Wendy’s Installing Self-Serve Kiosks to Replace Some Clerks – Reaction to $15 Minimum Wage?

Is this the fast-food wave of the future? Or is it a way to avoid paying the new minimum wage? Some big changes coming to the way you’ll order your Baconator and Frosty at Wendy’s.

FOX’s John Saucier fills you in:

Remember when they used to say “where’s the beef?” in those old Wendy’s commercials? Well now customers of the fast food giant may soon be saying “where’s the clerk?”

That’s because starting next year, company owned restaurants will be replacing counter clerks with touch pad kiosks. That’s how you’ll place your order. This in reaction to rising minimum wages across the nation.

Franchised owned stores can decide whether to go ahead with the kiosks or opt out in favor of letting a person take your order.
