Takata Pleads Guilty

Takata pleading guilty from charges that stem from falsifying data in air-bag testing.

FOX’s Jeff Monosso has the details of the plea from Chicago:

Takata agrees to plead guilty to concealing air bag defects and to $1 billion in fines and compensation to automakers and victims in connection with Takatas’s faulty airbag inflators that can explode in a crash, spewing medal schrapnel into vehicles, to date, killing 16 and linked to scores of injuries world wide.

The Department of Justice also announcing indictments of three former Takata executives. And this after Ford, Honda and Toyota this week added more vehicles to the biggest recall in U.S. history.
