The anti-capitalist protesters occupying Wall Street are furious that homeless people are eating their upscale food. Read this exclusive report from the NY Post.
Wait wait wait… I thought that "Occupy Wallstreet" was all about helping the homeless, jobless, etc out? And suddenly they're anger at REAL homeless people for wanting part of it? Oh whoa is them! How dare the people they're supposedly standing up for want what they have, just as they want the rich millionaire's money. Hypocrites, all of them. Just get a job and move on with life, stop living on public land. Yes the economy is bad, but lazying around all day blaming the rich for what the government's done is just stupid. I'm betting the people during the Great Depression didn't even whine this much. =/
if by "professional homeless" they mean known panhandlers, the sort Republicans like to typify all homeless and jobless as being, I can understand that they don't want to become a magnet for those who will brand the movement as consisting of those who don't want to work. On the other hand, many of these so-called professional homeless are people who have simply become incapable of caring for themselves any other way than panhandling. Turning them away will not make them more responsible. Including them will demonstrate the compassion that they claim they are seeking – not a free meal but a chance at human dignity. What dignity is there in turning away the hungry?
It's amazing to me how committed Fox News and other News Corp subsidiaries, like the NY Post, are to discrediting these protests without actually covering them. So the food workers at an extended street protest are overworked, under-resourced and squabbling. Is that the news? Real journalism would be looking at where the money for that food is coming from, how that food delivery is organised and, of course, the thrust of the protests themselves. Instead Fox & News Corp delivers superficial cheap shots that reinforce its own political narrative. Horrible, untrustworthy journalism.
haha…..this is crazy! I thought they were the 99%…..well I guess it only applies when it benefits your warped opinions. These people probably wouldn't know how to help themselves with a written manuel. go home OWS people take a shower and get a job!
Yeah, apparently their "years in college" never taught these people that sharing is good, even if you don't get anything in return. I'm betting they were told something else in those classes. Another thing I find funny is, by the time they get done with this whole protesting mush, they could've gotten jobs, shared apartments, bought houses together to share, etc. Not all of them have had such luck, but I know those young people my age (mid 20's) could easily find work, easy or rough.
I don’t understand these people, they claim to want our government to take from the rich and give to the poor. President Obama has been touting this idea since becoming a viable candidate for the presidency. He says he backs this group and what they stand for. I am sure the occupiers like the backing of President Obama. They have been brought to the forefront and have the blessing of most of the media. Other countries worldwide are starting groups, which imitate what Occupy Wall Street is about. This group cannot become angry, when the poor and homeless come to eat food which is donated, then claim the agenda to take from the rich and give to the poor. The Occupy Wall Street group cannot have it both ways.
Occupiers need to be willing to share their blessings, atleast that's what the LORD says. I personally think these folks are out of control, they need to take all that energy & start looking for jobs. I
And again if you read the article you will see that it wasn't just homeless people they had issue with, it was also the ex-cons and other rabble-rousers who weren't even there to actually protest.
Still it seems rather oxymoronic for a group that focuses on the excesses of capitalists to be eating such high-grade foods at a freaking protest against greed and spending and whatnot.
That would be like me showing up to a tea- party with an Obama 2012 sign.

This article made me laugh. Apparently the protestors have their limits when it comes to helping the "poor."

What do you mean they don't want to share. What's wrong with those people?
