Don Perry, Chick-fil-A’s chief spokesman died suddenly this morning.
“Don was a member of our Chick-fil-A family for nearly 29 years. For many of you in the media, he was the spokesperson for Chick-fil-A,” the company said in a statement. “He was a well-respected and well-liked media executive in the Atlanta and University of Georgia communities, and we will all miss him.”
Local media reported that Perry suffered a heart attack.
“Don was an incredible friend, a consummate PR professional, and was absolutely in love with Chick-fil-A,” said Steve Robinson, executive vice president of marketing at Chick-fil-A, in a statement.
Perry and his wife have three sons, and one grandchild.

Man fights against those words that hold him accountable. The Word of God holds us all accountable. Man will continue to reject the Law of God because it holds him accountable. I love Chick-fil-a. I don't care what you think about this tragedy. That is all it is, is a tragedy when a father dies with kids that still need him. Who cares what this company believes.

I believe in God and the bible because after a careful examination of the evidence, it is more likely than the other ideas. Quite honestly it takes more faith to believe in the THEORY of evolution than it does to believe in God.

I thought the U.S. was supposed to be a tolerant nation? The Chic-Fil-A. guy simply stated his view, if people are going to boycott for that, then they should stop buying petroleum products! The closest Chic-fil-A is probably 50 miles from me, and I will drive there on August 1 to show my support for what is right. The CEO's right to hold proven and traditional beliefs and the sanctity of man-woman marriage. Consider the homosexual tilt of Greece and Rome and see where they are today. We don't hate homosexuals, just as we don't hate people that have sex with animals and we don't hate people with drug addiction problems. Two men who marry each other can't have kids, neither can two women, unless they get a normal person to help them create that child. The inability to procreate naturally shows that the lifestyle is an aberration.
This is so not about chicken, this is about blatant discrimination and intolerance. If CFA said they didn't support LBGT rights, but they stopped donating and supporting right wing groups, I may feel differently. But sadly that is not the case. I am not a political activist, but I do know MY loving God sees all of us as equal, with the same rights. I am disturbed by the willingness to deny others their rights… and the inability to recall that many years ago similar issues were fought for women and African Americans.
