S.A.G. Award Winner Dale Soules Stars In Oscar Winner’s New Play

Actress Dale Soules just took home her third Screen Actors Guild Award as part of the ensemble cast of the hit Netflix series “Orange is the New Black.” Soules plays one of the “Golden Girl” inmates, Frieda Berlin, who played a pivotal role in Season Four.  She is also key to how the plot unfolds in Academy Award winner James Lecesne’s new play “The Mother of Invention” now on stage at New York’s Abingdon Theatre through February 26.

FOX’s Jane Metzler talks with Soules about her role in Lecesne’s comedy, about a family’s struggle with Alzheimer’s disease; what her family’s story has in common with her TV series, and how teachers helped turn an isolated teen into a polished actress who would go on to win acclaim alongside the likes of Patti Lupone, Laura Linney and… Big Bird???
