Christian Teacher Under Investigation For Opposing Homosexuality

UPDATE:

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has chimed in on the controversy saying that he found Knox’s comments on her personal Facebook page “disturbing.”

“I think that kind of example is not a positive one at all to be setting for folks who have such an important and influential position in our society,” Christie told WABC Radio. “I’m really concerned about those kinds of statements being made.”

ORIGINAL STORY:

A New Jersey high school teacher is under investigation after she allegedly posted a message on her private Facebook page that she opposed homosexuality because of her Christian faith.

The Union Township school district said they are investigating whether Viki Knox violated school policies when she allegedly posted remarks saying homosexuality is a sin that “breeds like cancer” and describing it as “perverted.”

Knox also complained, on her private Facebook page, that Union High School featured a display recognizing October as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender History month. The display reportedly featured photos of Harvey Milk, Neil Patrick Harris and Virginia Woolf.

“The district is taking the matter very seriously,” school superintendent Patrick Martin said. “We are running a thorough investigation. The board of education will act appropriately based on the outcome of the investigation.”

He declined to confirm or deny reports that Knox was put on leave and was escorted from the school building by administrators.

Hundreds of people, both supporters and critics turned out at a school board meeting Tuesday night after a statewide civil rights organization launched a campaign demanding the firing of Knox.

“I was pleased with the openness of the meeting and the decorum of the meeting,” Martin said. “There was no calling out, no cheering, or booing. People were listening to what was being said.”

Knox has been advised by her union attorney not to talk to the media, but she was defended by her husband in an interview with WCBS-TV.

“They can persecute her but they can’t prosecute her,” Gene Knox told the television station, stating that “everybody’s entitled to an opinion.”

But a spokesman for Garden State Equality, a group that advocates gay rights, said that’s not true.

“She should not be teaching in the classroom,” said Steven Goldstein, chair of the gay rights group. He said her “vicious, anti-gay remarks on Facebook crossed the line.”

Goldestein’s group launched a statewide campaign to have the Christian teacher fired – sending hundreds of phone calls and emails to the school district.

“I find what she wrote on Facebook endangers the learning atmosphere for students beyond repair and violates the school district’s own policy of a safe and comfortable environment for all,” Goldstein said. “She’s no longer in a position to teach in the classroom because she will make many students fearful of her hatred.”

Ada Davis, an attorney with the Alliance Defense Fund, attended the meeting and said she was very alarmed at how the school system is treating the Christian teacher. The ADF recently represented a Florida school teacher accused of posting similar anti-gay Facebook messages.

“The problem is they don’t want anyone who believes homosexuality is a sin to be a teacher,” Davis said. “Teachers obviously should not be punished for exercising these kinds of constitutionally protected rights. She has a right to communicate her religious beliefs.”

Davis said the ADF found it necessary to take a stand on behalf of the teacher because of what they called the massive opposition against her by New Jersey’s homosexual community.

“She is being persecuted for having a belief,” Davis said. “It’s very scary – she has a right to communicate her religious beliefs.”

Davis reiterated that what Knox did was on her own time, in her own house, and on her personal computer.

Does she believe the teacher is a victim of a witch hunt?

“That’s a very good way to describe it,” Davis said. “Any opposition is just attacked.”

Gay rights groups aren’t the only ones attacking the teacher. John Paragano, an attorney and former member of the Union Township Committee, told The New York Times he was offended by what Knox wrote on her private Facebook page. He questioned whether she could enforce the state’s anti-bullying law.

“Teachers are at the forefront of that, enforcing that,” he told the newspaper. “My concern is that if this teacher had these feelings, is she going to call out the bullying of a gay, lesbian, and transgender person?”

Superintendent Martin was non-committal on how long the investigation might last.

I think it’s a very tough situation for many people,” he said. “We’re having a very difficult time working our way through this. It’s tough all around. I don’t think anybody is really enjoying this.”

  1. Worried that she won't be able to call out the bullying of a gay, lesbian and transgendered person? Hmmmm…. who is worrying about Christian students being bullied? Seems this teacher is the recipient of bullying for her own unpopular opinion. there is no incident of her treating anyone badly only stating an opinon/belief that isn't "liked."

  2. "Teachers are at the forefront of that, enforcing that,” he told the newspaper. “My concern is that if this teacher had these feelings, is she going to call out the bullying of a gay, lesbian, and transgender person?”.

I wonder how she will treat her transgendered students? One day little Tommy comes into class very upset. The next day he comes into class as little Tammy.

Christie is nuts! Homos are deviant and anyone has a right to say that.

From the story: "….he was offended by what Knox wrote on her private Facebook page. He questioned whether she could enforce the state’s anti-bullying law…."

Isn't "bullying" what these cross-dressing pink Nazis are doing to this teacher?

I don't mind gays being gay with each other, but that's not good enough, is it? We must all join them, or be labeled 'homophobic', be fired from our jobs, etc.

If we receive a wedding invitation to a gay wedding, we better not decline, or they'll send their 'hitmen' after us.

To militant gays who demand that we teach our children to engage in gay sex, I say this: enjoy your political bullying while it lasts, but a backlash is coming.

  5. Fascism: forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism.

It shocks me how so many Americans seek to harm to someone (financially/economically by firing them) and by such threat suppress others from expressing similar views because they hold an opinion that is opposite your own. That is fascism, where you stomp down anyone that says anything or believes anything YOU don't like. The gay community today are doing the very same tactics against others that they decried being used against them for so long. Those that are going after this teacher for her beliefs are attempting to silence dissent through threat or coercion. This is supposed to be America where people are free to have their own religious views and free to express them without being persecuted for their beliefs. I find it extremely hypocritical that the atheist, gay community and their supporters for so long has decried the use of such tactics against them but are first in line to use them against others.

  6. There was nothing in her statement saying that she hated gays, lesbians, etc. She said it was perverted – it is according to most Americans religious beliefs. The Christian church says to hate the sin and not the sinner. Did she say she hated – no she did not. I would disagree with her assertion that it spreads like cancer – I do not see there being an ever increasing number of people that believe as they do. And so how does her belief about gays and lesbians being wrong in their lifestyle choice impact her ability to stop any type of bullying going on? What is it about the gay, lesbian, and transgender crowd that make them want to silence any dissent of their lifestyle by calling everyone that does not agree with it a hater. They sound like the ones propagating the hate.

  7. John Forell hey john if your religious beliefs are so irrelevant, how come gays are so up in arms about this teachers post. Gays say they have no choose in -being gay I was born gay as if that is sufficient justification. Next thin on the agenda will be I have no choiceI was born a pedophile. You tell me how that is any different.

  8. Genesis 2:24 ~ Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Matthew 19:5-6 ~ And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Ephesians 5:31 ~ For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

This is absolutely unacceptable. Homosexuals cannot continue to terrorize those who don't approve into silence. Steven Goldstein is trying to bully her into quitting. Let me tell you something. I am not some anonymous coward. I have an opinion, and I'm entitled to it. Last I checked, in America – freedom of speech is a right, not a slogan. I oppose homosexuality. I happen to consider it to be a cult a perversion. This is just the latest in a string of nauseating articles. Two lesbians in California are now drugging their 11 year old child to delay the onset of puberty – so that he can turn into a "she" if he wants to. If that isn't child abuse, I don't know what is. But the police won't arrest them, because that would be "intolerant. Are you kidding me? So homosexuals are above the law? Homosexuals are allowed to abuse children like that – and we're not allowed to say anything? Screw them! Society has about had it with the gay agenda – and it's starting to show. It's not enough for them to be gay anymore. They want to silence objectors, drug children, and re-write history – all while hiding behind some, ironically – very stereotypical rhetoric.

And it's sickening how the gay community attempts to exploit the tragic phenomenon of teen suicides to pursue their agenda. Do the research – that lesbian couple who is drugging that defenseless 11 year old said that if they didn't do it, then he might kill himself. What is wrong with society? Are you all that gullible? Here's what gays are basically saying to children: "Hey kids! Going through puberty? Having trouble focusing? Don't fit in? You may be gay"! Gays are attempting to exploit children during a fuzzy time in their lives, when hormones are pumping and their bodies are developing. No one thinks clearly during puberty! That doesn't give the gay community the green light to try and capitalize on it to turn them gay! And about the suicide rate – children commit suicide because they weren't taught from when they were babies how to overcome obstacles in life. So instead of overcoming their obstacles, they succumb to them – via suicide.

America: Grow a pair and stand up for what's right. Too many cowards in public office who are afraid to stand up to low lives like Steven Goldstein. Opposition is NOT synonymous with "hatred".

Of course, this well thought out and articulate statement will likely be followed by a string of ignorant, hateful comments by homosexuals and their supporters. But let me tell you – you don't scare me. I'm entitled to my opinion, this is it, if you don't like it, go to Hell. To the rest of you, have a nice night.

What total BULLSHIT!!!ITS A PROVEN FACT THAT 95% OF CHILD SEX ABUSE HAPPENS IN HETEROSEXUAL FAMILY'S…ie your more likely to be a PAEDO than any gay Person is…and being GAY IS NOT PERVERTED,NOR IS IT A CULT!!!YOU STUPID LITTLE BOY!!!

    • You are a horrible bigot. If you would like a 2nd opinion I would say you are ugly as well.

  11. Chris Christie/ both names from the name Christ (messiah-messiah)…hummm… any sin is self centered…no matter what you relabel it…even hypo-crisy.

  12. The gay rights advocates are holding free speach hostage. Any time anyone expresses their opinion that homosexuality is wrong, they are demonized for that belief. Homosexuality was illegal not long ago, and now has been normalized as a socially acceptable lifestyle. Next on the agenda will be pedophillia with pedophiles claiming as gays that they have no choice that they were born pedophiles and that makes it justifiable just as gays have claimed. Please tell me how this would be any different.

    • Homosexual sexual activities occur between 2 consenting adults. If you are concerned about pedophilia, look in the Catholic church. What consenting adults do in the bedroom is none of my damn business.

The most loving thing you can do is pull your children out of the public school system.

  14. I know how to solve this. Stop talking about either one at school. No wonder this country has the problems we do. While other countries educate their children so they can better them selves. We have algore in the school teaching fraudulent science to gradeschoolers. We have teachers forcing political agendas that have repeatedly failed over and over. Revisionist views of history. So on and so forth. I am so glad that my parents showed me how to learn and not what to learn. Both of my parents were teachers and also part of the Greatest Generation. We have the leaders we deserve because we took for granted the gift they gave us. Today we don't let the facts get in the way of truths that we are being told and if you dare question it you get investigated. I am proud to be an American but ashamed of our leadership.

  15. Wow, I would say we need MORE teachers like her! Homosexuality IS a sin, it IS perverted and it IS growing like a cancer. She deserves backing and support, I applaud her!

  16. If she made statements against capitalism or America or the rich they wouldn't have done a thing.

  17. actualy I don't think a person that beleves in homosexual activity should be teaching children. especily mine

Seems to me people should be able to hold opinions in the privacy of their home, or their personal facebook page for that matter. If she wasn't espousing these beliefs in the classroom, how can she possibly be punished for having them? Seem highly un-American to punish someone for a privately held opinion. I say this based on the assumption that the opinion only became public because someone "outed" her, not because she expressed herself in class.

  19. Wait… Let's make it illegal to say anything against our king? I hope she files a $50 Million lawsuit against the school district.

  20. Anonymous /

I agree with many of the comments I have read so far. From the fact that by allowing being homosexual to be "okay" and even an acceptable "alternative" lifestyle, we have opened up our culture to the degradation of the family unit of one man and one woman and their children as defined by God. It did not first start with this, but it is all part of a downward spiral that needs to be stopped and reversed if the collapse of American culture and economy is going to be prevented. However, although she does have the right to have her own faith, thoughts, and beliefs, with which I agree from what I can tell from this article, and to discuss them, if it is in her contract and district policies that she is responsible for what she posts on social networking sites and what can be seen on her site, then she has to be doubly aware that it does not go against district policies. That is a responsibility of her job, which, as a Christian, she should be expected to do to the best of her ability. And, if it includes not discussing morality types of issues on social networking sites, then she needs to find other forums to discuss her faith. And/or make her page not visible by the public and anyone not in agreement with her views.

  21. I sit here and as I read this article I see just how much that this country has dramatically let the morales of its citizens deteriorate by a few who have gone to extremes to impose their anti christion views and or way of life and with such disregard for the majority of God fearing and proud american people. as the gay and lesbian groups have penetrated the congress and the 15 members of the supreme court it seems that we of the christian faith are supposed to sit in the corner and be silent while they (backed by their stupid supreme court ) can holler and raise cain at will. well this is one lady that has simply stated her beliefs that the majority agree with and some chicken livered politician is running without a backbone wants her to be fired…ladies and gents we are in trouble if these wannabe politicians try to shut her up for expressing her christian beliefs..this lady needs our prayers and our support to let these dummies know we support her as she is in need of support.

Whatever happened to free speech? She does have a right to her opinion, even if you don't like it. Is it really getting to the point that if you disagree about something that goes against what the liberal media is putting out, you're going to lose your job? Welcome to "Amerika."

  23. Nancy Hanbury /

If you read the Bible, in Leviticus 20:13, it clearly states that homosexuality is detestable to God. Stating your Christian belief is not a case of bullying or being vicious. It is stating your belief in God's laws. Why is it the people FOR homosexuality can say anything they want, but don't afford Christians (or others) the same freedom of speech? What are they afraid of? The truth?

  24. It depends whether or not she was trying to influence the class with her beliefs/opinions. The teacher is suppose to teach the class, if it dealt with homosexuality, then I would imagine everybody in the class had their opinion. Now, the question is, if they are discussing it, the teacher beliefs/opionions would come into play just the students beliefs/opinions would come into play. But if she posting her beliefs/opinions on the internet and not bringing them into class, then there is nothing wrong. It's just like a judge, is he going to recuse himself all the time from a case because he has a belief/opinion concerning it. He is suppose to be impartial. So why the witch hunt with the teacher, I believe there is an ulterior motive. This country is so political correct, you can't discuss any subject for fear of being identified as a racist, a bidgot because of your beliefs. How are you going to convince somebody if you can't hold an honest debate?

  25. The very same rights that allow a homosexual to indulge in lewd, despicable and deviant behavior are the same rights that allow this woman to express her moral beliefs and rights.

No one should be speaking about her view of sexuality on school property, or on school time either -THEY are in violation of her rights!

There are those who oppose, and fear homosexuality, as well as the higher risk of deadly STDS associated with homosexuality. With this in mind should homosexuals be cast out of public schools? According to some people yes they should be, but that's not going to happen due to the social pressure to kowtow to what is "politically correct" -a term which really means 'socially unacceptable'.

The truth is that homosexual acceptance has been forced on those who oppose it; yet, no one is forcing 'morality'; something which absolutely SHOULD be enforced; ESPECIALLY in a school with 'children'. An institution where sexuality should not be an issue. ESPECIALLY something as heinous, and deplorable as homosexuality.

Homosexuality is NOT the nicely painted picture of "love"… that deviants would like you to believe;.
it's not an expression! It is however an immoral 'act'! Which this teacher has every right to deem it as such due to the constitutional free speech, and expression act, and as a Christian it is written in her religion her right to declare the act as an abomination. She could in fact sue the crap out of anyone who has caused her grief over this matter, and I hope she does.

Just as there are those who condone bestiality, and those who do NOT…At this rate someday it too will be considered politically incorrect to oppose it, and people will say that their children may fear going to a school where the teacher does not condone their personal choices. Well guess what? People don't have to condone the choices, or lifestyles of others, and that is THEIR right!

From what I see of this entire display it just shows that this teacher is the only one who has any common sense, and good standing morals. Her superiors if they give in to the immorality and embrace this behavior in an academic learning institution obviously do not! Therefore if anyone should be dismissed it should be them, not her. Take a blind census vote, and you'll see who stands where. I assure you proper parents do not condone, nor do they want to promote homosexuality. They may accept it as a choice of others, but they do NOT want it for their own children, nor do they want it being taught, or celebrated. Sex/sexuality has no place 'in' school. Can you imagine going to your Karma Sutra class, or your S&M class? C'mon you have got to draw the lines, and the lines are at the school doors! No sex of any form inside the facility –Outside, the world is your own. I would fear my child going to a school where anyone actually thinks that homosexuality should be promoted, or acceptable behavior. You know… there are people out there who love their dogs (literally) So if any teacher goes "Ewww… I think that is disgusting, and it's becoming a cancerous trend amongst teenagers who are too afraid to approach, and fear being rejected by real people". Do we fire the teacher over this? NO! This person is only being truthful. What you do with a student in a case like this? You realize that it's a despicable act, and inform the child's parents that they are expressing sexual behavior, or 'discussing sexuality at school' which is unacceptable.

Are you people really so feeble minded that you can't figure this out?

  26. These people are trying to make it illegal to be a heterosexual person in this country. You can not oppose them (gays) in public, and in some cases even quietly to your friends. How in the world would they realistically bring bullying charges against this teacher? They would have to identify every gay person at that school and name them personally as being somehow hurt by her, even though she did not name any specific person when she wrote about her beliefs. The gays are just trying to use her as a punching bag.

  27. Absolutely ridiculous that this woman is being attacked and slandered for having the proper opinion of homosexuality. Freedom of speech. And, Chris Christie needs to shut the f up, big lard ass!

  28. The very same rights that allow a homosexual to indulge in lewd, despicable and deviant behavior are the same rights that allow this woman to express her moral beliefs and rights.

No one should be speaking about her view of sexuality on school property, or on school time either -THEY are in violation of her rights!

She could in fact sue anyone who has caused her grief over this matter, and I hope she does.

You have got to draw the lines, and the lines are at the school doors! No sex of any form inside the facility –Outside, the world is your own, and you deal with the consequences.

I would fear my child going to a school where anyone actually thinks that homosexuality should be promoted, or acceptable behavior. Discussing, teaching, celebrating, or expressing sexuality 'in' school including discussing an employees right, or choice to express their personal opinions outside of the facility.

Are you people really so feeble minded that you can't figure this out?
Lay off the teacher… she's the only one with any common sense.

  29. It seems that this teacher is experiencing the same bullying that tore down this student in Canada. Both a tragedy. This student in Canada was obviously treated badly because of his personal belief. While I don't personally believe that homosexuality is right and I have personal and religious beliefs that are in conflict with such a lifestyle, to say that one view should be protected and another one not protected, it just as hypocritical. My sincere condolences to the family who lost their son in such a manner.

I read a comment here that this teacher should be fired because she would not protect a student from bullying if he were gay. There is no foundation for such an allegation and to make such a statement that she is not fit to be a teacher because of her personal beliefs is equally unfounded.

This teacher made a comment of her personal belief on her own computer and on her own time. That is not an indication that she would not protect the rights of another to be free to their own opinion. I have worked in law enforcement and in the military. I have worn a uniform for a good portion of my adult life to protect the rights of the individual – the rights of free speech, and the rights of an individual to express their opinions. If you feel compelled to protect the rights of an individual to choose a homosexual lifestyle and to express themselves in a way consistent with that, then you should equally do so for someone who has a different belief, choice, desire to express.

I believe that homosexuality is a sin. There is no way that someone can shake my tree on that point. But, saying so does not mean that I hate any person who is gay. As a matter of fact, I would not hesitate a half a second at all to slap handcuffs on any person who commits hate crimes towards a citizen who choose the gay lifestyle. I would gladly charge them with the heinous crime that it is.

It is not right to see a child beat up for expressing his desire to choose a gay lifestyle.
It is not right to see a child beat up for expressing his desire to choose a heterosexual lifestyle.
It is not right to see a child beat up for expressing his desire to choose a Christian lifestyle.
It is not right to see a child beat up for expressing his desire to choose an Islamic lifestyle.
It is not right to see a child beat up at all.

If this is true, then why is it OK to beat up in the public arena this person who is a teacher who chooses to express herself on her own facebook account and on her own time regardless of what that expression is? How many good men and women under our great flag have suffered and died to protect such a right.

My father-in-law has a saying that I strongly believe in. "What's good for the goose is good for the gander. This is truly a hate-filled witch hunt and the victim is this American, woman, who is also a teacher. If she had gotten on her facebook and said that she was a lesbian woman and that she hated Christianity, would there have been a equal outcry for her dismissal as a teacher. Doubtfully. Nevertheless, if there was an outcry, it would have been equally wrong.

This teacher should not be discriminated against because of her personal religious beliefs.

The organization, "Garden State Equality" is definitely seeking anything but equality. It is obvious that they want their agenda over equality. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of press, etc., are human rights that are expressed and protected under the US Constitution. This attack on this American citizen spits on the grave of every American who has fought and bled and died for the freedoms protected under our constitution. This "Garden State Equality" group would probably step up and waive a little American Flag and cry foul if the teacher was being investigated because of her supportive views of the gay lifestyle. But the fact that it is someone who disagrees with them, they are the first to spit.

Garden State Equality – a contradiction. Their behavior in this case makes for a good definition of hypocrisy. Their actions are definitely UN-American.

What a shame that this school district is following in similar footsteps. What they are teaching the children of that community is hatred. They are bringing shame on our constitution and our flag. They are teaching children that they can be punished if they express a belief different than that of the school district. Sounds like bullying to me and if they compromise the civil rights of this teacher (which they may very well have), the school district has really taught a valuable lesson to the students – that lesson is that civil rights are only secure when you agree with the guy holding the biggest stick.

In our history, degradation and intimidation had immediately knocked the legs right out from under the protections that black Americans should have enjoyed under the 13th and 15th amendments of our constitution. It took a long time to remedy those problems. Now, we have a teacher that is struggling to enjoy the protections of freedom of religion and the freedom of speech as outlined in the bill of rights nearly 220 years after its ratification. How far have we come? Really?

This school district is teaching the children in their charge through this situation what America is supposed to be. The question is, are they lying to these children or are they telling the truth? This witch hunt is very UN-American. Hate is Hate, regardless of where it is found.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was enacted to ban discrimination based upon race, color, religion, or national origin in among other things employment practices. It was enacted to afford protections that I strongly believe existed in principle in our constitution.

If you were to ask the school district in this situation if they fully support the Civil rights Act of 1964, they would probably not hesitate to say, "YES." But talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words.

We spent a lot of time and blood breaking these chains. Why are some so desperately trying to put them back together.

  30. Martin Murray /

Many Christian religions teach and their followers believe that homosexuality is a sin. That is not to say that homosexuals are bad, damned, etc… for BEING homosexual but that the practice of homosexuality is a sin and is deviant sexual behavior. Given this the teacher who merely professes her faith according to the school board is subject to dismissal. There can be no requirement under State or Federal law that a teacher change their religious beliefs or be fired from a job. This is the problem with homosexual rights. Homosexuals claim they want equality. They are guaranteed equality of rights. Equality, however, does not mean that the heterosexual population must accept or condone homosexual activity, merely that persons cannot be discriminated against because they are homosexual. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT THE TEACHER DISCRIMINATED AGAINST HOMOSEXUAL STUDENTS OR CO WORKERS. SHE THEREFORE DID NOT VIOLATE ANY STATE OR FEDERAL LAW. SHE CANNOT BE DISMISSED OR DISCRIMINATED AGAINST BECAUSE OF HER RELIGIOUS BELIEF IF HER ACTIONS TOWARDS HOMOSEXUALS ARE NOT DISCRIMINATORY. Sorry the government cannot legislate that all Americans must condone homosexuality only that they cannot discriminate against homosexuals because of their sexual preference. THERE IS A GREAT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NOT DISCRIMINATING AGAINST HOMOSEXUALS AND ACCEPTING THEIR SEXUAL BEHAVIOR AS EQUALLY NORMAL AND NON DEVIANT AS HETEROSEXUAL BEHAVIOR.

  31. So hypocritical. If she were to speak about any other moral issue, she would have encountered no outcry. If she would have stated that she thought premarital and extramarital sex was sinful, people would have said " Oh well, that;s YOUR opinion". If she would have said "artificial birth control is sinful", people would have said "you're crazy, but that's your opinion". If she would have said " what God has joined together let no one part, so therefore remarriage after divorce is sinful" , people would have said "You are entitled to your archaic opinion", but Heaven forbid that she say that the homosexual act is sinful! Now that's just so hateful (sarcasm).

  32. Is it against school policy to have veiws in line with God's Word? Let God be true and every man a liar!

  33. Dana London /

Homosexuality isn't even in the same ball park as a persons race. A persons race is predetermined by genetic factors. Homosexuality isn't a predetermined condition, it just happens! In other words, for generations, african, whites and asians, all have african, white or asian children. Homosexuals don't procreate unless there is medical assistance, and their forparents aren't gay; in all cases, they are straight. So their argument that places homosexuality on the same level as RACE is a bogus one…..can't hold water at all. Just common sense people.

  34. Well, this teacher is being punished for not accepting homosexuality- period! I thought this story was going to have some evidence with some substance saying that there was proof that the teacher mistreated, physically harmed, abused etc one of her homosexual students- no. She doesn't celebrate it. Shame on you for not shutting up and going along with what the rest of defective society has deemed is A-0k. 1st Amendment rights are still hers to be had. I hope the biggest lawsuit ever goes out against the school if they taker her job. Discrimination works both ways, don't you know! Her job skills are not under question. That is the test as to whether a teacher ought to be fired, not possessing Christian beliefs!

@ Jesse T. I agree' every religious group can stand behing their religion but Christians can not. SB48 passed in California and Christian familys can not tell the schools that they do not want their children indoctrinated. It is 100% against our religion but Governor Jerry Brown has taken away our rights and is forcing SB48 onto us against our will. California WILL allow MUSLIM children to pray at school even after parents sued, the courts sided with MUSLIMS and said they are allowed to pray several times a day at school. BUT CHRISTIANS have NO rights! The problem that I see is Americans are not willing to fill the streets and protect their rights, like muslims and illegal aliens. Illegal aliens have protested and filled the streets by the thousands.

The sodo-fascist and lesbian LGBT community must go. They will destroy this country from within, just like a cancer. Given that the governments in this country have by and large chosen to both sanction and defend such contrary-to-God-given-nature behavior as is displayed and promoted by sodo-fascists and lesbians, the only solution then is judgment from God Himself. And, of course, that is now coming, both from God and this country's enemies. It will be the natural consequence toward a country that has more than turned its back upon the only God of the Univierse, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. (Mr. Goldstein will be ashamed of his own thoughts, mouth, and conduct in days to come, and he too will face God's wrath, unless he repents and receives Jesus (Yeshua) as his Messiah and Savior.

  37. There has always been such a thing as NATURAL LAW. Semantics cannot change that law no matter how many have tried to redefine it. Those who fight it probably have the most hurt consciences of all but a defensive argument never proves what is unreal. Natural law is written in the conscience and when the conscience is seared it only lashes out toward what it know is right. The young people who have been encouraged to think they are something other than what they are are only being taught the same hate for normalcy as their teachers of hate. The semantics comes in when hate is taught as love and love is made into hate.

  38. After all, didn't Jesus say in scripture as reported by the Apostles that in the last days, Evil will be taught as good and good would be taught as evil?

  39. Hey Governor Christie, you call yourself a conservative? Guess you forgot about the Constitution and freedom of speech in this case. That is what I find "disturbling." If this teacher was throwing out her Anti-Gay remarks in the classroom, you might have a leg to stand on, but she wasn't. She has as much of a right to her beliefs and posting them on Facebook, as do all those teachers in New Jersey who are Anti-American and promote it both in the soical media and in the classroom. Sorry bub, your stock just went down big time in my book.

  40. Mark Lamprecht /

Interesting the Gov. Christie does not seem to be disturbed by Ms. Knox's individual rights being violated as a public employee. Is that a good example for the American school system?

  41. I can hear the goose stepping coming near…the Gestapo has just asked for my papers, they say my opinions are subversive to the "Green" "Rainbow" Reich and they must be investigated and if need be liquidated.

  42. The fact that the debaucherous and perverted fornication of homosexuality is an abomination to the Lord is not in question here. It is the most important fact though! The gradual shadow assault on Americans by this liberal regime as well as the LGBT is disgusting. They plague your work life, your media time, your school children, your courts and your national constitution. Attack on moral society is rampant! The individuals living this lie as well as the proponents of the lie need the healing of the Father. Many pray for you, although the continual barrage of this behavior on the public is not acceptable. "When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall". – Proverbs 29:16.

  43. Nancy Harkness /

I don't think schools should be teaching anything about sex period! These are private matters for families, not the Public School Forums! I have had enough of the public schools pushing "Politically Correct" crap on our children!

  44. Don't you realize america is not a christian country!
This is not a morale issue it is spiritual wickedness!
This is the kind of spiritual wickeness that makes the.
world hate christians! The unholy trinity, gay, lesbian and.
transgender are all the wicked seed of Satan. They hate anyone.
that disagrees with there spiritual wickedness, even atheist!

  45. Isa. 1:4-7. Oh, what a sinful nation america is. A nation
loaded down with a burden of guilt. You are
Polutted by those who are evil people, a spiritual seed of evil!
corrupting children with there decietful lies, desiring to.
cause them to reject the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.
5 Daily you continue to invite the wrath of God!
Surly you will be forgotten forever.
Why? Your mind is full of wickedness and evil!
and your heart is sick. 6 Satan decieves you daily.
from head to foot, you are a nation covered with.
bruises, welts, and infected incurable disease!
You are without any cure. 7 Your country lies in ruins,
and your towns are burning with lust.
Foreigners plunder your fields before your eyes.
    and destroy everything they see.

  46. Homosexuaity is a deviantt behavior, it is a sin and it is a cancer. So for speaking the truth and speaking out about her faith she will be prosecuted and persecuted , The united states I grew up in is dyeing and I don't like the one taking its place.

  47. I'm so fortunate that my kids were able to be educated outside the public and politically correct education system. The school system indoctrinates with humanism and causes offense to other religions. What the NJ school boards needs to explain is why they discriminate against the teacher's religious beliefs. Why do they support a position that homosexuality is not a sin?

  48. Amy Williams Ott /

Has no one ever heard of hate the sin not the sinner? I am a Christian and have been since I was 13 years old. However, most of the Christians I see on here are shaming Christians as a whole! I have 3 people in my family that practice homosexuality but I love them no less. While I may not personally agree with homosexuality, it is not my place to be hateful and ugly to those who do. I BEG Christians that are leavin such extreme and tyrannical comments to stop! You are not bringing anyone closer to God by what you are posting here. If I was unsaved, I would RUN from religion and God after seeing how you have spoken on here.
"God is love" I John 4:8. There is many verses in the Bible about love….maybe those of you who are being down right evil and hateful with your words should take a refresher course on them. Sometimes Christians are so good at being right that they are most dangerous when they are! We become high and mighty and hurt others with our "rightness."
While I don't agree with the rude and demeaning way the teacher verbalized her comments, she is entitled to them. It was her public page. However, if I was a teacher, I would be very careful to not alienate the students I was teaching. She may of done that. While we all have the right to say what we want and have the right to an opinion, I still think we should filter how those opinions surface from our mouths. Lesson to be learned here is the power of negativism and name calling. Again, I think the constitution applies here but we need to be careful.

    • Amy Williams Ott /

I'd also like to add that I do NOT condone homosexuality but I also don't think that name calling and nasty comments will EVER change anyone or draw them closer to the Lord. My dad always taught me, hate the sin , not the sinner and I think that is a great phrase to live by. When we do evil things that hurt God and go against his principles and commandments, he doesnt hate us does he? He hates the sin we do but not us! Maybe Christians should make sure they are practicing Godly love.

  49. Andy Grant /

To think (of the act itself) is referred to as "alternative" and "normal" is sickening. This teacher is being hunted down because of her beliefs (on ger own webpage) >>And I don't care if she's a teacher or not, it's her page! The vile ones can run around parading their gay pride but she can't proclaim her religious convictions?

  50. A teacher calls a minority group 'perverted' and a 'cancer'. She has made it clear she teaches this to her students in the comments she made. A teacher making comments like this encourages animus and bullying. Bullying leads to low self esteem in young people. It can also lead to suicide. Would you want your kids to be called a 'cancer' by their teacher?
