Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball Recipe

By Michelle Cox

The Super Bowl is almost here so I thought I’d share this recipe that you can serve as a sweet treat when your friends come over to watch the big game. And I think you’ll love our next recipe for delicious Georgia Po’ Boy Sandwiches that you can serve at your football feast, so check back in a few days.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

8 oz. cream cheese, softenedSuper Bowl Food

½ cup butter, softened (no substitutes)

¼ tsp. vanilla extract

¾ cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons brown sugar

¾ cup miniature chocolate

¾ cup chopped pecans

Graham crackers (honey grahams and chocolate)

In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter, and vanilla until fluffy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and the brown sugar; beat until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. Cover and refrigerate for two hours. Shape into a ball; roll in the chopped pecans. Serve with graham crackers.

*Get creative with shaping the cheese ball. The one today is in the shape of a football. Do  a heart-shaped one for Valentine’s Day or try a tree shape for Christmas.
