Sen. Graham Explains Why Ted Cruz Is Wrong On Carpet Bombing

“It won’t work…. I have been an Air Force officer for 33 years. I don’t get what he (Ted Cruz) is saying. I can tell you this. There is no substitute for a ground component. You can’t beat an army from the air. You need an army to beat an army. Name one general who suggested we should carpet bomb as a substitute for a ground component?…. I like Ted. Ted, you need a ground component. Listen to General Jack Keane.”

—-Senator Graham on why Ted Cruz is wrong on carpet bombing ISIS

Former 2016 GOP Presidential candidate, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), joined Kilmeade & Friends in studio to talk about why he decided to support Senator Ted Cruz instead of Donald Trump & John Kasich for president, why he is not in favor of Ted Cruz’s plan to carpet bomb ISIS, who he feels is to blame for the violence at Trump rallies, why he feels President Obama has no interest in taking out ISIL and what we need to do to protect America from a future terrorist attack.

Watch here:

Senator Graham on why he disagrees with Senator Cruz on carpet bombing ISIS

(KILMEADE) You are against carpet bombing ISIS.

(GRAHAM) It won’t work. They hold land the size of Indiana. They are embedded among millions of people. I don’t want to kill everybody in Rocca.

(KILMEADE) But Ted Cruz Does. He said it again yesterday.

(GRAHAM) I have been an Air Force officer for 33 years. I don’t get what he (Ted Cruz) saying. I can tell you this. There is no substitute for a ground component. You can’t beat an army from the air. You need an army to beat an army. Name one general who suggested we should carpet bomb as a substitute for a ground component?

(KILMEADE) Did you tell him? You are on the Cruz Train.

(GRAHAM) I like Ted. Ted, you need a ground component. Listen to General Jack Keane.

(KILMEADE) You could call him, you have his number.

(GRAHAM) He is listening to this show. Ted, a more aggressive aerial campaign makes sense but we are running out of targets. Listen to Jack Keane. Have you had him on your show?

(KILMEADE) Every time we can.

(GRAHAM) Well why aren’t we listening to him because he was the architect of the surge. Why don’t we listen to people who actually fought wars?
