatever their current religious preference is has no bearing on how fit they are as a soldier or anything related to military business.”

Griffith confirmed the lineup includes atheist speakers, a rapper who raps about evolution and a “kiddy pool” where boys and girls will be able to scientifically walk on water.

There will also be a number of bands performing – the most famous of which is Aiden. They are featured in a video on the “Rocky Beyond Belief” website that includes images of burning churches and bloody crosses.

The website Christianfighterpilot.com was the first to raise questions about the music.

The website labels the song as the “atheist anthem.”

Among the lyrics: “Love how the burn your synagogues, love how they torch your holy books.”

The group is no stranger to strong lyrics. Another of their songs says, “F*** your God, F*** your faith in the end. There’s no religion.”

Griffith said that particular song would not be performed at the festival, but defended the video of burning churches.

“You can buy their albums in Wal-Mart, a Christian-friendly store,” Griffith said. “If you have issues with bands that sometimes have swear words, or naughty words, or shocking imagery, that’s a part of the First Amendment.”

Benjamin Abel, a spokesman for Fort Bragg told Fox News & Commentary that they were launching a review of the bands scheduled to perform along with their content.

“This is a family-friendly event and we expect the entertainment will meet the standards of decency that would be typical on a top-40 music station,” Abel said. “We owe it to our soldiers and families on post to make sure it is.”

As for the graphic, anti-Christian lyrics – Abel said “I would have to think we would have to take a very close look at that kind of lyric.”

“I don’t know how family-friendly that is,” he said.

Griffith said there is absolutely no controversy about Aiden’s upcoming performance.

“It’s a little shocking to hear some of this stuff,” he said. “I’m sure you understand that these types of shocking things are not going to be front and center for a rock concert that is on a military base. This is not controversy. This is not a real story.”

But if that’s the case, why is there a video of the band performing in front of burning churches on the “Rock Beyond Belief” website?

The military could not answer that question.

“I can’t speak to somebody’s website,” Abel said. “We are reviewing the material and will ensure that event organizers understand that we will have to hold them to a certain level of decency.”

  1. Real atheists ignore religious beliefs of others. They don't care one way or another. Real atheists would not waste time or money to promote something they do not care about. Seems these people who protest so strongly are not atheists at all…but Christians who are in denial so strongly they have turned to hatred to condemn anyone who would dare to point out the goodness, rightness and natural appeal that the human soul has towards its Creator and the standards that Creator asks his children to maintain if they wish to attain eternal peace. These people are simply resentful, and like many in this country, believe they are ENTITLED to all good things, without cost, totally free. When they realize that they will have to work to get the benefit…they turn to hatred, bigotry and bullying. Much like the liberals and unions. I wonder what percentage of liberals are also atheists. That is a statistic I would really like to know.

  2. Science does prove God exists. The probabability that atoms could line up perfectly to form the basic molecules of ammino acids for the building blocks of life; The statistics show it would be close to impossible for that to happen spontaously even a single time.

Even with our advanced science, we ourselves cannot make life in a labratory.

I was not raised going to church or even talking about God. It wasn't until I took many science classes that I began to realize this wasn't all an accident. The overwhelming evidence that we have a 'designer' was something I wasn't looking for but was so happy I found. Thank you God for giving me knowledge and hope.

    • Science does not know how life began. Any biologist would tell you that. But that doesn't prove "Goddidit". It means that we can do more science.

    • Erik Jensen Then if science doesn't know, how can they rule out the possibility of God?

    • Donna Thomas They don't, science has nothing to say about God. Individual scientists certainly have ideas, but they are no more or less valid than the opinions of anybody else on theological issues.

    • Erik Jensen Oh yes they do! I've had numerous arguments with atheist biology teachers and many scientists who are pro intelligent-design are ostracized by the science community.

    • Donna Thomas Show me the biology textbook that says God doesn't exist. Show me the biology syllabus that says God doesn't exist. The fact that your biology teacher is an atheist is an individual theological position, not a scientific position.

That your biology teacher critiques "intelligent design" (a "God of the gaps" argument coupled with incorrect attacks on evolution) speaks well for your biology teacher. Intelligent design predicts nothing, so it is not a scientific idea. It boils down to "I don't see how nature could have done X, therefore Goddidit (errr…. an intelligence did it)". You should read "Expelled Exposed" to see the lies you may have been fed by that awful movie. Yep, people who do worthless scientific work sometimes don't get the jobs they want.

  3. You'd think an atheist would be self-righteous and not concern themselves with what others believe. For them to take action against anything implies they believe there is a danger in it – and therefore 'it' exists!
    DUH!

  4. this once again shows the atttacks on Christ ~ Why wasn't a Buddha burned or a mosque destroyed? What are these anti-christs so afraid of when it comes to Jesus……….. Truly a sign of the worst Apostasy ever. llChronicles 7:14………… wake up America and stop allowing this evil.

Find it crazy how a band cant have their own opinions on a matter. If any body actually knew the band they would realise that wil has no problem with peoples faiths . He is simply just expressing his own in his own music . Freedom of speech people .

  6. Why do they feel they have a right to sing praises at the devils work against Christians? We don't bother them except ask them to join us. Of course, we know Satan's people, Muslims an other sects, hate Christians. The do not know that our GOD is greater that their feeble gods. and will win in the end, when HE chooses to put an end to all evil. HE is just waiting for HIS chosen time to come and HE will liberate all of HIS people, who will reign with HIM forever and Satan's people will be with him in hell.

  7. If the First Amendment permits the burning of Churches and Synagogues, then that portion of the First Amendment needs to be written to clearly define what constitutes permissible speech/expression. No one has a "right" to do, sanction or promote evil.

  8. As an atheist, if Todd Starnes is being honest and not spinning the story, picking choicest bits, taking things out of context, then I would agree that this is all done in major distaste. But I have a hard time trusting Todd Starnes who has a storied history of p,aging the religious population like a fiddle with his dishonest, distorted, spun commentary in the past.

Is that your daughter in the picture? This is being billed as a family event. Would you take your daughter to listen to that band? It seems to me the organizer chose a band that would incite passion. Why not have a band that just sang music for entertainment to all who might attend?

      Love God, Hate Sin.

    • Vivian Bennett-Cohan /

So Mike, you are not denying those lyrics are there, just that we should ignore them?

    • Vivian Bennett-Cohan , I don't know, I've never listened to them before. It's not my kind of music. I like 80's music myself. I haven't read the story in full. I read Todd's story above obviously, but I did not go read the other side of the story. All I was saying is that I don't trust Todd because he has been very manipulative of the religious in this country with his stories in the past. He spins stories in a way to arouse anger and twists things to make them worse. Again, as I said above, I do not know if he has done this in this story, but of the stories I have read from him in the past he has gone as close to lying as he possibly could without crossing the line. Todd has a very specific target with very specific goals, and he will pluck those strings and play the music to get the reaction out of his audience that he wants.

On a personal note, I think there are constructive ways to stand up for your beliefs. I do not know if this is one of them as again, I did not go and try to read their side of the story. I doubt any of you did either. I was just saying don't take everything Todd says at face value. That's my point. For all we know this band and their lyrics is a very small part reserved for later in the show or who knows what. I honestly don't care as I don't plan to attend. If these people want to put on this kind of demonstration, it's their freedom of expression even if I wouldn't agree or attend myself.

    • Vivian Bennett-Cohan Let me tell you a story about sin. Just a couple days ago I went to the Publix supermarket after work. I bought a basketful of groceries and my total purchase came to $14.42. I handed a $20 bill to the cashier and she put $15.58 in change in my hand. I looked for a few seconds as she started ringing up the next customer in line. I spoke up, ma'am my change should total $5.58 and you handed me $15.58, as I handed her back $10. A little back in the line I hear a young child ask his momma "why did he do that momma?". I looked at the child for just a glance, as he gazes up at his mother who looked surprised by my actions. I have no idea if she ever answered his question, but I would hope she would teach him that I did what I did because it was the right thing to do. However, since his mother looked just as confused as he was, I doubt the child will receive that message. I have no idea if she was a Christian or not, but there is right and there is wrong. Had I kept the extra change I would have been stealing from Publix. To me, that's a sin. I don't do ANYTHING because I feel I'm being judged by a ghost. I'm being judged by myself and my own brain. Whether you know it or not, so are you.

Why can't this group promote their own ideals without having to tear down those of another? I thought that is what the first amendment is all about, the free expression of ideas. In a way, I love the fact that they are doing this. At their essence they are reactionary. What would they be doing if it were not for the Billy Graham Crusade? Sitting in their parents basement playing video games with their friends? Working at McD's asking profound questions like "Do you want fries with that?" They are using this event inspired by the Crusade to make money and fame for themselves. What will they do with that money and fame? This will prove whether or not they are just like the people they rail against in their video.

    • Laura Schwartz /

That is why this is a farce. It has nothing to do with Atheism. An Atheist would not bother wasting time on something something they don't believe exists. That is like all of us getting upset of Unicorns and Leprechauns. How about we form a group and take stand against them!!! Lets protest Lucky Charms! That cereal with that Leprechaun has been in my face my whole life! I'm offended when I walk cereal aisle at EVERY grocery store!!!

    • Simply not very nice of these so-called Atheists is it?

    • Dean Myrick /

My own experience has been that there are atheists that are more like agnostic, and then there are anti-theists. This group is definitely in the anti-theist camp.

    • Simply put, the very nature of the disagreement itself on the issue of Gods' existence envokes extreme emotional reaction, because the premise of EACH groups belief system basically implies that the OTHER groups belief system… is incorrect. It's a catch 22 with no empirical answer! That said, I do not condone the promotion of unwarranted violence in any form.

    • My thoughts concerning "god" are not anthropomorphic. Nor are they purely externally revelatory. I agree with the teachings of Jesus, but do not accept man-ma…de religions' fear and guilt based aberrations of spirituality. (Like compliance based damnation or salvation) As for eternal soul and an afterlife? Surely no-one knows empirically! I do however, have strong suspicions of an accessible "force" that we are all sub-atomically connected to.This "force" can ONLY be understood on a purely personal level, and our connection to it may also possibly be utilized by groups of people simply because we are ALL intertwined with it, and it with us. But to each his own.

    • "You can tell the same lie a thousand times, but it never gets any more true!
So close your eyes once more, and once more believe
that they all still believe in you!"~ from "Redneck" by Lamb Of God

Thank you for using your ignorance to further prove the point that Aiden makes in this song and many others. I love that you continue to be shocked by, and are quoting the most literal and straight forward (not to mention true) lyrics trying to illicit a response with them instead of listening to ALL of the lyrics and perhaps realizing the truth through them. You can astound this human race, you can embrace lies built on faith, you can manipulate a simple story of FEAR, PANIC, and GLORY.

Ft. Bragg should JUST SAY NO to these people. This is disgusting!

    • I think it's disgusting that there are people trying to keep the atheists from having their event at Fort Bragg. Fort Bragg should say no to the opponents of the atheists. At least if this is still the America I grew up on? The one where freedom and liberty still have a place in the hearts and minds of the people.

  12. Reading these comments from non-believers once made me very angry; but the more I thought about it I realized it was just one more confirmation of the Bible. In 2 Corinthians 2:14's Paul writes, " The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.: Exactly right, Paul. These lost souls think God is foolishness. I pray for mercy for all of you. Judgment will come – who knows what form it will take.

    • No, you're not understanding. I'm saying there is no god. I know it's not easy for religious people to accept that fact, but it IS fact nevertheless. Religion is the rejection of logic, reason, and common sense.

The brilliance in religion is that the payoff (or punishment) is to be doled out after death and the judgment is based upon your faith and obedience in life. Few concepts could be as brilliantly conceived as this. I would submit to you that faith is the belief in something that defies logic to the exclusion of all the facts. I choose to accept the facts, while religious people MUST chose to reject them. So which is crazier? You'd really better think about it as you have ONLY 1 life to live. You can choose to live it in reality or in faith. I contend that reality is better, even if reality means you lose the hope of afterlife.

Can you POSSIBLY give me one shred of afterlife that can't be debunked by logic and reason? Just one, and I will gladly listen?

    • Paul Swit – There's really nothing new here. We're at polar opposite positions. If time (death) proves me wrong- I've lived a full, moral life by any standard. If you’re wrong, however,… well let’s just say I’ll take no pleasure in it. I don't sit in judgment as so many secularist think is prevalent in Christianity. I’ll leave the judgment to God, I can only have faith in His word. If find it so funny that the creature thinks he’s greater than the Creator. Just for fun, look this one up (Psalm 14:1). God bless you.

    • Chuck Adams You don't seem to grasp the concept of being an atheist. If you are calling me a creature, I can accept that. It's realistic. but when you wrote "the creature thinks he’s greater than the Creator" presumes that I was created by anything more than the DNA my parents had the good luck to conjoin thereby beginning a chain reaction that ultimately led up to our conversation. I don't think you are referring to my parents as "the Creator."

We all live ONE time and when that life ends, we fade to nothingness. We leave behind ONLY what we've done in life, and the memories we leave people with. I don't know about you, but when the day comes that I am breathing my last breaths, I don't want to think back on my life only to remember all the hours I wasted playing mindless video games, watching badly written movies, or chanting to a ghost in a church. life is WAY too precious to waste like that.

    • Paul Swit – I wish you only the best in your pursuit of happiness. Personally I find happiness and joy in my faith. You may not believe this, but I once was an unbeliever. When I was saved, ( a term you're very likely to taunt and poke fun at) there was a change that I cannot put into words. I know you don't understand what that's like and that's okay from the perspective of this conversation, but all of the debate and reasoning in the world will not make sense of what is supernatural. If you have time and would like to watch a series that explores this concept from an academic perspective, please obtain and watch THE TRUTH PROJECT. It may give you a little better persective into the mind of us simple, misguided fools who chant to ghosts. No ill will here – I wish the best for you and I'll be praying that "if" there is a God, he reveals himself to you.

  14. Here is my take on all this….As a Christian, I COULD be offended.Outraged. BUT, I understand your thinking. Here is mine…
I haven't a thing to lose believing what I believe. I try to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I sin, daily. But, ask forgiveness and understanding. I work to do good things for people..whether they are believers or not. Jesus taught to love one another. Yes, there are some Fred Phelps/Tim McVeys out there but most Christians are not like that whack job. Most try to love their neighbor and follow the teachings of Christ. So, we believe…have faith. The FAITH factor is what it is all about.
Now, YOU choose NOT to believe in that. IF we are right, we have eternal life if we have asked Christ into our hearts. IF we are wrong, we simply have been good people trying to do nice things, we die, and that's it. We are simply dead like you.
BUT, in the case of atheists, IF you are right, no harm no foul. IF YOU ARE WRONG….HOWEVER…you and all the other atheists have lost everything and will spend a lot of time heated up! So, it is a matter of choice…
Am I offended? I could be…but I understand your position and what you all like to do. That's fine. I can take it….but if I am right, I am fine dying. COMPLETE PEACE. God can take me in the next five minutes and I am ready to go. How about you?

  16. have you even heard the song? they're not talking about how they support church burning in any way, they're just saying that that's what you crazy ass religious people resort too. No one is fixated on believing that their is an invisible man in the sky, and a goat in the ground anymore, and to prove yourselves, you resort to violence and doing crazy shit.. extremist of every religion is fucked up, but extremists of christianity are the worst.. I mean, you're ALL hypocrites.. It makes me sick to my stomach seeing all these people commenting about this video in such a negitive way when they're just trying to make a statement, and show people what religion is actually doing to this world, it's fucking it up.. I love aiden, and they're the best band out there. They have talent, and they have voices to be heard. They speak up for us who can't. This song should show all you idiots just what you doing to this world.

  17. I wholeheartedly agree that Christians are much more docile than Muslims. I note you would not DARE do such a thing about Muhammed/Allah. Were you to do so, what do you think your consequences would be? DEATH! Your normal, everyday, run of the mill Christian is NOT about death but about life and love. Your acts of hatred would be met with contracts on your lives. The Danish cartoonist that lives in fear? The British author? Lives in fear…why? Because of what they wrote/drew. Timothy McVey was found guilty and punished. Fred Phelps will get his due…when he meets his God. Yes, there are others like that but the vast majority are like Billy Graham/Franklin Graham. BTW, do atheists contribute to things like Samaritan's Purse? I am curious about that. Are atheists going to areas of distress and helping out such as how Willow Creek Community Church had busloads of people going for the past 5 years to help out victims of Katrina….or helping out with the tsunami…giving up vacation time to help others…or the commitment of a group of men from Gurnee, IL that have gone to West Virginia every year for 8 years to help out an Appalachian community that is very poor…building buildings for them to live/work in and paying for it themselves through donations? I dare say you take the contributions of Christians out of the world and it would be pretty sorry. WHY? WHY do these people give to others? Because of their love…and caring about others….as Jesus taught them.
Now, again, if there is no Jesus…if there is no God…then so what! They have helped a lot of people and done some marvelous acts of kindness.
This act at Fort Bragg? Is that an act of kindness? Building up people? Hmmm…see the difference here.

Well, I am sure you haven't been convinced but I am pretty sure of myself on this. Again, I haven't got a thing to lose!

  18. What is so sad is that these people will one day have to give an account of their actions and their heart and kneel before the Lord–but then it will be too late. Imagine their horror and regret when He says: "Depart from me, I never knew you". He wanted to know them—but they rejected Him, so all He can do is give them what they asked for. I do believe the Lord is getting ready to return in our lifetime–70 to 80 years from 1948–2018 to 2028.

  19. I don't believe in atheists. Atheism has produced nothing. What human being has accomplished anything in the name of atheism? Atheism is the weakest human mode of thought in mankind's history. ex. Christopher Hitchins – brilliant mind – now dead, and his atheism died with him. What did he leave behind that will be mentioned a few years from now? Certainly not his atheist library?

    • Jay Jackson /

What are you even talking about. Books are exactly what a writer leaves behind. More importantly, everyone dies and so will you, so the fact that a famous atheist is dead has no bearing on this discussion.

Nothing is accomplished in the name of atheism because atheists don't go around doing things in the name of atheism, they just do things. However, Thomas Edison was an atheist, so there you go. Light bulb. Video Camera. Microphone. Invented by an atheist. The first man to produce ice without cold weather was an atheist named Sir John Leslie. Atheists have been awarded a number of nobel prizes for the years, many of those were awarded for physiology or medicine, so you can credit atheists with advancements that healed or treated a lot of sick people. Atheist Steve Wozniac co-founded Apple. Peter Higgs, who predicted the existence of the Higgs-Boson particle, is an atheist. Charles Bukowski and Isaac Aasimov produced many critically acclaimed works of fiction. The accomplishments of atheists, especially in scientific fields, are ALL AROUND YOU. You just never bothered to find out.

    • Jay Jackson What atheist is remembered for atheism? That's my point. Hitchens will be forgotten as an atheist. Thanks for bringing to light the "atheist pantheon." These people's atheism will too be forgotten. There are billions of atheists, a few famous as individuals, most not. Buddhists are atheists. This is nothing new. My point is what has been accomplished in the name of atheism? Absolutely nothing positive. An atheist's atheism dies with him. A saint's work in the name of faith/religion inspires others toward building hospitals, etc in the name of the said religion. THESE ARE FAR MORE IMPACTFUL AND ARE ALL AROUND YOU. By the way, most scientists have some sort of faith. The list is ponderous, but includes the likes of Newton, Faraday, Pastuer, etc. THEY TOO ARE ALL AROUND. Many did their scientific work as a service to God. Greetings. Baylor – synonymous with faith?

    • Jay Jackson /

Everyone and everything will be forgotten. "Look upon my works, ye mighty, and tremble."

Zero f**ks given about the impact of Christianity vs. the impact of Atheism. I mean, the scientists you name have been dead a long time, and there are a lot less religious scientists in the field today than there were back then. Big names in the modern field like Hawking (and didn't I mention Higgs?) are atheists. But like I was saying, atheists don't WANT to accomplish things in the name of atheism. Atheists who accomplish things do so in the name of positive atheistic philosophies like humanism. Humanists are the atheists who do things along the lines of your "saints' work" argument. And yes, there are fewer humanists and it is a newer movement so humanist charity has accomplished less than Christian charity. But, to be fair, I've never heard of a humanist war or a humanist genocide or a humanist inquisition, so Christianity has a lot of blood on its hands to balance out all that charity work.

Baylor – that was an awful place to be. Why are you scanning my profile for information about me?

    • Jay Jackson Why are/were you there at Baylor? I thought you were a "top commentator" Sorry. By the way baylor simply appears on my screen. Wouldn't waste my time scanning your profile. Your points can be answered succinctly – Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot – famous bloodsucking atheists/humanists (yes, communists and socialists are humanist social engineers) who caused more misery in a few short years than any other combination of human beings in history. Don't know of any humanist hospitals. Jesus Christ will not be forgotten as long as we measure the years by his birth.

    • Jay Jackson /

      1) Evil dictators have no problem lying about themselves to improve their public image. When Stalin claimed to be a humanist he was doing it to disguise himself, the same way American politicians do when they cynically pay lip service to Christianity. You'll have to provide me with some proof for your claim that all communists and socialists are humanists. I was just telling some other fellow that I have studied Nazi Germany rather thoroughly and there is no evidence of which I am aware that Hitler claimed to be either atheist or humanist. He actually despised atheism. I'd like to see your evidence for this claim as well.

      2) It is absolutely none of your business why I was at Baylor. I am not certain why Baylor is next to my name on your screen–it isn't on mine.

      3) Yeah when I said everyone and everything will be forgotten I mean that one day nobody will ever measure years by anything ever again because there won't be anybody. Our civilization will collapse. Our records will be lost. Our Sun will burn out. We could colonize other planets but the odds of that are pretty low since Christians dominate our most advanced nations and they're too busy trying to kill science and cut taxes to ever let a major space project like that happen.

    • Jay Jackson /

      Dn Zach Varghese

"Today they say that Christianity is in danger, that the Catholic faith is threatened. My reply to them is: for the time being, Christians and not international atheists are now standing at Germany’s fore. I am not merely talking about Christianity; I confess that I will never ally myself with the parties which aim to destroy Christianity. Fourteen years they have gone arm in arm with atheism. At no time was greater damage ever done to Christianity than in those years when the Christian parties ruled side by side with those who denied the very existence of God. Germany's entire cultural life was shattered and contaminated in this period. It shall be our task to burn out these manifestations of degeneracy in literature, theater, schools, and the press—that is, in our entire culture—and to eliminate the poison which has been permeating every facet of our lives for these past fourteen years." — Adolph Hitler, in Stuttgart on February 15, 1933.

  20. I find Fox Bullshit when it comes to them talking shit on Aiden.
Wow. A burning church. Big fucking deal.
Did They set it on fire? NO
Are they telling people to do it? NO
Are you paying attention to the real message behind the images? NO
Pay attention to what the lyrics are saying rather than just judging the images dipshits.
    Plus. IT'S FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
Calm your tits and don't tie your panties in a fucking knot.

  21. Zach Byers /

This article is nothing but pathetic garbage. It's in the constitution that people should have freedom of religion, and freedom of speech, Aiden is just as free to express those opinions as you or me. The video and lyrics are not a promotion of Church burnings and murder when viewed in context, they are simply remarking on the murders and atrocities committed by Christians through out the centuries. This band offers hope to many kids like myself who feel left out and abandon by Religious organizations because we're different, and this band brings us together peaceably and without causing harm to anybody else. I suggest you do some research on your own beliefs before you bash us, and Aiden for ours.

The message in this video, is about 'THE DEATH OF FICTION' if you watch the video, they go over all the different 'Religious' crazies who have caused some of the worlds worst wars. Such as hitler and his misconcepted belief that Arians were the only who had the right to life. When he says the 'death of fiction' he means the death of religious extremes, like the islamic who would go to the extreme of flying a plane into the world trade center, or christians that would go to the extreme of burning the Quoran, or how about WESTBOROUGH BAPTIST CHURCH! EXTREMISTS. The video is about the death of archaic misconceptions of human morality. Plus, this is a PUNK-ROCK band, so sometimes that's the aesthetic.
the 'Hysteria' that's caused by some religions is phenomenal, such as this.
In an America that doesn't give a fucking shit, in a world that still run by the same insanity it was run by 2000 some odd years ago, where it's okay to kill a gay man, in a world where being jewish is frowned upon, where everyone has their different ideal of existence and what that means,
Aiden, puts a good fucking magnifying glass up to it, and burns it all into the pavement!

  23. Zach Byers /

Also a message to the christians who are saying that they are being singled out for their religious beliefs. You are not being singled out any more than the Muslims, Atheists, Gays, and various other groups you yourselves single out. I will respect you as an organization when you respect us. I don't mind you having your beliefs but you must not attack others for there's. I'm not attacking your beliefs, I'm simply remarking on your hypocrisy.

  24. Paige Shaull /

I love Aiden and William Francis more than anything else in this world. And, having met them several times, they are the most genuinely kind people I have ever met in my life and way nicer than half of the "good Christians" that go to my school. Fuck all you guys attacking them because of their opinion. And, this song isn't even about religion. It's about the terrible things people do in the name of religion, i.e. protesting at the military funerals of gay soldiers because "god hates fags". That, to me, is way more offensive than this song.

  25. Spencer Hines /

The world as a whole, with all it's Dogma, and Religious bullshit, and it's misconception, who wants to live in a world where someone of another faith can just kill off other people, and then justify it based on their archaic creeds. I DON'T!
"Fuck your God, fuck your faith in the end, there's NO religion".
How every arcahic book can sum up an individual,
and how politics can EASILY use religions to get votes.
"Hmm, is the census buareau says most citizens are christian,
well, if I said I was of another faith, I wouldn't get many votes now would I?
    Guess I'm a christian."

  26. Hard to believe that someone makes an actual living just by preying upon the unwarranted fears and prejudices of the oh-so 'persecuted' Christian majority. What a waste of oxygen and electrons.

Oh well…As Oscar Wilde once said about such unscrupulous demagogic rabble-rousers: "One cannot truly blame them, one can only despise them".

  27. fuck yah aiden kicks ass.

  28. fuck yah aiden kicks ass.

  29. Christian retards FTW to find any reason to feel victimized, and act as if they are a minority.

  30. Ian Patrick Chase /

The funny thing is this band stinks but you all are playing into their hands. They did this to get attention, and you all are giving it to them. Enjoy the money your joke of a controversy brings to them.

  31. Before you read this and decide to attack my beliefs and tell me I'm an atheist, Christian-hating, liberal, just know this, I am a high school student, I was baptized as an infant and attended church semi-regularly until I was about 13. I chose to stop going to church on my own accord when I got into high school because Christianity did not fit my beliefs anymore, simple as that, I have absoloutely nothing against Chrisians, I have lots of Christian friends, and in fact I have a lot of respect for the empowerment people get from religion (any religion, not just Christianity). That being said, has anyone maybe stopped and looked at the other lyrics in this song? It's not about hating Christians and other religions, it's about hatred between different religions and the controversy around religion today, and also it's about all of us learning to co-exist and to stand and fight for our own beliefs and opinions. "Our voices will be heard/Now faith is a question you can choose/Faith whether Christian, Muslim, Jew/Still you all distort the truth" All of the people on here saying that if the song showed mosques being burned or showed hatred towards Islam that this song would be censored but because it's Christians that no one cares, is proving the point this song makes. That every religion seems to believe it has the right idea, and seems to think they know best. But, really in the end it's our choice, we choose our own faith, depending on what works best for us. This whole "story" (if you can even call this a news story) is just the media playing up something that actually has a thought-provoking message and turning it into a Satanic, taboo, hated thing because it's threatening to make people stop and think.
And the unfortunate part is that you're all falling for it.

Is this song anti-religious? I do not believe it is.
Is this song suitable to be played at a venue that is supposed to be for families? I don't think so.
Does this song make a great point? Yes, I think it does.
Is the media tricking you into causing a big stink about this song? Definitely.

  32. Everyone out there bashing Aiden obviously didn't listen to the song at all. Fuck all you Fox News loving drones.

  33. you have all missed the point of the video (as most people do.)
he is talking about how religion is the reason for most wars, how hate for each other is spurn on by religion. my proof for this? how people have responded. you take things far too seriously. believe in whatever you want, but if you're going to be offended by everything then just stay in your house where it's safe.

  34. you have all missed the point of the video (as most people do.)

  35. Katie Titch McCurdy /

Also I has just come to me to add another point . Many of you who dont know the band , who have no idea what they have been through who they etc . You are arguing back to them about ONE Line in ONE song without understanding the meaning within . So who doing the attacking now . Pray for their souls , dont make me laugh . You would struggle not to find a nicer set of people . Have you met them have you talked to them . Cause I have . They love their fans . They spend as long as possible with them . They talk and laugh with them. For those who dont have family they provide a place for them which feels like a family . He is probably more honest and up front than most of you .

  36. I can't believe this is even on this website right now. I happen to be a Christian and Aiden has been my favorite band since I have been 15 years old and I am now 21. They have been a HUGE part in my life and actually have helped me in my life and have saved me so I think everyone that has a problem with them needs to be more opened minded!

  37. This is what all of you are not understanding.. This band isn't doing any of these things. They are singing about how people do this. They kill others because of faith. They burn churches because of faith. It's a song about how religion kills people. It's not directed at on any specific people, from christians to atheists. It's simply saying that these beliefs are going to kill us all. What's wrong with that?

  38. And if you even listen to Aiden's music not all there songs are in this nature. Trying looking into their other songs before labeling for only writing music that is about God.

  39. Anna Patiño /

No offense to any Christian or religious person in here but I honestly think you are overacting to the song.
First of all you are taking the lyrics too literally without looking more deeply in to them. This song is actually how people from different religions manipulate their sacred texts for their own benefit, again is not everyone, but you have to admit that corruption in the church exists. Second point the video contains metaphoric devices is not saying go and burn churches, you just have too look deeply into the significance of what the band is trying to said. William Francis is free to express himself however he is not bashing your believes, you are just overacting. Look up and examine the song with an open mind and with your OWN beliefs not the ones they want to insert into you but what you truly believe. Again this is my own opinion and I respect every single opinion, no matter how bias or closed minded it is.

  40. So am I to believe that Athiests have a religion? Pray tell what is the belief system?

  41. Audrey Dyane Sabaitis Johnston /

That's okay, let them. Hell has plenty if room for all of them.

    • you are one of those who doesn't understand. Hell is a made up place in a fictional story invented by cavemen tens of thousands of years ago. When primitive man was confused by where a person went to once they stopped moving, one of them invented the concept of the afterlife. They had no concept of the function of the brain, and therefore they used magic to base their notions on life, death, and the universe. The really sad part is that we're in the 21st century now, and concepts that started probably 20,000 or more years ago still carry on today. I would say that you should be ashamed except that I realize you, and other religious people are victims more so then perpetrators. You are only parroting what you were taught. You probably can't help yourself but to believe in an afterlife. And even if you could, you probably wouldn't be strong enough to walk without the crutch you've relied on since you were still in training pants.

  42. Great Job! Please give the band Aiden as much publicity as possible, that way more people can hear their great songs. They have always spoken their opinions with out the fear of censorship or others reactions. They're a great band speaking the truth.. The death of FICTION will save us all.

  43. I love Aiden I have been a fan for 5 years and I will ALWAYS be a fan. Will francis in my opinion is one of the most brilliant men in the world. If christian people are allowed to have an event athiests should be allowed as well. I think the video is very artistic and clever and I will stand by my favorite band until the end. =]

  44. I wish people would actually LISTEN to the song, and maybe they will know the REAL meaning it has. Watching the first 10 seconds of the video and not listening to what the singer is saying means your opinion means nothing. Well at least they are getting free publicity from this! I also think it is hilarious that a band like Demon Hunter (A christian metal band) can make a songs telling Atheist and any non christian that they are wrong, but when a horror punk rock band like Aiden makes a mirrored song with a different opinion they are evil and wrong. Now I am not saying the Christian people or Atheist are right or wrong. I am just saying how stupid Fox News (and any other news site crucifying this band) is for being bias piles of crap who probably didn't listen to the song to begin with.

  45. Hannah Weber /

You people are idiots. You do realize the footage actually happened in history. You're all dumbfucks. there end of.

  46. Cory Traves /

That band sucks, weak lyrics, weak song writing. Who cares what they sing about. We live in the USA were we have freedom of speech. Freedom of speech is there for not only popular speech but unpopular speech as well. That all said, mediocre bands desolve quickly and this band is mediocre at best. People are too sensitive these days. Our world used to be full of thick skinned defenders, now were full of thin skinned whiners. We're a world of boy's and girls, we used to be a world of Men and Women. It's sad. very sad.

  47. 1) The video is by a rock band pointing out atrocities motivated by religion- specificially Judeo-Christian religion.
    2) Atheism is simply a rejection of god/supernatural- after that, what atheists think/believe about other things is quite varied.
    3) The atheists I know are actually quite tolerant with respect to people having the ability to worship or not worship in their homes, churches, etc. – most of the atheist stances that come to the attention of the media have been reactions to the intolerance of the religious (typically Christians) and usually in the context of the federal government inappropriately getting involved in religion- something we all should avoid if we cherish our individual freedoms.
    4) Christians are not persecuted nearly as much as non-theists in America- seriously, is it easier to flaunt your Christianity or your atheism in society? Kids in schools throughout America are as afraid to come out of the closet with respect to homosexuality as they are with respect to non-belief- why? Christian love is not so loving….

  48. These Antichrists, are so funny,, they don't believe in God , yet they believe in the existing of God to hate, just like Satan and his angels…Confuse minds and souls, and corrupted actions towards real property… At the end, who wins, People believing in the "Golden Rule"… Love one other, do good to those who used you for Jesus Christ's name sake and up hold your faith in Him…Pray for the lost, at one time we were like them with-out God and apart of Him , Don't worries about God Haters, they too believe there is a God… May God show H is love and grace to love them, so they might have a change mind.and replace hate for love. And help other with their talents and help those who have needs…To show love to the poor, disable, widows and orphans with a right mind and in God's rightness….Blessing God for wealth of being part of him and having are own being…True freedom in the USA. and being an examples to other counties…

      what's a "god?"

    • Jay Jackson , good one, :0) Ask Him yourself…The best question I told Him…Who are you and He will speak up for Himself……Man up then…And ask the greatest question of your life and ask if He's good…Right on! lol

    • Your starting to get wise, Jay…..Smart people love to ask smart questions….

    • Jay Jackson /

Frank Miranda so "god" is a him? he has a penis?

    • Jay Jackson here good reading:

      Galatians 5:16-21
      The Message (MSG)

16-18My counsel is this: Live freely, animated and motivated by God's Spirit. Then you won't feed the compulsions of selfishness. For there is a root of sinful self-interest in us that is at odds with a free spirit, just as the free spirit is incompatible with selfishness. These two ways of life are antithetical, so that you cannot live at times one way and at times another way according to how you feel on any given day. Why don't you choose to be led by the Spirit and so escape the erratic compulsions of a law-dominated existence?

19-21It is obvious what kind of life develops out of trying to get your own way all the time: repetitive, loveless, cheap sex; a stinking accumulation of mental and emotional garbage; frenzied and joyless grabs for happiness; trinket gods; magic-show religion; paranoid loneliness; cutthroat competition; all-consuming-yet-never-satisfied wants; a brutal temper; an impotence to love or be loved; divided homes and divided lives; small-minded and lopsided pursuits; the vicious habit of depersonalizing everyone into a rival; uncontrolled and uncontrollable addictions; ugly parodies of community. I could go on.

This isn't the first time I have warned you, you know. If you use your freedom this way, you will not inherit God's kingdom.

    • 22-23But what happens when we live God's way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.

    • Jay Jackson , He had one when His was on earth, and die a sinner death for you.. Yes He did has a penis….And live beyond the cross thinking about you and us for love…and Rose from the dead on the 3rd day for us, to be free for our sins and be forgiven so we might have the power to live, and so we may have joy knowing of names is in The Book of Life, not the 2nd death…Jesus Christ is God and Lord….and He was a man like us, but without sin.

    • Jay Jackson /

Frank Miranda you haven't answered any of my questions. What is a "god?" What kind of thing is it/he? What is it/he made of?

    • Jay Jackson Yes he had a penis when He came to earth….

      Philippians 2
      Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
6 He was like God in every way,
but he did not think that his being equal with God was something to use for his own benefit.
7 Instead, he gave up everything, even his place with God.
He accepted the role of a servant, appearing in human form.
During his life as a man,
8 he humbled himself by being fully obedient to God,
even when that caused his death—death on a cross.
9 So God raised him up to the most important place
and gave him the name that is greater than any other name.
10 God did this so that every person will bow down to honor the name of Jesus.
Everyone in heaven, on earth, and under the earth will bow.
11 They will all confess, “Jesus Christ is Lord,”
and this will bring glory to God the Father.

      Colossians 1
      Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

The Son of God Is the Same as God
15 No one can see God,
but the Son is exactly like God.
He rules over everything that has been made. [c]
16 Through his power all things were made:
things in heaven and on earth, seen and not seen—
all spiritual rulers, lords, powers, and authorities.
Everything was made through him and for him.

17 The Son was there before anything was made.
And all things continue because of him.
18 He is the head of the body, which is the church.
He is the beginning of everything else.
And he is the first among all who will be raised from death. [d]
So in everything he is most important.

19 God was pleased for all of himself to live in the Son.
20 And through him, God was happy to bring all things back to himself again—
things on earth and things in heaven.
God made peace by using the blood sacrifice of his Son on the cross.

    • 2 Corinthians 3:17

17 The Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

    • Jay Jackson /

Frank Miranda so god is two things. one of them was a man who came to earth from somewhere else. what is the other one?

    • From the Spirit, God is Spirit and the Anointed King

    • Even the Satan knows this, but is against God and us humans.

    • Jay Jackson /

Frank Miranda what is "spirit?" what is "the satan?" who anointed god and what is he king of?

    • Read the Bible, find it yourself, ask God to teach you and ask for the understand of the bible words…Hope you take my advise, i don;t want to waste any more time, and I give you readings for you to learn…What's a blow by…I tried to help you…I' can't sell you because of your lack of faith…Good luck……

    • Jay Jackson /

Frank Miranda I've read the Bible. I'm not going to agree that something exists if you can't even describe it, Frank. How can I believe in something if I don't even know what I'm believing in? When people describe God, they talk about its qualities (god is love, god is eternal) without actually saying what god is, or they start using nonsense words like "spirit" and "supernatural." If I'm going to believe that God is "spirit" then you'll have to explain to me what "spirit" is. How can a thing which exists be "supernatural?" Things which exist are part of the natural world. Supernatural is a meaningless nonsense word, which people use to describe God, which as far as I can tell is another meaningless nonsense word.

    • I tried to explained it in readings, that is why we have a bible and the use of Internet…God is reveal in His word and written in our natural tongue…To understand who He is…Did you read the Gospels in the bible? Jesus Christ, describes as a man who God is, does that make better sense to you? How old are you and what do you do for a living?

    • I tried to explained it in readings, that is why we have a bible and the use of Internet…God is reveal in His word and written in our natural tongue…To understand who He is…Did you read the Gospels in the bible? Jesus Christ, describes as a man who God is, does that make better sense to you? How old are you and what do you do for a living?

    • It take you faith to believe in God, no mine and the faith to understated Him… Simple faith…Like staring you car after turning the engine if you want to move to one point to the other…. And if it don't start, then it take faith to find out why the engine won't start….If we don't move and pick up and read and ask God for the Wisdom and understanding of God in the Bible…There is no done deal….

    • Jay Jackson /

Frank Miranda I am twenty-five. It is none of your business what I do for a living. I was raised in a Christian household by a minister, and I am intimately familiar with the Bible. I was raised a Christian and I truly believed for many years. Now I'll ask you again — WHAT is a "god?" How am I to believe that "god" exists if you can't even tell me what "god" is.

    • Funny that your a pastor kid, raised a Christian means nothing to me at alll

    • Jay Jackson /

Truly believed ought to mean something to you, condescending jerk. "God" means nothing to me at all, so I suppose we're even.

    • i played the part, tell I came to my sense to walk with God….God is love and more… It like love from our own natural father and mother…Feed you, put clothing and you, and took you to school…told you to be good to other and help them with your talents…Be an example of God like….

    • Jay Jackson /

People get that same feeling from Allah and I'm assuming you don't think Allah is real. Why is your God different from Allah? I don't think either one of them is real in spite of the fact that followers of both claim that _____ is "love and more."

    • I wasn't Christian grown up and raise from a family of bieng one and my dad was an Atheists and my mom, she didn't know who se was but religious……Christianity is not a religion, it's a way of life living through God and having a friendship with Him…It's not about don't touch that, or be that way, you can;t do that, your going to hell if you do that…you smell bad, you look funny and ugly…Your on a wheelchair and diseased…It's about love and hsing your own being in God, it's about having a good normal life and having a right mind.

    • It's not about who has the better religion…Keep it simple, be a friend of God…Call him daddy….

    • Jay Jackson /

I have a good normal life and a right mind. But I don't need an imaginary friend to affirm me or fulfill me. Christianity IS a religion, because in spite of the common semantic trick, religion does not mean a set of rules or an organized church, and it includes your personal friendship with your conception of "god."

    • Allah, in the Muslim world, they don't have God, they don't believe that Jesus Christ is God nor believe God is or a Holy Spirit…Muslim don't believe in God…God's name is not Allah

    • Jay Jackson, do you walk with God? Have you ask Him to come in your life? Do you have peace with Him and have joy….Or just mad at God…..Maybe your daddy force you to go to church was too religious with you to not make your own decision in life…Forgive him, if is that way…He still love you and tried to do his best for you…If you have a mom, love her and meet her needs….It took me 41 year to learn to be a man of God…After going thru having a verbal abusing dad and want my mother dead…I put up with crap dad..Saying there is no God…I live a life of sin, stuff i will never tell you…Thank God for His grace towards me….I love Him and learn to love my dad…..

    • Jay Jackson /

Wait, so God is the name of the Christian God?

I think you are confused. Allah is the Arabic word for God. It is a translation. Christians and Jews who speak Arabic refer to the Christian and Jewish God as Allah as well. They do not mean the same Allah as Muslims refer to. Just like when I say Allah is the Muslim God, or Zeus is the name of one of the Greek gods.

Am I mad at God? How could I be mad at God? There's not a God for me to be mad at. Why are you making the assumption that I am not a Christian because my parents did something wrong? My parents are wonderful and I love them. I'm sorry your parents were bad to you and that you regret the decisions you made in the past, but that has nothing to do with my life. It sounds to me like you are angry at your father for the way he raised you, and you have embraced faith because you associate Atheism with your father's poor choices. Don't project that onto me and assume that I am the other way around. I am not an Atheist to spite anyone or rebel against God or man.

Please understand – I find my life to be fulfilling and whole. I am not missing anything. I am not lost or empty. In fact, I have never felt more lost and empty than the years I spent pursuing a close relationship with "God." When I first became an Atheist, I'll admit I was angry, but not in the way you think. I was angry at myself for having wasted all those years chasing something imaginary. All the time I spent studying the Bible and seeking the will of "God" and trying to derive meaning from ancient superstition. Before long, however, I realized that anger is a waste of time — this life is all I have. There's no use crying over spilled milk, I won't get those years back, and I would only waste more of them being angry about it. Besides, like I said, there's nobody to be angry at.

It is O.K. that you have found happiness and peace through your faith, but please understand that there are lots of other ways to find happiness and peace. Your religion does not have an exclusive claim to giving people inner peace and a sense of fulfillment.

    • Wow, you miss the mark, you really don't know God, your right is a Arabic for God, but to them It whs no meaning within the name…God married to the backslider, like you….He has you at His hands…Christianity is not a Religion, i been walking with God, since you were in your mother's womb and live longer to know what life about…I have seen God's angles and Satan demons with my own eyes…..They battles with each other….I seen them in my own room

    • Jay Jackson /

Sorry if I don't take your anecdotal hallucinations as evidence that your delusion is a reality.

    • Jay Jackson /

So you've lived a lot longer than me. Apparently didn't spend any of that time on getting educated.

    • May God open your eyes , if you can handle it……It an experience that bring chills up and very hair rasing…I had too many dreams at the end time…I have seen the Antichrist claiming himself as God and people for him cursing God, very bad words…Stars falling from the skys…People killing people live in the grounds..Dying for their faith…Witnessing the Antichrist meeting in how to use media to destroy God…Too many bad dreams…I saw the open heavens and and Jesus and felt my body lifted up to meet with Him…

    • Jay Jackson /

I don't interpret my dreams as visions of the real world… because I understand how the brain works. And also how the real world works. What makes you think that your dreams are of REAL things? Especially since you're dreaming of things you've put into your head already by reading about them?

While we're talking about income, why don't we just grab a ruler and whip 'em out, too? No, I'm not going to talk about jobs and income with you. That's not what we're talking about. What we're talking about is that you think when you go to sleep at night you see visions of the future in your dreams.

    • Gook luck trying to save yourself without God, you have a mind full of the world and Satan has you where he wants you…Blinded and the only way out is loving God again like the 1st love you had…Please return to you 1st love of God….and pray for the strength to do so…lol
