Back in the early days of the presidential campaign, I got lambasted by Republicans because I raised serious questions about Mitt Romney.

I was especially concerned by his flip flops on key culture war issues. But I was also worried about his lack of specifics on how he would fix the economy — how he would undo ObamaCare.

His conservative credentials, quite frankly, were suspect.

Now, the Republican National Committee will try and blame conservatives for Romney’s loss — accusing them of not wanting a “big tent party.”

But Mitt Romney’s loss had nothing to do with conservatives. It had everything to do with the party nominating a RINO – a Republican in Name Only.

This is the party that turned its back on pro-life candidates.

This is the party that turned its back on Sarah Palin.

And if the Republicans don’t get their act together — conservatives may very well turn their backs on them.
