PayPal Opts Out of Charlotte Extension Plan Following Transgender Law

Another company opts out of doing business in North Carolina.

    FOX’s Eben Brown reports:

PayPal is the latest company to decide they don’t want to do business with North Carolina, over the state’s recently passed law that removes protections for gay and transgendered people.

That law was quickly passed to overturn a Charlotte city rule allowing transgendered people to use the bathroom of their gender identity. PayPal had plans to build an operations center. Now they wont, and won’t hire the 400 workers they had planned on offering jobs.

A statement from PayPal says the state law violates their company’s values.
