With the end of the fiscal year coming this Saturday lawmakers must work on a funding extension or risk a government shutdown.  GOP leadership in the House is hoping to pass bills that would put them in a better negotiating position with a Democrat-controlled Senate without angering the right flank of the party.  Key issues such as funding for the War in Ukraine as well as the border crisis  headlining the negotiations.  Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS) is the ranking Republican on the Armed Services Committee.  Sen.
