Michelle Malkin On Violent Berkeley Riot: Ironic These Universities Tout Themselves As Safe Spaces

Last night a protest at the University of California, Berkeley (the same campus where the Free Speech Movement began) turned violent and destructive. Over 100 “agitators” stormed the campus and turned what started as a peaceful protest against Breitbart Editor and right-wing commentator Milo Yiannopoulos, who was scheduled to speak on campus, into an all-out riot. Yiannopoulos was eventually evacuated from campus and his event was canceled, which leads to the question: is freedom of speech dead? What is happening to our next generation of Americans? Award winning journalist, #1 New York Times Bestselling author and host of the new Internet TV show “Michelle Malkin Investigates,” Michelle Malkin joined Kilmeade and Friends today to discuss this issue, saying, “It’s ironic that here these universities and colleges tout themselves as safe spaces, but if you’re a conservative speaker, you better come in riot gear!”

Kilmeade and Malkin also discussed the Democratic tactic of sitting out committee votes to delay the outcome, Malkin saying:

This is what they do, and it’s been such a kabuki theater over the years for these people to point their fingers at the Republican party, and to use the phrase Republican obstructionism when they are at the heart of it in Washington DC. And of course all of your audience is so familiar with the rank hypocrisy of the likes of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama all the way down, these people counseling Trump supporters, Republicans, Conservatives to gracefully accept the results of the election and they don’t plan on doing it for the next four or eight years. Really Brian, if they continue the way they’re going it’s going to be Trump 2020.
