“We are here to nominate a president and I’ve got one in mind, former President Bill Clinton told delegates at the Democrat National Convention last night.
I bet he does have one in mind — his wife.
Clinton’s speech at the DNC had to be one of the toughest jobs — renominating President Obama to a second term.
Only four years ago Clinton hated no one more than Barack. This “fairy tale” campaign Clinton had spoken of is now asking for a second term.
The relationship was beyond frosty in 2008. Remember what happened in South Carolina?
“I think that they played the race card on me,” Clinton said of the Obama campaign. “We now know, from memos from the campaign that they planned to do it all along.”
I personally would love to be in that ballot box when Clinton pulls the lever for Gov. Mitt Romney and Rep. Paul Ryan come Nov. 6th.
Clinton was the first Democrat in this week’s convention to have the audacity to say “We are better off than we were four years ago.”
Debt skyrocketing, unemployment up, gas up, and college tuition up. And we are better off?
Yesterday, I wondered if liberals are delusional — but I think the real question is are liberals just liars?
Day Two at the DNC appears more like Sin City.
Let’s start with Clinton — who cheated on his wife, desecrated the Oval Office and was impeached. He is the poster child for everything that is right with the Democrats.
Then you have Elizabeth Warren who rigged the system by declaring she was Cherokee Indian. By Warren’s standards I am an Indian as well; 1/32 that is.
And don’t even get me started about Saundra Fluke.
The Queen of Contraception was given speaking time at the Democratic National Convention.
You can’t make this stuff up.
A woman that believes the taxpayers should pay for contraception and abortion.
If these three people are some of the “best” of the Democratic Party than God help us all.
What fundamental transformation occurred in the Democratic Party that when the words “God and Jerusalem” were added back to the platform boos and jeers could be heard throughout the stadium.
Here’s some advice for the Democrats — watch out for cloud to ground lightning.
Be sure to check out Dalton’s blog — A Teen’s Take on Politics and by following Dalton on Twitter @dglasscock. Dalton is a guest columnist on Fox News & Commentary.
If these Fluken Dems think the country is better of now than four years ago then they're sniffing too much of their own pot and flatulence mixed together. Then again they'll say anything to convince the uneducated and ignorant voters out there when in reality we all know the truth. Down with this tyrannical socialist misadministration.
The COUNTRY is much better off than it was 4 years ago.
if you are being honest, you are a fucking moron!!!!
Seriously? What possible measure could you be using to make that judgement?
For the Almighty to be included in their platform, they required a VOTE? I'm sure that is troubling to many who call themselves Democrats and I hope they see the malignancy within their party before those people destroy our entire nation, our economy and before our citizenry is reduced to nothing more than serfs in a feudalistic system.
According to the news, the Dems removed God and Jerusalem as the capital of Israel from their platform in order to accomodate athiests and Muslims who make up part of the Dem base, as ridiculous as it sounds. I just hope the Dems keep it up, they're on a roll and these moments like last night are priceless and says a whole lot about this pandering party.
It makes sense, the Democrats always did seem to be the party of choice for non-Christians.
His last statement was the best . . . about advice to Democrats watching our for cloud to ground lightening.
Yes, thinking people.
You don't think religion perpetuated the feudal system? Go learn some history.
It's been proven in countless studies that conservatives in general are of considerably diminished intelligence compared to liberals, with those conservatives that believe in a 'god' being the very least intelligent of all…..
Funny thing is, "the Almighty" isn't mentioned in the Constitution, and the first mention of religion is that no religious test be administered in assuming office.
Shelley — Why don't you come out and say what you REALLY mean?
Christians (of the "correct" stripe) are ordained to run this country — and all others should resign themselves to being second-class citizens!
The part that shocked me a little was the fact that there was absolutely no discernible difference between the ayes and the nays, yet the speaker was willing to arbitrarily call the vote in favor of removing God from the platform.
boos and jeers, indeed as I watched live….moderator lost control, and I am surprised the podium was not stormed by angry folks who had won, rather easily, but lost to 4 more years of lies. determinately cloud to ground lightning.
Dalton, your young mind is still being molded, so I'll give you some leeway here. But did you ever consider that they were not booing God, but booing the process by which the amendments were added – by a "voice vote" with a predetermined and preferred outcome? The voice vote, in my opinion, was not two thirds, but it passed anyway. Something, by the way, Tip O'Neil was notorious for, so it is practiced by both sides. Or perhaps they were booing having a religious clause rammed into the platform where one was not necessary, because they were trying to be inclusive of all Americans, not just Christians? You might not understand that, having attended the lily-white RNC instead of the far more diverse DNC.
Also, young Dalton, let's get something else clear. Presidents of all parties have cheated on their wives and been adored by history – Thomas Jefferson, Lyndon Johnson, John Kennedy, to name a few. Shall I even begin to name the senators and congressmen? Clean up your own house before you criticize that of others.
Finally Dalton, let's clear up the biggest fallacy of all. Politicians are just that: politicians. Every one of them will, and likely has, lie, cheat and steal their way into office, take money and bribes from countless sources, pander to interests they don't even believe in, all for the sake of keeping their jobs – and we let them. When one side does it, the other goes up in arms as if they are innocent of all charges. Let's start waking up to reality and holding ALL of our elected officials accountable. We own the power, not them, but we keep surrendering it back to them time and time again in the name of "party loyalty". Let's face the reality of 2012 – Romney has no chance of winning this election, and Obama has no chance of fixing the economy in the next four years. Why? Because they are too busy kicking sand at each other (and us as well) to get anything done. Clinton gave an inspired speech last night, but there was one topic that neither side should disagree with: cooperation is the only way to get things accomplished for the good of the American people. Romney and Ryan will not compromise for fear of losing the tea party. Obama and Biden will not compromise for fear of losing the ultra liberals. Had you guys put up Huntsman, you might have had a chance. But he actually used his brain, and that will get you nowhere in today's political world. Use your coming years to educate yourself, Dalton, about the realities of politics. Then so your best to change it instead of becoming just another pawn for the status quo.
This is coming from a kid whose name is "Glasscock."
Ok now "Barbera".
It's a solid name.
Has a nice ring, doesn't it?
Barbera is a woman's name…
Michael, I find it sad that someone going to a college in my home state would belittle someone for their last name. This forum is for comments on the article, not banal quips about your trivial observances about a potentially unfortunate last name. Comment about the content of the article. This "guy" you're joking about is a high school student and yet he has shown us more intelligence than you have…
um Roger Engle, have you read the Fox News Comments Section? it's basically a place for everyone to be complete dicks to those who dont' agree with them. There are a few gems who try to rise above it, but mostly not.
Not really sure what point you thought you were making there, Matt Springer, but it didn't really work…
What's sad is that your petty attempt at sarcasm neither got anyone riled up as you had hoped, nor made anything resembling a point. The comments section of any online news source is for comments to be made on the contents of the post. Mr. Barbera, who probably had to deal with other people making fun of HIS name throughout his youth, felt he should forward that joy to someone else. That's not the purpose of a comment section on a news website. It's a juvenile act that deserves to be called as such.
woah. I am not trying to get anyone riled up Roger. My points still remains the same. Most commenting sections on the articles here quickly degenerate into off topic areas. I agree that the commenting section on a news site is for the contents of that particular post.
My apologies, then. My first attempt to get you to further clarify your point was not responded to with any clarification and I therefore made that assumption.
It should be noted that while some seem to think that off-topic flaming is the purpose of such comments sections, that type of activity does nothing but further divide people who are usually all but in agreement with each other at the beginning. That's why I try to call people like Mr. Barbera out when they do this.
Is Starnes passing the herpderp torch? Kid is a better writer, at least.
And he 'loves' America, although most 18 year old males demonstrate that by enlisting in the military….
Dalton, you're a funny one. Thanks!
Dalton, you're great. But of course you've got one of the very best teachers anyone could possibly have. Dearly cherish your tutelage by Todd as it will propel you on to much greatness. I want also to invite you to look at the facts of the democratic party's heros. They are given to sex worship. You will find this parallel in the Bible in the condemned Baal worshipers. Sex worship began in the 60's sexual revolution. These people are the products of unlicensed and immoral sex. It eats at their brain and corrupts everything they think, say, touch & do. And is why their reasoning is so off center & they are given to lying about everything. Because they were not raised in healthy families where the mothers and fathers were faithful to each other, they are missing part of the human experience that is loving. They mistake sex for true love. All of this political fighting back against them is very good. And will do much to turn the tide. But it is still only the beginning. What is much more powerful is the turning back of the minds and hearts of America to Biblical standards of sexual morality and chastity. As we go forward and whether we win the battles in politics or not, still our most powerful tool to combat the evil of the left is the sincere turning once again to sexual chastity. Joseph a slave in the Old Testament was raised to the highest level in Egypt through his chastity. David, the beloved King of Israel, was dethroned by his own son because of sexual immorality. I invite all of you who truly love America to tap into this immensely powerful weapon of living a chaste and moral life.
Barf. Try looking at some of the Republican "heroes" that gave in to "sins of the flesh", then get back to me.
Well said, Kristy!
You just KNOW that this poor, clueless kid gets his scripted talking points and "suggestions" on some RNC notebook paper, and with a fresh brown nose, goes on to recycle the same old tired crap in a bid to be noticed by the party queenmakers.
Dalton, why don't you look up a guy named "Governor Mark Sanford"–yeah, he's apparently now MARRYING the Argentinian whore that he cheated on his wife with for YEARS.
And Dalton? Come on. Just confess–how many condoms you got in your Brooks brothers wallet that Todd gave you with a wink? 'Fess up, kid.
Zizzer Zazzer Zuzz
That kid couldn't get laid if he climbed up a chickens ass and waited.
Jay, are you saying that's how you think it's done?
Top shelf Dalton. Check out this article, inspired by you.
Glasscock's name shows why he doesn't fornicate!
You like making fun of kids huh. Just like a typical bully Democrat. How mature.
He has a lot of nerve making fun of anybody for ANYTHING… This guy literally looks like a big baby. How adorable lol
He actually looks like on of Darryl's "other brothers"…
Hey Berger, stick to commenting on the issues and leave the third-grade recess talk for your school mates…
It's not the democrats who are going to destroy America, but those wolves in sheep's clothing, the despicable religious right. And it's the REPUBLICAN party which is in bed with them, not the democrats!
You must have them confused with McKenyan the despicable socialist, aka the Tyrant-in-Chief.
Joel, could you please supply some actual cases wherein Obama exercised tyrannical abuses of power and tell us how that affected your life?
How about that Obamacare? That sounds pretty Tyrannical to me: FORCING people to pay for this bullshit with the threat of jail and/or fines if we don't… Satisfied?
-Forcing Obama-care through Congress without any debate from the minority party means everyone's insurance costs an average of $2500 more per year and a doubling of the national deficit.
-Fast and Furious meant death to at least one Border Patrolman and many innocent Mexicans.
-Blockading of permits for oil drilling on federal land and refusal to connect to the Canadian pipeline have led to a doubling of the price of gasoline.
-Action against Libya without Congressional approval, refusal to reinforce security in the Benghazi Mission after repeated requests and Arab Spring led to a disastrous coordinated terrorist attack resulting in the death of one of our Ambassadors…
II wonder if this kid is doing Hannity yet….
You know it's sad that so many people STILL believe in Obama after he's already shown his true colors so often. But all hope is not lost because here's this kid, this fresh, wet behind the ears young man who is still young enough to be naive and yet he sees right through all the bull crap coming from the DNC and calls it like it is. Kudos Dalton! (I saw some jerk below in the comments just had to try and roast you for your last name, as if you've never heard that before. Don't let it bother you because you've got balls of steel!)
I wonder how hard Sandra Fluke got gangbanged at the convention…. She's about the most sickening human being alive! The tax payers shouuld not be responsible for her whoring around.
the slut just needs to keep her legs shut, hows that for birth control, dirty ho, and when she gets an STD, i'll bet she want us to pay for her treatment too…..typical DEM….
Neither of these comments is worthy of Obama's opposition. You think that by stooping lower than her level you will actually bring some sort of change to the way people think? Sandra Fluke's (as well as the DNC's) reasoning is seriously flawed, but in light of the comments you two have made here I find it hard to believe that anyone would be swayed to change their loyalties by you even if they already realized it.
I'm not trying to sway anybody here. If you know liberals, you should know that they have their mind SET!! And nothing whatsoever is gonna change their opinion. Liberals are very stubborn people that believe the American way should be the way they want it to be. No negotiating, nothing. IT's their way or the highway. I am mostly conservative, but I have beliefs that align with liberals (marijuana legalization, for example)
My beliefs are very similar to yours. All I'm saying is this young guy is trying his best to speak out and make a difference in an area he believes strongly in. The only way to make that difference is to sway people who are not totally committed or are completely undecided. (Hence the minor 47% boondoggle in that Mother Jones scoop last week.) I agree that Fluke lacks moral foundation and she is probably one of the worst "poster" children the DNC could have picked, but when you venture into vulgarity you give her and her cronies the upper hand by fiat. Remember how the liberals took Rush Limbaugh's comments and turned them into an anti-conservative firestorm for a while?
Think about it like this, who would you support if you walked up on the situation knowing nothing about either participant? The woman who is crying and defending herself, or the strong, healthy young man who is swearing at her, insulting her and disparaging her character? When I was a kid I loved good Westerns. None of the good guys would ever speak to a lady, (even an underhanded, conniving lady) the way you were. Nothing personal. I'm just saying.
Yea you got a good point. It's just that this lady sickens me beyond belief. I'd shake Ahmadenajad's hand before I'd shake hers, that's all i gotta say about her lol
