School District Considering a Skinny Jeans Ban

There’s a new clothing issue in one school district in North Carolina, which is considering a ban on some pants that are just too form-fitting.

FOX’s Eben Brown reports:

The school board in New Hanover County, North Carolina, near Wilmington, might opt to disallow pants that are too tight on students. This would include those trendy skinny jeans, but also leggings and denim leggings, called jeggings, and yoga pants.

The policy being discussed specifically says students would not be permitted to wear such pants unless worn with a top or dress that cover the posterior in its entirety. A board members says they’re dealing with the matter after hearing some bigger female students wearing such trousers were getting bullied.
