Vice President Joe Biden says Governor Romney and the republicans don’t understand the plight of the middle class.  He said democrats believe the middle class no longer gets a “fair shot” at achieving their dreams.  Does the middle class have the same opportunities they did a generation ago?  

Justice Served?

Skechers will no longer be allowed to claim their “toning” shoes will help you lose weight, and now they have to pay $40 million in a class-action suit.  Was justice served, or were customers stupid to think a shoe could help them shed pounds?  Should judges reward people for not using common sense?

Some high profile conservatives are coming out strongly against the increased use of drones by local police departments. Even Charles Krauthammer is proudly siding with the infamous ACLU over the issue. Tom however, doesn’t get why it’s such a big deal. He explains why.

California Governor Jerry Brown revealed on YOUTUBE this weekend that the state is in bigger trouble that anyone thought. Brown says California’s budget shortfall was now projected to be $16 billion, not the $9.2 billion they thought back in January.

While President Obama said this week that gay marriage should be a ‘state issue’, Tom believe it’s just a matter of time before the White House pushes for a federal law. “Jennifer From Sacramento”, who is in a legal gay marriage, called in and helped prove his point. Jennifer explained while she does receive some federal tax credits, she doesn’t receive some basic federal benefits that heterosexual couples receive. Post Office Pushback

After pushback from the public, the Postal Service is now backing off on plans to close thousands of post offices across the country.  If an outdated and unnecessary publicly-subsidized institution can’t be reformed, is there any chance we’ll ever see the Medicare and Social Security reforms we desperately need?
